#29 - Spider-Man Treatment

"Hi! Guys!" Gwen, who was holding a bag of takeout in each hand, smiled and greeted Peter as soon as he opened the door.

"I brought you delicious burgers."

"Thanks, Gwen. Oh, this is heavier than I thought." Peter quickly took the takeout from Gwen's hands. As soon as he took it, Peter's back bent a little. Now he couldn't lift his hands at all and could only support them with his shoulders.

"Forget it, strongman." Gwen looked at the embarrassed Peter, took the takeout back, and strode into the house.

"You still need to practice more, Peter, or you might not even win against Mary Jane in arm wrestling."

Peter looked at Gwen, who was carrying the food effortlessly, raised his arms in a strongman pose, looked at his arms that barely moved, sighed, and slowly followed her.

When Peter returned to the living room, Yang Le and Gwen were already there, each enjoying their own portion.

Peter sat down, glanced at his portion, and then at Gwen's, and couldn't help but say.

"Gwen, has your appetite gotten too big?"

Gwen, who was enjoying the delicious burger, stiffened and quickly thought of a countermeasure.

"Maybe it's because of band training?" Yang Le said suddenly from the side.

"Yes! The band!" Gwen nodded firmly. "Peter, you don't know, band training is very exhausting."

"Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the Daily Bugle. I'm your old friend J. Jonah Jameson." J. Jonah Jameson sat behind the desk, speaking seriously.

"I heard that Jameson is a very mean boss. I can say for sure that working for him must be hard." Peter said with certainty.

'Indeed, no one should have more say in this matter than Peter Parker.' Yang Le ate his burger silently, watching Peter, who didn't know Jameson, complain about Jameson's meanness. This feeling was really subtle.

"Recently, a cult has appeared in New York. This cult specializes in deceiving teenagers into joining."

"Only targeting teenagers, such a despicable cult." Gwen frowned and said with disgust.

Yang Le nodded in agreement, and said hatefully: "I don't know who the leader of this organization is. If I knew, I would hang him on a lamppost."

"These organization members call themselves the Four-Armed Tyrant Fan Club."

"Pfft!"

"Cough cough cough!"

"Are you okay?" Peter asked, worried, looking at Yang Le and Gwen, who choked at the same time.

"I'm fine, I just choked on the cola."

"I'm fine too, I was just scared by Habby."

The two with subtle expressions looked at each other secretly, and then cleaned the dirty table silently at the same time.

Peter looked at the synchronized duo suspiciously, and at the same time became more certain that these two must already be together.

'The cult leader is actually myself? How come I don't know?' Yang Le felt that his brain was a little overwhelmed and could only patiently continue watching.

On the TV, Jameson's figure faded away, and a video began to play. In the video, a reporter was guiding the camera to film a group of teenagers wearing T-shirts printed with images of the Four-Armed Tyrant. They were gathered together as if they were discussing something. The reporter in the video also selected a boy to ask.

Reporter: "May I ask who you are and what are you doing here?"

Boy: "We are the Four-Armed Tyrant Club, and today is our club's first activity."

Reporter: "May I ask what the activity is?"

Boy: "It's an activity about wrestling, like WWE."

Reporter: "Wrestling? You guys?"

Boy: "That's right, we do more than just wrestling. We also do activities to strengthen our physique. This is also the purpose of our club, to learn from the powerful Four-Armed Tyrant."

Reporter: "Forgive me for speaking frankly, do you worship that guy? That four-armed monster?"

Boy: "FKY! How dare you say that about him! Guys, this guy insulted our idol!"

After a burst of angry scolding, the video ended, and then the screen returned to Jameson. As Yang Le expected, Jameson began to criticize the Four-Armed Tyrant and the club.

"This is simply brainwashing! That red-skinned, four-armed freak brainwashed these poor teenagers, causing them to attack their own compatriots. We should find that guy and kill him! He's simply..."

The TV suddenly went black, Jameson's roar stopped abruptly, and Peter and Gwen looked at Yang Le, who was holding the remote control.

"He's too noisy, isn't he?" Yang Le pretended to be nonchalant and put down the remote control. In fact, if you looked closely, you would find that he was covered in sweat.

'So this is what Spider-Man feels like.' Yang Le wiped the sweat from his forehead silently. Jameson's mouth was indeed well-deserved.

"By the way, Gwen, isn't your dad investigating the Four-Armed Tyrant? Is there any progress?"

Gwen, who was suddenly asked, first swallowed the burger in her mouth before saying: "There's no progress. My dad hasn't mentioned this matter much lately, but he seems to have found out a little about that terrorist."

"What terrorist?" Yang Le asked curiously.

"The one who attacked the jewelry store a month ago." Gwen crumpled the burger paper in her hand into a ball and threw it into the trash can. After thinking for a while, she continued.

"I overheard it. When my dad was on the phone with someone, he said that the terrorist seemed to have been bailed out by some gang. I didn't hear clearly what gang it was, but it seems to involve a lot. I've never seen my dad's face look so ugly."

"If it involves a lot, will Uncle George be in danger?" Yang Le was a little worried. After all, it was a terrorist organization in American comics, so it was impossible not to worry.

Gwen said angrily: "I also told him not to investigate, but he scolded me severely, and I can't do anything about it."
