#31 - Gwen's First Battle

Seeing the ninja blade moving against his will, the ninja realized he couldn't match the strength of the slender girl before him. He released his beloved sword, his hands moving to his waist, where a pair of kunai appeared.

Being at a disadvantage in terms of strength, the ninja decided to create distance and use throwing weapons to finish off his opponent. Fearing a counterattack, he chose to throw the kunai while simultaneously retreating.

The sound of air being cut filled the air as two kunai flew towards Gwen's head, one after the other. However, Gwen seemed to have eyes in the back of her head. Holding George with one arm, she moved as gracefully as a ballet dancer, dodging the crisscrossing kunai with a simple turn, and simultaneously throwing the ninja blade in her hand towards the ninja.

"Nani?! (What?)"

The scene before him left the ninja dumbfounded. Although he had guessed that the girl might dodge the attack, the fact that she could dodge so effortlessly while holding an adult man was something that even the big shots in the organization couldn't do. Yet, this little girl had done it.

In his shock, he didn't have time to dodge, not to mention the ninja blade was coming so fast. In a hurry, the ninja could only extend his right hand, using the metal bracer strapped to his arm to block it.

With a clang, sparks flew everywhere. The ninja under the mask couldn't help but gasp, feeling that his right hand was definitely fractured, but at least he had survived.

However, before the ninja could rejoice in his successful survival, Gwen, like a ghost, had already arrived in front of the ninja, catching the deflected ninja blade and stabbing down at the ninja.

The ninja blade pierced through the ninja's right hand, which he hadn't even lowered yet, and then pierced through his shoulder, pinning the ninja directly to the wall. Enduring the severe pain, the ninja still wanted to counterattack with his remaining left hand, but Gwen preemptively crushed his left hand.

"Ugh." The suppressed cry of pain made the ninja's voice sound strange. Gwen tore off the ninja's mask, revealing an Asian face.

"Who are you! Why did you attack my father!" Gwen was furious, like a lioness.

The ninja looked at Gwen without saying a word. Just as the furious Gwen was about to use torture to extract information, the ninja's mouth moved, and a drop of green liquid flowed from the corner of his mouth.

Then, in Gwen's horrified eyes, the light in the ninja's eyes faded, and the corpse turned into a pile of ashes and scattered on the floor.

The scene before her obviously exceeded Gwen's understanding. Faced with this situation, Gwen obviously couldn't ask the Parker family, who were ordinary people, for help, so there was only one answer left.

"Hurry, Happy, please answer the phone!" Gwen knelt beside George and dialed Yang Le's number, praying that the phone would be answered quickly.

"Hello? What's wrong, Gwen?" With the phone connected, Yang Le's voice sounded like heavenly music to Gwen at this moment.

"Help me, Happy," Gwen's weak voice was filled with sobs. After all, she was just a student. After the anger, facing her fallen father, Gwen, who had lost her backbone, seemed particularly fragile.

Gwen only felt a gust of wind, and a sharp voice sounded on the phone and behind her at the same time.

"What happened, Gwen?" Yang Le, transformed into Quicksilver, arrived at Gwen's house in less than a second. As soon as he arrived, he saw a mess and George lying on the ground unconscious, and Gwen sitting beside him helplessly.

"Please, Happy, save my dad, he's dying," Gwen hugged George and brought him to Yang Le. Yang Le also understood that now was obviously not the time to talk.

"Don't worry, Gwen, everything will be fine," Yang Le comforted Gwen, picked up Gwen and George, and his tail wrapped around the severed hand on the ground. In an instant, he arrived at the hospital.

Before George could understand, with a burst of rapid footsteps, the door of the ward was rudely opened, and Gwen rushed into the ward and saw the awakened George.

"Gwen?"

"Dad!"

The excited Gwen was about to pounce on George, but was stopped by Yang Le, who was grabbing her clothes from behind.

"Uncle George just woke up and is still very weak and can't stand your devastation."

Hearing Yang Le's advice, Gwen's emotions stabilized, and she gently came to George's bedside and asked with concern.

"I feel very good, how about you, Gwen? Were you injured? Did that ninja hurt you?"

"I'm fine, Dad," Gwen comforted the emotional George. "Happy saved me. He shot the ninja, and the ninja ran away after being shot."

"How is that possible?" George obviously didn't believe it. After all, the ninja cut off his right hand with a knife when he was aiming at him with a gun.

Speaking of his right hand, George couldn't help but glance at his right hand, and found that it was wrapped tightly.

"Happy found the best doctor to reattach your right hand," Gwen saw George looking at his right hand and took the opportunity to change the subject.

"You can still call me Uncle, Mr. sounds too distant."

"Okay, Uncle George," Yang Le smiled and accepted the suggestion. "Gwen and I are friends, I believe that if something happened to me, Gwen would spare no effort to help me."
