#40 - Control of the Omnitrix, and the disappearance of Peter

"Inhale... Exhale..." Yang Le, now in his Eon Kid form, took deep breaths to calm the excitement in his heart. "Alright, let's try this one more time."

Today was an extraordinary day. It had been a month since he and Gwen had investigated the Hand, and now it was October 15th, the day of Midtown High's homecoming dance. Gwen and her band were scheduled to perform at the dance tonight.

Indeed, the other Midtown band competing with them was no match. Anyone who had seen Mary Jane's performance would inevitably choose them.

But it wasn't just that. If it were only that, it wouldn't have excited Yang Le to the point of needing deep breaths to calm down. Although Gwen had happily picked him up and spun him around several times, it didn't bring Yang Le any joy.

Yang Le trembled as he retrieved the results from the decoder, a storage device that looked like an ordinary USB drive, containing the decoded Azmuth DNA.

"I didn't expect it to actually succeed." The Eon Kid's high-pitched voice revealed a hint of madness, making him look like a mad scientist from a children's cartoon.

Yang Le used his tail to curl up the storage device and scurried to the prepared hacking machine. He adjusted the data on the console and then transformed back into human form.

Yang Le detached the Omnitrix from his wrist, pulled a data cable from the hacking machine, connected it to the Omnitrix, and then placed the Omnitrix down, returning to the console.

Yang Le slowly picked up the storage device and solemnly said, "God bless, it must succeed."

After saying that, he inserted the storage device into the interface on the hacking machine and pressed the start button heavily.

"Beep beep beep!" Accompanied by the sound, the hacking machine started working, and streams of green photons flowed into the Omnitrix along the data cable.

As the hacking device ran, the Omnitrix began to deform. Yang Le watched from the side, sweating profusely, fearing that Azmuth had taken precautions and the Omnitrix would enter self-destruct mode, which would mean all his efforts would be in vain.

However, Azmuth, although extremely intelligent, could not be comprehensive and calculate everything. If Azmuth was truly omniscient, Ben Tennyson wouldn't have triggered so many bugs.

Finally, to Yang Le's surprise, the Omnitrix revealed its core, and the dial lit up with a green light.

"User detected: Azmuth, highest authority owner."

The Omnitrix's voice function sounded. It had been a long time since Yang Le had heard this voice after becoming familiar with the Omnitrix's operation. At this moment, this cold, mechanical sound sounded like celestial music to Yang Le.

"Change the highest authority owner to Yang Le."

Yang Le played the synthesized voice of Azmuth that he had prepared in advance. Although the Omnitrix only recognized genes, Yang Le had prepared the synthesized voice just in case, fearing that his efforts would be in vain.

Yang Le asked, "What's wrong with Peter?"
