Susan yelled at Reed, but Reed just shrugged.

"What?" Susan's surprised expression froze. "Now is not the time for jokes, Reed."

"I'm not joking." Reed took off his backpack and placed it on the ground, opening it and rummaging through the instruments inside.

"Look around," Reed said, standing up. "New York City has no shortage of cars. We can always find one that works, just like before."
