#564 - Guardians of the Galaxy
Unconsciously, Gamora's lips curled up, but the communication request that rang the next second brought her back to reality.
After returning to her expressionless state, Gamora connected the communication.
“Buzz, buzz, buzz.”
Possibly due to the explosion of a nearby spaceship, the communication device first entered a brief period of static, then connected.
“Hey! Hey! Hey!” A familiar voice rang out, and Gamora tried hard not to look at the annoying Earthling face on the communication display.
“This is the Guardians of the Galaxy, beautiful lady, it seems you need some help.”
“Fuck you, Quill.” Gamora expressionlessly made Quill recall his hometown language.
“Wow!” Star-Lord showed a surprised expression. “Is this how you treat your savior? Or do you not like the damsel-in-distress routine?”
“Honestly, you're not exactly a hero, Quill.” A thick voice came from off-screen, it was Drax.
“What?” Star-Lord seemed to have heard something unbelievable. “I'm not a hero? I've saved this universe several times! Who in this universe is more qualified to call themselves a hero than I am!”
“Bullshit, Quill.” This slightly shrill voice was Rocket's. “How many times? Should I use my fingers to tell you?”
“Save your fingers for fiddling with your little brother!” Star-Lord couldn't save face. “Remember to put away your claws and be careful not to leave scars!”
“I am… Groot.” A dull voice, a unique way of speaking, it must be Groot.
“Hey! Watch your mouth, chopstick man!”
“Well said, good boy! I said we should educate through entertainment, you always learn things beyond my expectations!”
“You'll spoil the kids like that! I should have thrown those discs away as space junk.”
Star-Lord argued red-faced with Rocket Raccoon off-screen, and finally said with a warning: “Groot, if you say that kind of thing again, I'll chop you into chopsticks and sell you to Chinese fast-food restaurants.”
“I think, are we getting off topic?” A gentle voice sounded, it was Mantis who had recently joined them. “Weren't we just discussing Gamora's matter?”
“Right, right, right!” Star-Lord came back to his senses. “It's all Rocket and Groot's fault for derailing the topic.”
Drax: “Actually, I derailed the topic.”
Rocket: “Don't dwell on it, Quill's brain can't remember that much.”
Groot: “I am Groot.”
Star-Lord felt that his blood pressure was about to exceed his height. If they continued to argue like this, it would never end, so it was better to get to the point quickly.
“Back to the topic.” Star-Lord coughed a few times, ignoring Rocket and the others beside him. “Why did you suddenly run away, Gamora? Aren't we a team?”
Faced with Star-Lord's question, Gamora was silent for a while before she spoke, “My father contacted me, he wants me to return to his side.”
“Your father? Thanos?” Star-Lord's eyes widened. “Why did he suddenly remember you?”
“I don't know.” Gamora looked serious. “But I suspect it has something to do with the Infinity Stones.”
“Then you shouldn't go back even more.” Star-Lord thought of everything he had heard about Thanos. “Who knows what inhumane things he will do, shouldn't we run far away at this time?”
“Is that what the great hero who saved the universe says?” Rocket interjected at the right moment.
“That would put us in a passive position.” Gamora spoke before Star-Lord could get angry, otherwise the latter would probably fall into the endless war of words like before.
“If I disobey my father's recall order, he will definitely send someone to capture me. His orders are always absolute, and no one can resist them.”
“Then beat back the people who come to catch you.” Star-Lord said as a matter of course. “We've solved many powerful enemies, we won't be afraid of them, you haven't forgotten that we defeated Ronan, who was under his command, right?”
“Ronan didn't even dare to fart in front of Thanos.” Gamora reminded him kindly. “If his subordinates can't catch me, he may come in person.”
“That's perfect.” Star-Lord leaned back and said. “My good brother Drax's greatsword has been itching for a fight for a long time!”
“Roar!” Drax roared in cooperation.
“We almost couldn't beat Ronan before.” Rocket kindly reminded him. “If it weren't for your clumsy dance, we would have been buried in the ground.”
“Since it works, then it's not a clumsy dance!” Star-Lord rationally ignored the first half of Rocket's words, and then impulsively replied to the second half of his words.
“In short.” Star-Lord brought the topic back to the right track again. “My point is, no matter what happens, we should be together, we are a whole, have you forgotten?”

“How did you guys find me?” Gamora asked suspiciously. She wasn't riding the small spaceship that the Benatar was carrying, but a new spaceship that had no contact with them, so logically speaking, Star-Lord and the others shouldn't be able to find her.
“Rocket installed a locator on this spaceship.” Star-Lord pointed to the raccoon person who was driving the Benatar behind him. “Because he took a fancy to the power system of this small spaceship and wanted to sneak in and learn from it while the guards were weak.”
“Hey!” Rocket called out in dissatisfaction. “How can a mechanic's business be called stealing? I call it learning, understand?”
“Yes, yes, yes, master of education through entertainment.” Star-Lord rolled his eyes at Rocket.
Gamora looked at the two speechlessly, she felt that she might not be able to escape from these people's clutches in her life.
Although she didn't hate it.
“Okay, where is our destination?” Star-Lord walked towards his seat. “Is your dad hiding on that godforsaken planet waiting for us to beat him up?”
Star-Lord's bold words left everyone present speechless, and Gamora sighed helplessly, then walked towards her seat with her long legs.
“He's on Earth now, which is also your old home.”
“This place is not bad.” Star-Lord smirked. “I can go back and take a look. Listen up, guys, we have two goals, one, to beat up Thanos, and two, to go to Earth for vacation, let's go!”
