#645 - The true form of the god Set

It's hard to estimate how powerful a well-known superhuman is, especially someone like Superman, who gets stronger every second; it's almost impossible to calculate the upper limit of his power.

And what about Martian Manhunter, also a powerhouse in the Justice League? Although Martians aren't as ridiculously strong as Kryptonians, their power is still incredibly impressive. The comics have shown Martian Manhunter's strength more than once.

Things like lifting planets or spaceships about the size of Earth are common occurrences, but Yang Le, who possesses such great power, is now feeling strained.

His feet braced firmly on the ground, Yang Le exerted all his strength to finally push back the invisible wall. Feeling his current actions, Yang Le felt like Sisyphus pushing a boulder.

But unlike Sisyphus, who can only push a stone forever, Yang Le doesn't have to keep doing this forever. After about five minutes, Yang Le suddenly felt the resistance in his hands disappear.

The sudden disappearance of the resistance caught Yang Le off guard. One moment he was exerting all his strength, so he couldn't stop and fell forward.

However, before Yang Le could use his flying ability, which he wasn't sure would work, he had already fallen onto the soft soil.

The feeling was strange. One moment Yang Le was still falling, but the next moment he was directly on the ground. The time in between seemed to have been deleted, a seamless transition from falling to landing.

Propping himself up, looking at the green grass sprouting between his fingers, Yang Le, now a Martian who doesn't need to breathe, instinctively took a breath. A scent mixed with the smell of soil and grass entered his nostrils.

Next, his eyes were greeted by a forest full of singing birds and fragrant flowers. All kinds of strange flowers and trees grew together without any regard for the environment, looking like a child's doodle where they deliberately clustered things together for aesthetics.

Yang Le recognized some of these flowers and plants, but not others. He didn't know if those exaggerated-looking flowers and plants were native to Earth. There was no suddenly appearing Tibetan fox to popularize this knowledge for him at this time.

Looking at the fairytale-like world before him, Yang Le knew he had arrived. As a transmigrator, he knew a thing or two about the famous characters in the comics.

Although Set hasn't appeared in recent years, his introduction was included in some of Namor's data, so Yang Le happened to know a little about him.

Don't underestimate Set's current obscurity. In the early comics, he was a formidable character that even the united frontline heroes of Earth in the main universe couldn't deal with. In the end, they could only use special methods to exile him to resolve the crisis.

And what Yang Le was about to use was one of the methods the heroes had used before, which was to strike at the heart of the enemy.

Strengthening his senses, Yang Le quickly smelled a faint, decaying, bloody scent in the air.

The smell was very unpleasant. The last time Yang Le smelled this was in the slum district of Universe 65B, when he was about to pick a random manhole cover to go home and happened to see a neat row of dead rats next to the trash can.

Disgusted, Yang Le even threw away the pizza in his hand and didn't eat dinner that night.

Unpleasant memories surged into his mind, and Yang Le quickly used his mental abilities to seal this memory, then followed the disgusting smell.

After passing through the forest, Yang Le found himself on the edge of a cliff, but the cliff wasn't high, only about 10 meters. The bloody smell was coming from the bottom of the cliff.

Yang Le slowly raised his head and scanned. Without even jumping off the cliff, he saw his target for this trip.

It was an incredibly ugly creature. It didn't have any skin on its body, and all its muscles were exposed to the sunlight. Not only that, but there wasn't a single good piece of flesh on the creature. Every part was decaying to varying degrees, and even the fascia was dripping with pus.

The blood-red eyeballs were connected to the optic nerves and hung in the eye sockets. As the great snake moved, the eyeballs kept swaying, making it hard not to doubt whether it could see clearly.

The only intact parts of the great snake were probably the snake teeth in its seven mouths, but even those snake teeth were covered with venom intertwined with blood.

The parts connecting the great snake's seven heads weren't normal bodies either. They looked more like a mass of rotten flesh like a snail's body. Bones, fascia, and flesh were all intertwined. It was so disgusting that it made people want to vomit up last year's dinner.

This incredibly disgusting, decaying great snake was Yang Le's target for this trip, the main body of the fallen Old God Set.

That's right, the giant snake wrapped around multiple universes is also Set, but that one is like his clone, or rather, a universe used to carry Set's main body.

The giant snake's body is a pocket universe, no different from a normal universe, except that the only creature in this universe is the Set main body in front of him.

Set's main body is much smaller than the giant snake outside, even more different than the difference between an ant and an elephant. Who would have thought that the main body of the majestic giant snake outside would be such an ugly thing?

Wriggling the rotten flesh that made up his body, Set rushed towards Yang Le's direction at an incredible speed. To be honest, if you get used to it, you might find the scene in front of you a little funny.

"Looks like a seven-headed sea burger." Yang Le gagged and quickly pressed the Omnitrix button on his chest.

A chain of genes spewed out from his chest, and then a white light filled the entire pocket universe.

The dazzling white light made Set writhe in pain. He didn't have eyelids and couldn't block the strong light at all, but that wasn't the point. The point was that ordinary light shouldn't have any effect on him, even the sun shouldn't be able to hurt him at all.

The white light dissipated, and a burly body dotted with stars replaced the green Martian Manhunter, standing in his place. Looking at the familiar trident crown, the alien hero in front of him was none other than the undisputed strongest in the little broken watch—Alien X.

Calm like the vast and boundless universe, Alien X quietly stared at the uneasy great snake with his emotionless eyes.

Unlike the frighteningly quiet outside, inside Alien X's body, Yang Le looked at the other two consciousnesses and asked.

"Okay, who came up with the special effects for that gene chain just now?"
