#651 - Poisoned Reed

Relying on his extremely strong extensibility, Reed's arm stretched out for at least several dozen meters, but his target wasn't the nearby Black Mamba, but rather the slightly further away King Cobra.

"Snap!"

The moment his palm touched the King Cobra's smooth, scale-covered body, Reed manipulated his five fingers to also begin extending, wrapping around the snake's tail several times to firmly secure himself.

Unexpectedly, this was exactly what Reed wanted. Feeling the immense force coming from his arm, Reed didn't resist, but continued to utilize his body's extreme flexibility and extensibility, allowing the King Cobra to swing his tail and, in turn, swing his arm.

However, the Black Mamba was caught between Reed and the King Cobra. Reed's suddenly flailing arm struck the Black Mamba's leg hard, sending the latter crashing to the ground, wailing in agony, likely unable to stand again.

Using the force against itself, Reed eliminated the Black Mamba who was stalemating Susan. The final teammate's mournful cry drew the King Cobra's attention. Rotating his slender neck, the King Cobra executed a 180-degree turn without turning his body.

Seeing the Black Mamba sprawled on the ground, the King Cobra realized he was now alone. Moreover, his enemies were all unscathed. The situation had shifted from a crisis to despair.

He had to find a way to escape. Without Set's response, there was no way he could defeat them all. Continuing like this would only be a futile struggle.

A gang could be rebuilt, leaders could be replaced, but if he were to fall here, there would be no chance for him to rise again.

Having made up his mind, the King Cobra rolled his eyes and quietly moved his tail, sending the snake staff, which had been coiled around it, to his side...

"Careful! He's going to use that staff again!"

Reed's hand was still wrapped around the King Cobra's tail, so the latter's small movements naturally didn't escape his notice. Sensing the King Cobra's actions, he immediately understood the other's intentions.

"Damn it!" The King Cobra hissed, his scarlet tongue constantly flicking, emitting a wave of stench. A drop of deep purple venom dripped from his fangs.

"Drip!"

"Ah!"

Reed sensed something was wrong when the King Cobra turned his head, but he was a step too slow to retract his hand. The drop of venom still landed on his hand.

"Ugh... ah..."

Reed endured the waves of pain that arose after being沾到ed by the venom, using his ability to tie his hand into several knots to prevent the venom from invading more organs via his right hand.

He didn't know if this would work, but it was all he could do for now. The excruciating pain eroded his rationality. Now, Reed could only pray that Tandy and Tyrone would notice him quickly.

Not letting Reed wait too long, Tandy and Tyrone didn't fail. After hearing Reed's scream, Tyrone brought Tandy through space to Reed's side.

Tandy thrust the energy dagger, which she had prepared long ago, into Reed's arm. The blade entered Reed's arm without any resistance, but no blood flowed out.

After entering Reed's body, the blade began to melt at a visible rate and then burrowed into Reed's body. Then, a distraught Susan rushed over.

"How is he?" Susan asked Tandy. Although her heart was burning with anxiety, she remained calm. Looking at the beads of sweat dripping from Reed's forehead, she felt her heart was about to break.

"I've injected Mr. Reed with my ability, which should make him better," Tandy said, exhaling a long breath. "Unfortunately, I can't inject too much energy into him at once. If the poison is too strong, I might have to consider amputation."

Her heart sank. Susan didn't respond to this cruel statement. She turned her head to look at Reed again, and made up her mind. If the latter hesitated, she would make the decision for him, even if Reed would hate her for the rest of his life.

"It's okay, Susan," Reed said, panting heavily, gripping Susan's hand on his shoulder with his good left hand. "Use your force field, or Tandy's dagger, to cut off my hand, and then have Johnny cauterize the wound to stop the bleeding. Let's survive first and think about the future later."

Losing a hand was not unacceptable to Reed. Even a fool could tell which was more important, life or a hand.

"Let me try first," Tandy interrupted Reed. "I can still use my ability for a while. Let me try to force the venom out. Don't worry, as long as I keep using my ability, Mr. Reed's poison won't worsen."

Upon hearing this, Susan quickly gave up her position so that Tandy could treat Reed.

"Thank you, Tandy," Susan thanked Tandy, but the latter had already wholeheartedly entered the treatment and couldn't respond to her gratitude.

Because of this, the King Cobra also saw the appearance of the person. It was the Thing, Ben. The tragic state of his friend ignited his anger, allowing Ben's strength to reach another level.

"You're also a snake, right?" Ben asked in a deep voice, his two stone eyebrows raised. "I'm going to break your limbs now, so we can create the corresponding serum."

"Maybe," the King Cobra hissed. "But that depends on whether you can do it!"

"Boom boom boom!"

Dozens of fireballs rained down from the sky. This indiscriminate attack engulfed both Ben and the King Cobra. The increased power of the fireballs caused the King Cobra to writhe in pain, while Ben's stone body completely ignored the heat.

"Don't forget about me, you reptile!" Johnny circled around the two wrestling figures. "Watch your cane, I might melt it in the next second!"
