#66 - Raid

It was night, and Yang Le and Gwen were standing outside an abandoned building, unnoticed by anyone.

Gwen had Snowball cover her entire body, activating its optical camouflage function.

Yang Le also transformed into an invisible alien, a Merlinisapien, whom Ben called a Chameleon. His ability was simple, just like his nickname suggested: he could quickly change his color to match his surroundings, achieving invisibility.

He was also exceptionally agile and swift, with a retractable stinger hidden in his tail, making him a master of infiltration and assassination—a natural-born assassin.

Using their invisibility, the two stealthily entered the abandoned building and, following the route given by Norman, headed towards the underground laboratory.

They were cautious, but they didn't encounter anyone along the way. Finally, they arrived at the laboratory door.

Gwen took out the access card she got from Norman and opened the laboratory door. As expected, it was empty.

In the rewind, Yang Le and Gwen learned that Cindy had been monitoring them and that she knew about Yang Le and the Omnitrix, showing a clear interest.

"That's right, I'm worried about you, Harby," Gwen said, stopping. Her watery eyes were full of concern, like a lake under the moonlight.

"I'm scared, scared that something like what happened to Peter will happen again, especially to you."

"Guess what? I'm actually a little happy," Yang Le said cheerfully.

"Harby!" Gwen's tone became stern, contrasting sharply with Yang Le's beaming face.

"Have you forgotten about the port incident? You're not a god, you can get hurt, even die."

When she said the word 'die,' Gwen's voice trembled slightly, and her lips turned pale from being bitten.

"I remember, Gwen," Yang Le said, abandoning his playful attitude and looking at Gwen seriously.

"Because I remember, I won't be careless again. No one can defeat me as I am now."

After that failure, Yang Le adjusted the Omnitrix. He set up an emergency transformation, keeping the Omnitrix's emergency transformation function but adding a choice—Atomix.

Yang Le was also amused by Gwen, strode out, and walked towards the restaurant.

The restaurant was not far from the apartment, about a five- or six-minute walk.

Just as the attacker thought he had succeeded, a flash of white light appeared. He felt that the person he was holding down had changed, from small to strong, and he couldn't control him.

"Ha!" Yang Le, transformed into Diamondhead, controlled the spikes on his back, causing them to grow rapidly. The sharp crystal spears forced the attacker back.
