Prologue
3rd POV.
"Just stop, please! " she snapped pretty hard at him, her blonde, box-braided hair was drenched on the influence of the mysterious rumbling clouds, striking down rains onto the creatures below.
She did not know she could do that, betraying him was not on her bucket list. Why would he come back, knowing the consequences? Why didn't he just go afar? She was in a thwart moment.
"I don't love you. I... I despise you!" Her voice was saying literally opposite of her mind. Her soul was calling out to him, but she just couldn't allow it. She wanted him to go away.
"You don't mean it. You don't mean any of this, right?" He asked brittlely. He knew she was lying. Why was she venting out her anger on him, when she should be blaming the bastard king that disrupted their love? He knew she must have betrayed their love for a reason. But would she be so brave to voice them out?
"The... I." She sighs between her stutter, as tears threatened to roll down her cheek, but even as she fought her weakness strongly, a sprinkle of tears can still be seen on the surface of her inviting blue eyes.
She knew she betrayed him, but it wasn't her fault. She had reasons. "See." Her voice is just a whisper.
She pointed out, with her index finger to a radiating light in the cloudy sky, whose presence brightens up the dreadful night.
"The moon is resting on the sea already, and you know the consequences, the rules!" She was on the brink of frustration. She sounded worried.
"... And which is a brutal punishment between leaving you with that bastard..." He trails off on looking at a man, a bit afar from them as he panics, "or having to face the damn mate-vows punishment?" He asked persuasively and rhetorically, knowing no answers can justify his question. He was not going to back off, not now. He has always wanted her, but not for selfish reasons.
"My love! "A nice looking man called out as he walked towards them, earning an awful glance from them. His hair, fixed royally, perfectly bringing out the fair colour of his tanned skin.
"Follow my commander, Allen Richard. He shall escort you to our chambers, safely." He spoke masculinely. His voice was not the same to her ears as before. His voice are like daggers piercing through her already shattered-heart as they separate her from her own chosen beloved.
Ever since he forced his way into becoming the king of all the continents of the bending earth, his way's changed. He became another being that brought forth an unbalance into their world. Frederick Harlow, a beast in human form.
The king's commander came into view as he bows.
"My king, My queen. "He respectfully bows for his highnesses, navigating his hands to a path.
"Frederick, I'm your mate now, and I belong to you. Please keep your promise." She says. Her heart felt broken, when those words escaped her mouth. She was right, her real mate who is standing opposite them in confusion must have loath her. She turns back to Allen, who took her along with him to a direction, likely leading to the chambers.
She couldn't dare to look at her own beloved, she was too ashamed to look him in the eye.
Once she's next to Allen, he looks over to her, accessing her features to see that she's ready. He shoves his hands into the air, yielding a cracking sound that rumbles the ground, and earth beneath them detach from the rest. He raises his hands, causing the fragmented rock they are on hovers upwards, and with a sweep of his hands to the back, the rock slides in the path he wants.
"Take him! "Frederick roars with authority as soon as Allen and his mate are now entirely out of their sight. Two hefty guards, out of the eight men surrounding their king- Frederick Harlow and the beloved, rushed out of their embedding formation to hold onto him.
He was not the type to surrender, especially not after taking his love from him. He'll fight till he's on the brink of death. He was dauntless.
With swiftness, he was carrying a cart already which he hurled at a barrel bomb across the alley behind them, causing a colossal explosion to take place, whose effect caused the tower on the left southern side to crumble straight down to the poles as it fell on the guards.
"Neither you, nor your men would stop me! " He boisterously spat, anger and hatred evidently showed in his tone. In a flash, he was in front of the bastard that caused all his troubles, and in a canter, he's carrying Frederick already using his air bender powers. Air benders are mostly known for their speed and sometimes strength; depending on their generations.
"What have you done? Why did she mate you? Don't you respect avatar rules anymore? Do you know the thousands of benders you have destroyed. My families were part of them and you sent everyone away to humans earth just because of powers. You are a monster!" The beloved yelled.
"Yes, I am and so are you. Don't worry. You will soon meet yours and you shall be as barbaric as me. Yours just won't last as humans will kill all of you faster." Frederick voice breaks as the mate grip tightened. "Oh, you won't kill me. You're lucky, the plan didn't put me in the position to kill all of you, myself!"
"What plan?!" Massive blows of winds occupies the room as they tear apart walls, he has been pushed to the extreme end of the wall and he's now forced to blow a gasket. He wanted to shred the king into pieces since he was too desperate, but something stopped him, guess he wasn't the only powerful man in the room.
"Oh! What's wrong?" Frederick asked gratingly as he recomposed himself from the previous grip he's earned. Teasing and smirking at the weak man in front of him, who was struggling to hold onto the broken wall beside him, and stand on his feet. "You know... My wife made me promise not to kill you. How about we banish you! " He maliciously spoke as he full faced the reddened shot eye of the man, he has just blood-bended.
"Dolores inferni circumdederunt, "Ares"
Da electi regis imperium posset
Hanc discussis squalentibus
Atque ingratus homini de terra.
Periculum esse debet, sicut ille est destrui. "
("I call upon you, our ancestors, 'Ares'.
Grant your chosen king, the strength, the power.
Banish this filthy and ingrate from our land.
As he is a threat that must be destroyed.")
A white sparks of electricity flows through his veins, making his body resplendent in response, and his deep blue oceanic eye darkens more with tons of lightning passing through them. The sky roars, thunders lucidly mumbles through the clouds, every benders that's still in their world could feel the blazing rage of their king's anger.
"Nos eiciant vos".
(We banish you.)
Frederick voice was not his, they hold pile of voices. His darkness-god voice, and they amplify with authority by each second passed.
"Avatar rules has no effect anymore. Ares reigns now and you shall inherit part of the gift his unbalance brings, King Damon." Frederick said and he meant all he's said. With time, Damon, the king of the air benders- the mate shall find the truth. He shall feed from the dark powers. Its written.
A twinkling white admiral with screeching sound devours the beloved as he scream shrilly. His heart beats incredibly fast, not because of the unbearable pain he was passing through, but because of his lost love, and mate. Even though they share no mate vows, they were still mate.
Hatred and rancor was all he felt as they pierce, and shred his heart malevolently. Soon, all fades out...
