You're safe with me
"Ahh!!!" I yell.
A water with dark strings on it. Isn't that the type of strings produced by Lucas powers when he was being controlled. Oh, no! The Harlow's!
Can today get any...fucking...more worst?!!

Liliana Roslyn's POV.
Have you ever been in a situation that you'll be so frightened, not because of someone terrifying wants to kill you but because of anticipation. An anticipation of what's going to happen.
Ahhhh!!!!! What's going to happen if I fall. The bender or Harlow's that picks me up with a dark string water is taking me to the water of the ocean- the beach.
Gravity is taking over me, I'm falling with the greatest speed downwards. I'm struggling, yelling, and crying without tears. My stomach has been swirled upside down and so is my brain. I'm not me anymore. All I can think is...if I fall, what's going to happen? The same anticipation.
I'm dead!!
During the time the Harlow's picks me up, I see king Adrian being occupied by another Harlow's. Lucas stands from Jasmine's side to help but king Adrian usher him to go save Jasmine. That is, he needs to heal her magically as he used to, so Lucas takes off with Jasmine inside. King Adrian's still fighting the other Harlow's which means, I can't be saved as for now.
I'm on my own and I think I'm going to die.
Now the dark water, surrounding and tucking my abdomen is taking me near the ocean. No, fucking-ly scratch that. I'm near the ocean. Oh, my...through my inaccurate and upsidedown vision, it's like the water is going to drown me.
Ah!!!! Suddenly, the bender that's taking me shows himself clearly. Now his arms are tucking my body firmly, at least I think he's not going to let me go thus falling into this large body of water. The water seems pale blue just like the blue sky.
Adrenaline is still kicking in, making me hit his upper body. When he deliberately releases me a bit, I yell again and now, I'm holding him tightly. Such a tease! And tense moment!
Through a blurry peripheral vision of mine, I see a frame flying higher above us. Isn't...that king Adrian? Oh, yes! It's him.
He makes a roll on air, making a cylindrical air whose sharpened edges runs down the back of the Harlow's.
As soon as he's wounded, and in the freaking process, releasing me from his hold, I release an ear-piercing shrill of my own but I'm caught by a small flat, curvy body of water that encrypt my body firmly. I release a heaved breath, my eyes' unstable, making me lay down on the water as my vision has been disturbed.
Why the hell will they pick me? I don't even know them nor did I offend any Harlow's. I think it's those prisoners- Harlow's- that the commander and king Adrian were talking about during the meeting.
King Adrian comes closer to me, asking. "Are you alright?" He's concerned. I nod terrifyingly.
Suddenly, he twirls to the other side, his back facing me and bends water from the one carrying me. Using it to stop the icy prickle that's coming his way. He manages to stop it but he's a little late because a shred of it pierce into him.
I hear his hurtful grunt. Oh, my...I can't believe I care so much for him because now I feel like I'm the one hurt.
He withdraw the shard of ice and drops it. I can see his blood evaporating into the water. Oh, my...
I notice his body tenses and the same hazel glow covers his body, releasing an electric surge of energies that makes prick on his cloth. His powers are present. His energies are here, ready to drain and kill.
King Adrian doesn't stop nor is affected as the Harlow's is now hitting him with continuous ice and water. He doesn't stop. He's angry! And when he's angry, nothing good comes out except death. I think he's going to kill them too as he's killed Mrs. Rogue.
Two attacks, one day. What the heck! The same thing happened yesterday at the meeting, two bad occurrence on a day- Lucas going frenzied and the two human death, in which one is my friend...Elena. How much I wish to know her more.
While I'm busying looking at the far distance where king Adrian is beating the hell out of the Harlow's, a gusty sound of water makes me twitch my head to the other direction. I panic, another Harlow's.
He's not coming near me but I can see the dark tint on his eyes and he's casting a...spell if I'm not mistaken.
Just as a glowing start, another sound of ice slicing makes me flare my eyes uncontrollably. The Harlow's now lifeless body drop into the ocean and Lucas' beaming blue eyes are on me, searching for any injuries.
When he sees none, he picks me up and take me to the edge where I now see king Adrian. His left hand clasping the neck of the Harlow's. The canoes I used to see almost every time I check the ocean's beauty have drowned.
He ask, authoritatively. "Why did you attack us and how did you escape cell?!" He growls.
The Harlow's manages to force out a laugh but ends up couching with blackish blood splitting out. Ew!
Before anymore movement, the Harlow's turns into ashes after a smoke leaves his body, sucking every fibre of nerves and life out of him, all happening in a matter of seconds.
Commander Lorenzo comes into my view as king Adrian angrily ask. "Why the hell would you do that?
"Because he's making a spell to break free." Commander Lorenzo answers nonchalantly.
I look back at Lucas, his body's stained with blood and so is king Adrian's body. I can't take this.
King Adrian rushes over to me. "I know this is too much to handle but we're in an upcoming war that's gonna take even months. Just tell me you're okay. Please." His intense, sweet hazel eyes are searching. Those alluring lips are asking me. They are all in concern for my welfare. How can I hate him?
My body fails what I wanted to say. So I force out at least something.
"I think I'm going to faint."
*****
An undescribable, yet familiar, pleasurable and soothing thick substance is hung onto my throat, making it a bit hard to speak. I'm currently half-conscious. I feel myself on a silkily soft bed with pillows supporting my sides.
I groan to remove the itching sensation the thick liquid is causing.
I feel the intensity and cooing of king Adrian near me before his hands brings my head halfway up. He brings a cup near my mouth and I drink some water from it.
"That's my blood. It's half-healed you already. How are you feeling now?" He ask.
I can't speak much but I manage to say in a whispering tone. "You are not a monster but a survival." I feel him stiff beside me. "If you hadn't take the choice of killing Mrs. Rogue and those Harlow's they would have kill us. You take the right step."
"Yet, the darkness resides in me." King Adrian says, near my hair. I feel his hands brushing past my strands soothingly.
"Yet, the darkness resides in it's source." I correct. "It's only playing with your mind and soul. You're not evil and I'll help you not to become one. You're my saviour, Adrian." I finish without utilizing his title. For some reason, it doesn't bother him. I think, I hear him release a relieving gasp as I say his real name.
"And you'll be my saviour someday, Liliana. When you're your real self. I miss you." He coos.
"I'll help you fight the darkness." I say before drifting off into another peaceful slumber. But not without hearing his last fading words.
"You're safe with me, Ana. My light."

Daybreak's light and the company it brings, including the chirping of birds reaches my awakening ears and brain.
As my eyes open, I stretch forth my hands, hearing a slight crunch. I groan.
At the window sill that leads to the balcony is the sexy masculine figure of king Adrian, looking straight ahead. A glass of cup is in his hands and he sips some. He's wearing a casual purple polo shirt with a long grey trouser. So simple yet he looks ready to eat and gulp down. Seductively stunning in the most delirious manner.
"What does it taste like?" I ask him about the tainted he's drinking, while still on the bed. We've grown a type of relationship where I'm not so afraid of me. Scratch that. I'm not afraid of him. Not a bit. And I don't know why. Perhaps his blood's job.
"A delicious medicinal soup." He answers curtly. Still staring straight ahead.
"And what does it feel like?" I continue questioningly.
"Good. Nice." He halt briefly. "Healing every part of the fibres in my body." He answers.
I stand and walk near him, standing beside him. I notice that I'm wearing a long night dress with my undergarments still on but I'm sure he didn't change me. For some unknown reason, I'm sure.
"Lucas gave you the book?" He ask, glancing at me for a brief moment. I nod in confirmation.
He adds. "No wonder you said those things."
Yeah, I kind of remember some things that I said earlier. Being not fully recovered, I guess I said the real fact. The real me said those words not this one that doesn't want to give benders a chance. And I remember the part of me wanting to help him very vividly.
Silence.
Awkward silence.
Seconds' are ticking past, turning into minutes. Still silence.
Thank goodness, king Adrian breaks it. "During your absence at the meeting, we came to a conclusion that we'll start the war from North American. Oliver Jace's continent." He looks at me this time for a longer moment, probably checking out my reaction before facing straight-wards. That stupid commander, I hate him so much. "As my emit, you need to be there." He finishes.
Uh?! "Why?" That's all I ask. I can't even live seeing three benders die yesterday not to now talk of seeing many Harlow's/benders die. I might go into coma.
"You're my life replenisher. I'll need to feed." Nope. Now I've heard enough. We seriously aren't talking about feeding section here! He can't feed from me. The pain!! Nooo!!
I think I'm starting to fidget, shaking uncontrollably. "Ana," he holds my hands firmly with his strong and yet soft ones. "I'll never feed from you without your consent."
"What if I never give you my consent?" I ask. His eyes shows a painful expression but it's quickly sucked away.
"Then," he pause. "I'll never feed from you." He'll feel weak if he doesn't feed from me. I learned that from the academy. I don't know if it's true, but if a bender doesn't feed from their emit, they'll be weak even if they feed from other sources. Once they have an emit. They must feed from them.
He's sacrificing for me. Perhaps?
The technical door opens and reveals a bender...um...what's his name? Yep. I remember his name. It's Fulgencio. His name should have been Flugencio so I could name him. Flu.
It'll sound nice. Hello, Flu
Noticing king Adrian fight a smirk is wondrous as I can tell he's in my head again. I scowl at him physically but only making him end up coughing out the laugh he's trying to subside. He looks so handsome when he's not worrying about being a king or using his monstrous beings. The beings for human death.
Fulgencio says. "My king. Some commanders are leaving for their territory and will like see you." Thank goodness, he didn't say that foreign language benders seem to understand.
Then, he's gone when king Adrian dismisses him. King Adrian's eyes dart to me who's still looking back at him.
King Adrian breaks us from our trance eye contact that's taking too long and says. "Your food's over there. Still warm." He takes his cup from the mid-air he placed it when he take my hands. "And make sure you take your medicine, so you can feel good for the traveling. They're in the fridge. Take only one carton of it and make sure you don't take that one carton once. Drink it for the whole day until I come back at night.". He then says firmly, rather warningly. "Don't drink the medicine all at once."
Before he goes out, I say genuinely. "Thanks."
He smirk and say. "Don't thank me." What?!
I almost furrow my eyebrow at him when he add. "Because your training starts tomorrow. You need to be fit for fighting by the time we travel."
Seriously?! No!
"Don't drink the medicine at once." He warns again. Why is he being adamant on the medicine? Will I die if I take it all at once? Ugh! I even hate medicine before so he shouldn't worry.
Since I'm all alone in this luxurious, money-is-speaking room, I decide to check the book which is now on the bedside table. King Adrian must have laid it there.
After scrolling through chapters, one caught my eyes. The dark gifts.
"Hmm." I hum and use the pencil in the pencil box- to keep the page open in case I forget the page's number- which resting on the small wooden office table of king Adrian that's on the other room across from the bedroom.
"When I'm through with bathing and eating, I'll read it." I murmur and dash to the luxurious bathroom.
