Family time
[FLASHBACK...before the day of the funeral]
I wake up in a fit of a headache. Groaning in pain, I see the white roof above me and my surrounding smelling like medicine.
Where am I? What's happening to me?
"Good evening, love." I see Aaron appearing like a blotch of colors. I shake my head trying to clear out my vision. I didn't have my spectacles too. Aaron helps me wear my spectacles as I tell him my head hurts a lot.
"You hut your head real hard, Ravine. Nothing to worry though, you're just a little unstable." He says. Unstable? Does that mean I almost lost my memories?
He nods at me, lips tight in a smile. Oh boy...
"Your doctor is a specialist. He's treated you... again." As he says, the said doctor walks in.
"What happened... to Gabriella..." my voice was as meek as a swan.
"We took care of her. Tomorrow will be their... funeral." He says. I see sadness linger in his eyes.
Soon, we were shifted to his mansion as I was hugged tightly by Charlie.
"Bitch, I was scared!"
"Even more than me?"
"Of course not..." my lips chuckle as I rest my chin on his shoulder. Gerroto rubs my back as well as everyone else. They say a million sweet words which made me feel home.
"It's good to be home..." I say to myself.
Aaron and I were in our bedroom upstairs. I was sleeping on his chest, my head was shaved a little in the area and stitched to place by the doctor. It hurt, it hurt too bad.
But the induced anasthesia was messing with me. It wasn't even 10 in the night, maybe I should blame the sweet words of Aaron and him slowly rubbing my stomach. I was beginning to fall asleep.
And the last words I hear from my boyfriend were these, "I will hire yakuzas from now to deal with the mess. There are no better mercenaries than yakuzas." He says with the softest of voices. My eyes were already half close, but my heart smiles fully.
"Thank you... Thank you..." I pray the God and to him, thanking him for taking that decision.
I would never allow him to do the dirty work, ever again.
[FLASHBACK ENDS...]
Aaron's family who arrived to New York for their family members' funeral stayed at Aaron's mansion. I was surprised of how big the mansion can be, how the mansion can house so many people at once.
The funeral was in the morning, everyone went back home in expensive, luxurious cars by afternoon.
There was no remorse.
It seemed like everyone hated the three who betrayed the family of Skiez. Betrayal is never accepted, more so between blood tied bonds.
At the moment, I was conversing with Aaron's mom and Elizabeth's mom. They were good talkers and I was a good listener. Ignoring the older adults telling us not to drink wine in front of the kids, we just ignore them and have our little lady talk.
"Say what, let's go shopping this evening! I heard malls in this city are extravagant!" Says Mrs. Skiez as I chuckle loudly.
"Of course! I'll show you around too, I'd you'd like!" I encourage them. I would do anything for a distraction right now.
As planned, most of us ladies go for shopping while the men stayed at home.
Who knew boys could have so much fun together?
When we came back home, the backyard was turned into a baseball field. There was a net drawn to protect the glass windows and French windows. Aaron was bowling at the moment, his cousin Gray was the batsman. Three pitchers for the field quickly run on their turns, Aaron blows the stump when the ball was in his hands.
I don't know the game rules, but they begin cheering Aaron's name.
"Boys~ The ladies are here!" As soon as Elizabeth's elder sister says, the men stop their game at once.
It was flashy with lights of all sorts. Boys are really creative.
Under the beautiful moonlight as I stood under a tree, Aaron approaches me while removing his gloves and sweating profusely.
"Hi, love." He calls with affection.
"Hi to you too." Saying back, I begin to wipe his sweat with my sweater paws as much as possible.
"Let's have a campfire, now that everyone's here." Giving the idea, I slowly begin to lean inside his magnetic touch.
"Of course." He agrees, directing my arms towards his neck as I giggle and attach our lips for a kiss. We share a deep kiss, something we will be made fun of later, but nonetheless it was under the moon again.
Something about the moon is so mysterious for us. Our relationship.
I don't know why, but every time I stare at the moon, I'm reminded of my beautiful boyfriend.
The long stress of catching his betraying family members had ended, and that gave rise to the feeling of relaxation. Our kiss was different now.
I could feel it in my bones.
It was as if...
Aaron was back.
The old Aaron was back in my arms.
Out of the blue, waterworks flow out of my eyes. I couldn't figure out why. Maybe I was happy for him, he could finally find himself back.
This time, I won't let him become a bad guy.
"Why are you crying!?" He asks over a chuckle, gently wiping my tears away for me.
"Do you need my friend down here to cheer you up?" Shamelessly, unexpectedly, he takes my hand and makes me palm his dick over the trousers he wore. I click my tongue and retract my hand, I would be too embarrassed if someone saw us like that, it was his family members and not just some random public.
If it was a random group of people... it would have been a different case.
It was only 7 in the evening, the campfire will start at 9.
In the meantime, I and Aaron head back to our rooms to wash the sweat and grime off our bodies.
It was beginning to heat up.
The climate and also our bedroom.
