Crime unsolved
"Wake up. Good morning." I hear the man's gentle voice in my ear. He was attempting to wake me up as I smile and spread my arms. His bare body hugs my naked one as he chuckles.
"Had a good sleep?" He asks, I nod. How can I not sleep happily in my crush's arms?
"We will go back to your house after having breakfast outside. Sounds cool?"
"Cool. I want pancakes. I crave pancakes." I say as he giggles.
"With bananas and truffle sauce. You always ask for that."
A while later, our sleepy bodies at 9 in the morning reached a small cafe which smelt good. We sat outside while I was shivering in the cold.
"Aaron I'm cold—"
"I told you to bring your jacket. Sometimes you gotta trust a man's instinct you know?" He cuts me off and lectures me as I bow my head down out of playful courtesy.
"Thank you, O'lord O'mighty." He shakes his head with a smile. The order of my pancakes and his heavy burger and fries with chicken popcorn arrives. I almost judge his appetite and choice of food first thing in the morning. Nonetheless, we begin to eat as the sun was shining brighter and brighter as the clouds began clearing up.
We got back into the car and I started driving back home. It was only a half an hour journey, yet the security will question a 19 year old driving. We show our gate passes to the security as he already recognises us. We are from this colony, and the reason why security was increased too.
Tired from the car ride, I push myself into the couch to get some sleep. For some reason, my emotional imbalance is making me feel way too exhausted. Aaron seemed quite fine, but I on the other hand felt like an old lady already.
Removing my spectacles, I place it down and wait for slumber to embrace me.
The next thing I knew, I woke up in the bed with a manky arm wrapped around me. As I look up, I see Aaron's face and he too was sleeping. We woke up at around 1 pm to eat our lunch.
It was a simply sandwich. None of us were in the mood to eat.
I stare at the gun that he kept on the counter. There will be no time to run to my bedroom and fetch the gun was his logic. It was reasonable, but I must hide it.
Taking the gun and letting my intrusive thoughts win, I stuff the metal in my pants, against my stomach.
I shudder, "Hmm? What happened?" He just then turns around and I chuckle at myself.
"The metal is so cold against my skin." He then notices the metal was gone and I grew a third boob in my loose tee.
"Oh, haha!" He chuckles with me as he sits down on the tall seat. We have a ham sandwich, with a few vegetables. I devoured the entire tower of PBJ too, I was way hungry.
"Damn. I love your appetite." He says as I smile while chewing.
Suddenly, there was a glass cracking sound heard from my room.
At once, we rush towards the room as I keep the gun hidden within my clothes.
Turns out it was a rock thrown through my window.
"That bastard." Muttering, Aaron opens the window swiftly while stomping on the glass shreds on the ground. Thank god he wore the house slippers I gave him.
"Hey! Come out and fight, fucker! Let's see what you got, loser fucking asshole!" Aaron screams as I come to realise.
"What the hell!" Running towards him, I stomp on the shards of glass on my bare feet. I felt the pierce, but what's more prioritized is getting the stupid man not to compete with a literal psychopath. He's crazy!
"Aaron, stop it!"
"Come on out, fucker! Let's fucking fight—" the whole neighborhood was alerted now. We could see a little shadow that suddenly disappeared behind a tree. John is a threat not just to us but for this whole neighborhood.
He could attack anyone to seek shelter. I just hope people are vigilant of this vigilante.
"Aaron, come back inside! Stop it!" I hiss at him like a snake. He doesn't even budge until I start pounding my fists on his back.
"Ow, what!?" He screams.
"I said stop getting us into more trouble dammit!"
