Arrested
[One week later]
The court has declared Aaron as a victim and not the culprit of this case. Aaron murdered a psychopath and used the procedures of self defense. The day was saved by the lawyer.
When the scene concludes in front of their eyes, Ravine breaks down in Aaron's arms at once. She has been through so much. Not just from one person but from any people as well. It almost made her feel like she was a walking taboo in mankind.
She swallowed her tears while hissing.
"Argh! No more crying. I'm so fucking tired of crying all the time." She wipes her tears aggressively. Shocked by her behavior, the young man gathers a set of tissues for her, patting her back. They were inside her car as she was to drive them home after the long day.
"Calm down, please. I can't see anyone like this." Aaron says, expanding the term "you" to "anyone", because he doesn't want to give her ideas.
"I'm fine. I'm fine. I want to talk to Charlie. Do you... wanna go home and rest a bit?" Asks Ravine as Aaron touches his neck. She starts the engine and begins driving to her house. They reach her mansion as Aaron slowly sits on the bed beside her and reveals.
"Uh well. My land owner told me to evacuate as soon as possible since I don't live there for the time being. I've been thinking it over—"
"Live with me." Ravine blurts out. Aaron blinks at her, releasing a sigh.
"I don't think that's possible—" She cuts him off again.
"Why not? Just come and live with me." Says Ravine to which Aaron shakes his head, chuckling.
"I won't accept that. I'm already a burden on your budget and fuel—"
"Aaron, I don't care! I want a person beside me all the time!" The surge of emotions made Ravine lose her cool and break all her safety barriers.
"Okay..." he quietly agrees but he can measure how fast his heart was beating inside his chest. The way she leans on him makes him feel like a man. He was blessed with a good sense of intuition and on top of that, a good godly body to make girls simp on him.
God forgot and forgave Aaron Skiez for only one thing: some intelligence.
He was a thick skull who couldn't understand what the next person was feeling. He could break down the sentences and trusts everyone like a newborn chick.
Ravine heaves a heavy sigh and drops dead on the bed. Her legs were below as Aaron rethinks his thoughts. He wanted to lay atop of her, get his head rubbed like a good big puppy and finally get some rest.
After everything that's happened the past week, Ravine was having severe visions in her nightmares. She couldn't stop them, she woke up several times and kept Aaron up all night.
"Hey, hey! Look at me!" Aaron says to her, calming her down the best he could.
"Shit!" Dialing the paramedics was the only option left to him. The paramedics arrive rather quickly, at around 15 minutes after calling.
They take Ravine to the hospital as she laid unconscious. Aaron was left behind as he wasn't allowed to go after them. Clicking his tongue, his mind running out on all bizarre ideas, he collects his bike keys and chases the ambulance as best as he could.
A few hours pass by and it was already morning. The restless young man halted outside the hospital room runs towards the doctor who comes out.
"Hello, doctor. I am her relative who happened to stay with her." He lies effectively to know more confidential information on Ravine's condition.
"Dear sir, she is fine. She doesn't have any seizures nor does she have a history of epilepsy." Aaron looks at the report card that's been passed on.
"I am her family doctor from England." No wonder he sounded so English to Aaron. He nods slowly, but why does she have a family doctor?
Didn't she say her family was just like any normal American-British families?
"Do not worry, sonny. She must have endured a lot of mental trauma. I will recommend you a psychiatric therapy institute. Talk to them and assign her a therapist. I suggest in-house sessions are better. But, whatever the therapist may say." Says the doctor.
"Thank you doctor. I'll— I'll fill the forms..." he suddenly starts to worry. This looked like a rich space amongst one of the finest hospitals in the city. Forget about reaching the desired amount for the bills, he's going to be in shambles and debts if he was willing to pay now.
The doctor chuckles.
"It's alright, my boy. Ravine is a special member back in our country. I believe you do not know her truth yet, stating you're from this country."
The doctor shouldn't have uttered a word more than needed.
Aaron sees the doctor walk out in a hurry, he was to attend another patient immediately. His words left Aaron in a ringing spree. The words kept repeating. An important British person...? Ravine? She barely looks British, given her emmersive upbringing of herself in the USA through her tender ages.
Aaron was flocked with his thoughts. Yet when the nurse asks him to visit the patient since he was summoned by her, Aaron bursts through the door and reaches her. She extends her hand out as he takes it immediately.
"Stop it, you're okay now. I'll tell you everything later. You were only having trauma induced stress, like PTSD. Something that doctor told me." Saying, he places her hand back to the bed so it rests and doesn't strain. She was moaning in pain and the uncomfortable feeling.
"Shush, you'll be discharged by tonight. Don't worry. I'll take you to all the places you want, but stop moving now."
"S-sleep beside m-me." She mutters softly. Aaron doesn't quite understand until she scoots to her left on the bed. He then joins her and cuddles her to sleep.
