A Get-away
Aaron plans on a get away. Him and Jasmine were seated on her bed. There were several papers and maps which gave a third person an impression that they were pirates.
"So, you wanna go on a cruise ship? It's a pretty long journey and not to say how much it's going to cost. Probably a few thousands." Warns Jasmine to her best friend.
"But- But I want her to get away from her house. She's traumatized and the scenes all happened in her house. The setting must be changed to her liking. Something that she can remember." Jasmine smiles with a blush on her face.
She lifts her hand which had a pen, careful not to pierce his head with it.
She ruffles his hair like a puppy.
"You're such a good boy, Aaron. I've never seen someone care for someone else like you do. I wish Jack Micheal was such a guy too!" Jasmine breaths the truth out. Aaron makes a face as he descends on the elder woman's lap. Jasmine is 22, one year younger to Ravine.
"Don't say that. She's not just a nobody to me. She's like my Goddess." He puckers his lips out and says as Jasmine was melting at his words.
"She's such a lucky girl!" Cheering on her industry nemesis, Jasmine tackles Aaron's head and crushes him with her excitement. The man chuckles and sighs heavily.
"It's roughly been a month with her, Jas. She's stealing my heart little by littler everyday. The way she eats and the way she sniffs her food first, breathing it's aroma. I make her food often or it's just take out but She's so cute dammit! Also, also when she—" Aaron was beginning to bore his best friend again. Jasmine didn't need to know all of the details. Just the surfacing major events would suffice.
Most because... Jasmine's heart still had feelings for the younger man. Aaron was someone who was there beside her when she felt the worst and the best. He was her ultimate counselor.
However, Aaron glimpses into the reality more frequently than her.
When she idolized everyone who she was excited to meet from the industry, Aaron had set his realistic and strong will coursing towards Ravine and no one else. He was a practical young man, a quality not just Jasmine but every female would admire in her man.
Ravine was one lucky woman on the planet.
"But wait. What about your campus though? I bet you didn't attend college for a month straight."
"Uh... hehe. More than one. I took a permission to attend only one class every week but I guess I haven't been going out frequently. You know how I'm stuck with work right? Also the director competition that you pushed me into. What about that?" Squinting his eyes close he looks at his best friend. Jasmine promised him she will participate in his short film for submission.
After all, the celebrity appearance in the film also adds to the point.
Meanwhile, Ravine was also being approached by a ton of people around the globe for their direction request.
Due to the demand, the prize money spiked upto 2 million, rock solid dollars.
Jasmine and Aaron were aware of that.
"Dude, without Ravine's script and her involvement, it's going to be out of our league."
"But that doesn't fall under our contract. Also I don't wanna see her fuck with a different man."
"But the director isn't allowed to participate, right?" Aaron clicks his tongue and buries his face in Jasmine's tummy. He cries like a boar on her clothes which reminded her of a baby boy throwing a tantrum to his mother.
"Aaron, think about it." Twisting him on his back, she said to him, "2 million fucking dollars will only need your direction skills and your ideas. I will participate, under one condition."
"And what's the condition?" Aaron asks with folded arms.
"I'm only shooting it with Jack Micheal." Says Jasmine, blushing.
"Hmm, wanna do the naughty while Announcing your relationship status to the world huh? Naughty, naughty~" Jasmine out of embarrassment begins tickling his tummy as he was caught in a chain of laughter spurt.
"Haha! Stop it! But wait. He didn't confess to you yet?"
"I didn't either. It's like weren't being dormant and observing each other. I feel the same from him. I'm loving it when he's remembering the little things I tell him. Like, it's fine if he touches my belly from within me with his dick but... he's shaking my heart and making my stomach churn so lovely too! Every second I'm with him I—" She looks down at Aaron who looks at her with flamboyant eyes. He was so, so interested and inquisitive about her love life.
Like a real best friend should be.
Wordlessly, Jasmine felt guilty now. Aaron had so much to speak about Ravine, yet Jasmine always reminds him to keep it short. When she is the same position, he was listening so intently like a child listening to their grandma's adventurous fairytale.
"Congratulations on finding the woman you like. If you need any, I mean any help. Come to your best friend." Says the woman. She kisses Aaron's head as he squeaks loudly in excitement.
"Oh god, I'm so excited Jas! I wanna confess to her after we come back from the cruise! I really want her to be mine, Jas. I know she isn't like my ex." Says Aaron, sitting straight.
"I know. Ravine is leagues apart."
"Hmm. But you, I mean neither of you never told me why you both don't like each other. I don't understand women in this aspect at all." As he came towards the end, Jasmine slowly loses her smile. She heaves a heavy sigh, gesturing him to stand up.
She plays some music while the two dance to it.
"It's a tale I cannot tell. I'll lose my face."
"What'd you do...?" Jasmine halts her actions when he asks her in disbelief. His voice was so feeble, as if he didn't want to believe she did something to Ravine in the past.
"It's all something we forgot. We are only industrial rivals. Nothing more." She was lying to his face and he knows. He shakes his head and says.
"Someday, I'm going to find out about this from another person and I don't want to loathe my only best friend. It's better you say it to me," he stresses on 'you' "than I finding out the truth myself. I'll wait for that day when you're willing to tell me. Until then, we'll act normal but don't forget. I must go now." Saying, Aaron begins to leave.
He was mindful of his timings and he didn't want to worry Ravine.
The cruise ship plan must go on.
As soon as he came home, Aaron began rolling round and round, trying to figure out which cruise ship was better.
Ravine stands against the doorframe. The damsel in distress was stressing out so bad. Ravine had no clue about his plans, he wasn't risking letting her know and ruin the surprise.
But how could he surprise her even? He doesn't have enough money in his bank even for one person!
"Arghhhh!" He screams in a high pitch. Closing his eyes, he turns away as Ravine slowly joins him on his bed.
"What's the issue baby boy?" The woman leans towards him, rubbing his hair softly.
"N-nothing. Did you see me screaming?" He asks.
"Yes." She chuckles and confirms.
"What's wrong?" She settles beside him as he lays flat on his back. Her head on his chest and she holds her spectacles in her hand.
"I've gotta start going to college at least once a week. I'll graduate next year, yet my attendance is being an issue." Says Aaron. A part of his stress was also his college matters.
"That's alright. You don't wanna go to college?" Asks the innocent woman. He looks down at her and nods.
"I don't want to. It's so boring." He complains like a child.
"But if you don't, you don't have other options left when you grow up. I know you're a wonderful director, but show up with a certificate and let the world know you're better than everyone. Be competitive, baby boy." Ravine kisses his chest. Yet he clicks his tongue and hugs her completely.
She felt like she was being held and cuddled by a giant baby.
"It's okay, I'll even drop you and pick you up if it's needed."
"No. No. I'm fine. Also you've been getting a heck ton of offers right? You shoukd accept one and start working on the video. It's turned into a really big competition." Says Aaron.
"Hmm. But I—" Her words accounted for her consideration towards Aaron. She knows that if she participated, she will add to the rivals Aaron has to beat to win the competition.
She swallowed her words. But he picked them back up.
"You're worried that I might not win if you participated in a video?" Asks Aaron as she hums.
"How dare you?" For an instant, Ravine couldn't understand his anger.
"How dare you underestimate my director skills. I thought you knew me better. You even saw my videos right? They're as good as any hecked company." Bursts Aaron.
"I know, stupid. I just don't want to pressure you more. You've got more potential than anyone." Says Ravine.
However, she wanted to cheer him up.
"Let me show you something." Says Ravine. She pulls Aaron out of the bed.
"Where are we going?" He asks. She doesn't answer.
"Come."
Aaron stands in front of the tall mahogany door. It was thrice as tall as him.
The door creaked open as Aaron closed his eyes.
"No, no! I don't want to—"
"Shush... it's fine. It's only my writing space. Open your eyes." The hand that went to cover his eyes was held by her. She pulls them down so he views the holy place where the woman works.
It was all in shambles.
It was as if disaster struck in here.
But that is how a creatively gifted person shall have their room made up.
Papers were scattered all around. Aaron felt he would disrespect her creativity if he step on the papers, even by mistake.
He picks them all up as he progressed towards the golden space. The writing desk.

Ravine picks up the pen, looking at with brooding amounts of pride. The pen has been with her ever since she began writing scripts for little action sequences until now. Her greatest works were on display with the titles and compositions below the glass of her desk.
She said to him it boosted her confidence.
She leans on the slanted desk, her palm upon the glass as Aaron looks at her with gleaming eyes.
"This," She waves the pen in her hand, holding it with her heart, "This is the Erotic Pen."
The Erotic Pen which filled her papers with ideas and made the person she is now.
The Erotic Pen.
