Risky kiss
The two crossed the diner and burst into the balcony. They saw waves crash to the ship from the railing. Suddenly, Aaron thinks of recreating the Titanic scene with her.
With just a little bit of modern modifications.
He takes her hand and twists her so she faces him. Her shocked face meets his confident one, he twirls her right back on her feet. The music poured from the other side of the ship, faint and little.
People began wondering where the stars of tonight walked away so suddenly, but there they were. Enjoying the night on their own while the moonlight and the sounds of waves crashing became their set up.
"This is the best date ever!" Yells Ravine to the ocean. Aaron chuckles boyishly, his body warming up and his stomach churning. He was still deciding if he could do the Modern Titanic pose with her or not.
"Ravine?" He approaches her who was leaning against the railing. "Yeah?" Her big smile greeted him.
"Do you mind if I did this to you?" She was perplexed.
"Do what— Whoa!" Suddenly, Aaron climbs over the other side of the railing. His long legs gave him an ease over to climb the tall railing.
"I dare you." Says Aaron.
This was the most exciting thing he's done in his life. He shrieks when he looks down at the waves crashing against the iron ship. It was a mind boggling sight for anyone.
Ravine was way excited as she too climbs the railing with her dress and heels. The woman couldn't hold back, especially since her adrenaline was pumping, coursing through her blood.
She shrieks as she looks down too.
Aaron holds one hand out for her as she turns out, her body facing the abyss of the sea. From afar, she could see the land disappearing, fading as it becomes a small dot.
"Nice view right!?" Aaron asks her over the deafening sounds of the waves and the motor.
"Yeah! Oh my God, I love this!" The crazy woman yells. In the end, she is covered up by the man's tall figure. She was inside his cage, his hands holding the railing tightly at her waist as she looked into his eyes.
Slowly, they started inching towards each other.
This was their most exciting kiss ever.
Hands busy holding on for life, the woman caged by his body as he kept her warm and fuzzy.
"Aaron, I'm scared..." she says over his lips. They could slip and fall into the ocean anytime. The ship stood tall against the sea, never-mind the blades that were swinging below. The whole experience was way too risky.
Yet, they loved it.
"I—" the words were suddenly stuck in his throat.
He couldn't say it.
Maybe it was his heart, it's still unsure of what he feels about her. On the other hand, Ravine wanted to hear the words from him while she too said those back. Upon seeing his hesitation, she gives him a tight lipped smile.
She kisses his neck, softly whispering.
"I know you need time." She says.
His eyes widened. She knew...
Feeling ashamed that he couldn't express himself even now, he slowly climbs away while Ravine does the same.
It was supposed to be a good date night, but his unsure heart ruined it all.
"I'm sorry...I—" He still couldn't say it. Ravine, now a little disappointed at him, holds his hand.
"Aaron, it's alright. We sail on the same boat." She says gently.
The two were indeed disappointed to know about their unsurity. Why couldn't they confess?
Maybe it was their induced trauma. Both have seen their ex-partners do something unforgiving to them. They always had trust issues.
To put in better terms, neither of the two were willing to give their hearts away just to let it be broken. They were being 'careful'.
"Let's forget this ever happened. Now come. Everyone's at the diner." Says Ravine. Her moonlit face was gleaming with love.
They enter the diner inside the cruise ship. Their reserved table had a menu card to choose their dishes from.
It was complimentary for the night, but Aaron wondered how the heck would he pay for those against the complimentary. Everyone was no less than 50$, including water bottles and other beverages.
"Do rich people eat gold or what?" He grumbles under his breath. Ravine hides his snickering under her menu card. The waiter was moving around, collecting orders.
"Excuse me. I'll have whatever is edible. I cannot choose tonight." Says Aaron while he made a face at Ravine. The waiter scribbles something down, turning to Ravine.
"Caviar Caesar salad and steak please. Also add a few..." she gives the waiter a big buffet menu. She knows Aaron will gulp everything down eventually.
"Thank you madame." The waiter walks away.
"So? You plan on going to college after we go back home?" She asks. Aaron almost always forgets Ravine is older than him and he is younger than her, that he is also a student.
"Oh... ugh...I don't wanna go to college. It's so boring."
"But I told you we need a certificate for you, right. How about that?" Asks Ravine.
"I'll manage." Says he.
After a minute or so, Aaron's phone starts ringing. It was his mother calling as his excitement showed.
"Who's that?"
"My mom's calling me after so long! I'll be right back." He says and walks away.
"Hi mama!" The young man turns into a little boy as he greets his mother.
"Hello, my love! The signal is too weak, I can't hear you clearly." Says she.
"I know, I've been... traveling." He says, and he talks to her about everything. His mother was always supportive of his dreams. She did not mind when he told her he would pursue pornography and make it his career, along with majoring in photography and videography.
He talks to her about everything, and she says,
"So that lucky girl likes you too?"
"I think so, mom. I pray she likes me the way I like her too. She's everything I ever wanted."
"I am so proud of you, son. Get her home if you can, some time. I want to meet this lucky girl who pushed my son's luck so far." Aaron chuckles as he wipes a happy tear out of his eye.
"Thanks, mama. I will come home with her, soon." And he cuts the call.
Taking a deep breath in, he looks at the moon and prays,
"Make her mine, please."
The moon shall definitely grant him his wish.
As he walked out to talk to his mother, a mysterious man behind a mask takes his seat in front of Ravine. The woman busy on her phone looks at the man, saying.
"This place is reserved. My boyfriend will be here soon." Says she.
"He isn't your boyfriend, sweetheart. I am." The familiar voice hits.
She widens her eyes, partially knowing who was behind that mask.
As the man reveals himself, Ravine's excitement knew no bounds.
It was the Hollywood actor Franky DeRough!
Her favorite actor since she joined the industry!
"I- I'm sorry, Mr. Franky. Oh my God!" She wasn't behaving like the rich, rather like a fan girl to the man who revealed himself.
"You are the host of this party, I believe. I am so excited to join you today! It was actually my boyfriend's plan—"
"He isn't your boyfriend, Ravine Madame." The man says. He was around 35 years of age, he knew how the industry does not allow a woman to have love partners. Only sexual partners prevail and he was damn right.
"I can't deny that I like him though. But... why do you join me on this occasion? A lot have their eyes on you but you seem to have your eyes on me." She says in a cocky way. The man smirks, leaning back on the chair.
"Ravine, you come to my ball party and sweep everyone from the dance floor with your 'lover'." He quotes the word as she chuckles.
"I wish to spend a night with the one who caught my eyes." Says the actor openly. It was very common for a married man to have affairs, in Hollywood. Ravine also happens to be the most enticing woman the world has known. Her natural beauty is something every boy wants in his partner. All in all, Ravine singlehandedly raised the standards of women too.
"And I wish to spend the days with the one who has my heart." Slowly, his words were suggesting her than porn makers and actors have no love life. They don't deserve to be loved, he seems to say indirectly. It pissed her off.
She suddenly remembers the day when Aaron caressed her hair and said, "We from the industry aren't different from people Ravine. So what if we show a little more skin than people? So what if we like to have sex with many people to entertain the viewers?"
Of course...
What was ever wrong?
Everyone has a heart. Everyone has the right to love or not to love.
"I'm sorry, but i can't see otherwise that you take me as a whore. I am not. I am in love with someone right now and i shall save myself the best I can for him."
"Then what about the times you didn't save yourself for him? You've had many intercourses. What about them? Do you plan to hide them—"
"I'm not a coward. He accepts me the way I am and he does the same to me. We are not what you take us as. Now please, leave. He will be back any moment." Says Ravine as she shows no interest in him.
It's crazy how a person can look so good outwardly but deep down they're so rotten. Ravine was boiling in anger. She did not expect the man to he so downtrodden.
"He is coming." Aaron views the sight, his eyebrows crashing. He does recognise the actor however also observes Ravine's upset face.
"You okay?" He asks Ravine, stuffing his phone in his pocket.
"Hmm..." Franky now sees Aaron in front of him.
"You're a good looking man. Want to join our team as a co-actor? I'll grant you money—" Franky gets cut off for the second time of the night. Aaron says as a reply, "I am not cut to be an actor, sir. I prefer shooting a video better."
Aaron, without knowing the truth cannot be rude to the actor. It'll only cause problems.
Franky turns to Aaron, standing up and patting his shoulder.
"My production company will hire passionate film directors like you any time. Just give a ring." Saying, Franky passes a card reading "FRJ productions."
As if Aaron could direct large scale movies.
"Ciao, senorita." Greeting Ravine who gives Franky a half smile without standing, Franky leaves.
"What the fuck was that about?" Aaron asks. Ravine knew if she told him what happened, Aaron would definitely, at least, give ONE punch to the man. Emphasis on: one.
"Nothing embarrassing. I told him I was waiting for you."
"Boy, he's hosting the party and can't find a seat for himself? Poor guy." Ravine and Aaron began laughing loudly. Their neighbor seats were staring hard at them, but they didn't give an inch of a fuck.
"Ah... you're so witty. I like it!"
"You like my witty attitude from my mouth or my mouth?" Aaron asks, his eyebrow up.
"The mouth is good." Says she.
Their dinner arrives. Theirs was the only oddball of a table which had most of the dishes. There wasn't even place to keep the dishes until the waiter took them all away. It wasn't particularly embarrassing, but it was a good sight.
The chefs felt happy there were rich-gluttonees rather than posh-dieters on the ship journey.
Filling up their stomachs, they felt the sugar rush and slumber all starting to wash over them.
"Nice party. I wanna go to my room now."
"You're not in the mood to socialize?" Asks Ravine to Aaron as he shakes his head like a kid.
"I was never born to socialize. I'll wait for you in the room." Says the man as he kisses her lips softly, leaving the scene.
However, Ravine was left alone.
There was no one by her side and that became an opportunity for...
