Burdened away
He stares down at her. She looked so defeated... and so was he.
He realises that she was indeed in love with him, even if it was for a very brief while.
Otherwise, why would she laugh and cry with him during his happiest and hardest times? He did not know the reason for her wanting to seek love from him, but he wasn't willing to forgive her because of her selfishness again.
"So you decided to love money more than me." He says at the end. She bursts out crying.
"If you really did love me, you would have stopped everything, court me while being single and unacquainted and love me for who I was. I always knew you were there for my money, lady. But i overlooked it because I loved you like a fool. When you were with that man, in my house and in my bed, I lost it. I threw up our four months of relationship with alcohol and I was underage. I will never forgive you." His voice turned shaky towards the end too.
As she cried... and smiled, he looked at the different version of hers.
She wasn't the same whiny girl she was.
She wasn't the same meek girl who had a great high pitch while talking and seemed attention 24/7. She was different.
She had matured too, he can say.
"I was a fool to love money that what kept me happy." She finally admits. He looks away, looking at the lively street that began to crowd at office hours. While they office goers and the adults were staring at them, he stared back at them. He thought, that their marriage would not be as hard as he was going through with now. Right now, all he wanted and prayed meticulously was to make the small bag of feelings for this girl... disappear.
It was become, and serve as a tool to let the last thing on his heart out and let him grow as fast as he can. When the baggage is dropped from the small cage called the heart, the man and his personality will shoot up to the sky.
He believed he was doing well.
Until, she showed up again.
He looks at her. Smiling...
She stares at his beautiful smile that was nice only exclusive to her. She was jealous of his new chick, she does not know who his new 'chick' was. She wasn't much into porn news, it seems.
"Thank you for walking back in my life again. After this, I'm sure I am dropping and disowning all feelings I once possessed towards you. I, now have a lucky woman who made me the luckiest man on the planet. I shall focus more on her." Says Aaron as he climbs on his bike swiftly.
Before he wore the helmet, to hide the tears that would continuously flow through the wounds of his heart that rebuked, he was stopped by the girl.
She looks at him with an admiring smile.
"I hope that lucky girl gets all the love she deserves from a person like you. If you think you're lucky than the whole planet, then that girl is luckier than the entire universe to have you." Says the girl.
"Thank you."
"No," he slowly leans in to kiss his cheek. A tear drop falls against his cheek as she closes her eyes. He could feel the tremble upon her lips as she kissed his face, "Thank you." She says to him.
"Thank you for being mine once. I'll never forget those memories." Saying, Aaron was forced to watch the woman he loved once disappear again from his sight.
But this time, both were confident over their decisions. It was timed perfectly, he felt.
While she chose not to get into any relationships with any man again, Aaron was determined to love his woman harder than ever before. As the heaviness finally dropped his heart, he was flying and soaring higher than any bird.
With a smile, he drove towards Ravine.
Not to concern her, he washes his face before going to the floor that she was said to be.
It was pretty flocked for the evening. He was wondering what was the reason.
And behind everything was a security team that was guarding Ravine in the middle.
She wore her infamous cat eye goggles and a black face mask. On the contrary, Aaron was pretty confident about his appearance in public as he approaches his girlfriend and goes beyond the security with her permission.
The people around click photos of them as she kisses his cheek even through the face mask.
"Hello, love. Please wait inside while I finish the auction in a little while." He raises his eyebrow as he sees the many cameras flashing towards them. He always knew Ravine liked to play dirty and filthy. She was a rich businesswoman for nothing, he thought.
The woman let others take pictures of them because her popularity would increase with a stark alter. The world, if not officially will know that the infamous Ravine has got into a relationship with this good looking young man.
Many will write stories on her, yet it won't be necessary to pay attention to them.
After all, through media, no popularity was ever negative or positive. It's all about viewership, never about opinions and values and ethics.
Aaron smirks at the woman, away from camera's reach.
"Sleek bitch." He whispers to her as she laughs.
"Gotta be." She simply answers as she pushes him into her studio.
This auction technique outside her office always gave her a chance to earn double, or even maybe triple of her script. They were official from her, once sold were never demanded back other than copyrights of hers.
Finally, the document was sold at the porn script auction for a striking 40,000$. It was a rich production company who sent their manager to collect it.
"Pleasure doing business with you." Says Ravine as she checks the suitcase of cash and hands her script over.
Aaron watches her through the translucent window. He could hear her and see her movements vaguely.
She was a true devil, he thought.
Nothing is fair in love and war, nor in business either.
