Pleasurable soreness
"Hmm..." the woman coos while squirming round the bed. She and her lover have had yet another memorable night. They were actually surprised to see their constellations beside each other. Hers was Aries, he was an Aquarius.
Coming to think of it, Ravine realizes his birthday must be within the duration of his exams. He must be way too stressed to even take the examinations on time. She wanted to be of some help.
She formulates a plan.
"Good morning, sweetness." Aaron, jumping at her and kissing her bosom welcomes her into another morning. She smiles and kisses his hair, damp from the shower he just had.
"I'll go freshen up too. Please on the hot water for me." She requests, he takes it as his command as he does so. Meanwhile, she keeps her brush set out and her combs, clothes and a towel.
She too takes a head bath while he played games on his mobile phone while she was gone.
As she comes back from the shower, wiping her hair off with the hand towel, she receives the notice from him.
"Breakfast's ready. Let's go down after you're done." He says, not once lifting his head. She chuckles at him and hums to acknowledge. However, the table was being set as the cousins all rounded them up.
"You guys are too bold." One cousin says to Aaron, hanging on his shoulder.
"Yeah. Last night was something else. You guys went to the terrace again?" One of the naughty batch of cousins says as Ravine's cheeks were dusted pink. She looks around, sighing as her glance meets with Elizabeth.
Elizabeth was stood across them, leaning beside a pillar while she glared at Ravine. She wasn't even intending to hide it. She was glaring in open space at Ravine.
"I'm sorry, but I gotta attend something." Saying, Ravine excuses herself from the tease conversation.
"What's your problem?" Ravine asks out deliberately. Elizabeth scoffs, taking a bite from her apple that was as red as her cheeks. She looks at her love interest, then back at the one who stole the man from her.
"I have nothing against you. I'm just bitter at my own self—"
"That's not true. Because you cannot be bitter at yourself, you're showing your insecurity towards me. I understand. As children you've made some silly promises but you gotta grow up. He's mine and I'll give him not chance at leaving me, nor am I willing to leave him any time soon. I'll see you around. Goodbye, for now." Shaking her head, Ravine walks away. She was trying hard to suppress a headache.
Aaron takes her under his arms and enquires what was her conversation with Elizabeth about. She neatly denies the fact that she just warned the girl and came back.
Breakfast was filled with jokes of all content. The younger ones of the family did not understand most of the adult talks.
But Ravine found something very dear amongst this large group of people.
It was like a huge group without any particular subgroups. Everyone was united like a nation of power. She also found Aaron's father is one such man who's regarded the most in his family. By age factor, he is supposed to be the direct heir to the Legendary Skiez. But as per the old late man's will, he wasn't the heir, rather amongst many other heirs.
Ravine was tapped by Aaron to make her look at Aaron's mom who covers her mouth and lips her words out, "meet me after breakfast."
Ravine nods, but confusedly looks at Aaron who only smiles at his mother.
His mother, after breakfast steals Ravine from Aaron who whines.
"I'll walk with you two!" Says Aaron, whining as Ravine and his mother were at the end of the gate.
"No. Play with your cousins. They miss you a lot. You will be leaving this evening, right? Play with your cousins while you still have time." Says the mother as he presses the corner of his lips downwards.
"It's going to be fine. We have a whole journey to cover. Stay rested, okay?" Kissing his lips, Ravine waves at him as he hangs his arms around the gate like a child. He runs back inside upon his cousins calling for him.
"Finally. Found the time to talk to you, Ravine." Says the mother of Aaron.
"Yes, mom. I— how is dad by the way?"
"Mom... dad? I see you've already eased into our family!" The bob cut old lady says while laughing.
"Please continue calling us like that. And yes, dad is just fine. He had a small stroke the other night, that's all. I wanted Aaron to meet him before his exams started." Adds the old lady.
"Yes, I understand. Aaron is very hardworking and wants to be the best in everything. He works so hard, he's almost way too tired to even come home straight. He wants to stay with his friend rather. I pity him." Says Ravine.
"Thank you for taking care of my son. He is really the gem of my eye. I am at such peace here, listening to him blabber on and on about the woman he loves." As the old woman spoke about her son who is in love with her, Ravine was slowly turning red like a ripening tomato. She bites her lower lip, she was quickly embraced on her side.
"I can say, you're the perfect woman to marry my son." The words make Ravine whip her head towards her boyfriend's mother.
"M- Marry him?"
"Are you unsure?" She was wittily questioned back. Ravine understood who did Aaron derive his wittiness from. This woman is an actual bomb of words which made Ravine speechless.
Everyone has their own role models. Ravine just now chose hers for the future.
She aspires to be as cool and loved by this woman.
Suddenly, Ravine's phone that was in her pocket starts ringing.
It was Aaron himself.
Peeping at the ID, Aaron's mother chuckles delightfully.
"He can't even stay away from you for a minute, can he?" The two ladies chuckle as Ravine attends the call.
However, the words flowing from Aaron were almost unbelievable.
"Dad has a stroke, Ravine! Come home quickly with mom, right now!"
