CONJECTURE CLAIMS
The General's expression remained inscrutable, his demeanor unyielding. "Some matters are sensitive, Ms. Gia. Information is shared on a need-to-know basis."
As tension crackled in the air, Gia stood her ground, her eyes fixed on the General, her voice steely with determination. "I know Ejay is alive. I've seen him. People have seen him. Again, how can you deny it? Why don’t you even want to give it even just a slight thought? Why don’t you want to listen to me?"
The General's expression remained stoic, his tone firm. "Ms. Gia, I understand your conviction, but in the same way that you want me to believe your theory, I ask the same from you. I assure you that the man you claim to be Ejay is dead. There's no room for doubt in that matter. Believe me.”
Gia's frustration surged within her, her disbelief colliding head-on with the General's unwavering stance. "I refuse to accept your version of the truth! The evidence, the sightings—they all point to Ejay being alive. And since you cannot provide the evidence that I am asking for, I am sorry, but I chose to hold on to my hallucinations. I know it in my heart that that monster is alive."
The general's demeanor remained composed, his voice measured. "You're mistaken. What you think you have witnessed is not reality. Ejay's death was confirmed, and there's no reason to dispute that fact. I am sorry, we cannot give you the assurance that you need. Understand that there are things that are kept highly confidential."
“I am not stupid, in general. I don’t see why that matter has to be confidential to someone like me who helped the police find that man. I have all the rights to know. I have the right to claim his body since he is my relative, in case that slipped your mind, officer. But at this point, I know I will be wasting my time asking for more.” Gia's voice rose with intensity, her frustration boiling over. "One thing I would like to tell you, though, in general, is that you are obviously hiding something! There is a cover-up, a conspiracy. I won't be silenced, and I won't stop until I uncover the truth!"
The general's resolve matched Gia's intensity. "There's no conspiracy, Ms. Gia. Your insistence on a false tale won't change the reality of Ejay's demise. And you better not try to tarnish my name. "
The heated exchange escalated, and the air was thick with tension and unresolved conflict. Gia's adamant belief clashed with the general's unwavering denial, creating an impasse of conflicting truths that seemed insurmountable. In the midst of the heated confrontation, the truth remained elusive, shrouded in a veil of secrecy and conflicting perceptions that neither party seemed willing to yield.
The general's words hung in the air, a cold accusation that sliced through the tense atmosphere of the hotel room. "Ms. Gia, I understand your grief, but entertaining the notion that Ejay is alive—it's bordering on delusion."
Gia's jaw clenched with indignation, her eyes flashing with a mix of frustration and determination. The man was obviously lying, and the lies were etched in his every action. "I'm not delusional! There is evidence, sightings, and people who can attest to seeing him. How can you dismiss that?"
The general's facade remained unmoved, his tone condescending. "People see what they want to see. Their perceptions are often skewed, especially in times of distress."
Gia's voice shook with restrained fury. "This isn't about perception! There is a truth here that you refuse to acknowledge. Where is the evidence of Ejay's death? Why the secrecy about his dead body's whereabouts?"
The general's gaze turned icier, giving a calculated edge to his words. "There's no need to discuss matters that were resolved long ago. You are chasing a ghost, Ms. Gia. Stop this!"
Frustration clawed at Gia's chest, the veil of secrecy surrounding Ejay's supposed demise infuriating her. "You call it resolved, but I call it a cover-up. You're hiding the truth!"
The general's demeanor remained composed, his retort cutting. "Ms. Gia, I advise you to consider the implications of your claims. Baseless accusations won't change the reality. I suggest you reevaluate your beliefs before you're deemed unfit to discern fact from fiction."
Gia felt her rage rising, but she realized there was nothing more she could do at that time. She became more determined to find the elusive truth about Ejay's inexplicable disappearance and purported death as a result of the general's failure to offer evidence and his dismissal of her ideas as mere insanity. The broken reality remained a gap between them as the encounter came to a standstill, leaving Gia to deal with the unnerving conclusion that her search for answers was greeted by impenetrable walls of secrecy and denial.
Gia squared her shoulders and turned a resolute face at the general. "General, I'm not crazy. I've encountered Ejay. I do not doubt that he abducted Deep."
The general's expression remained inscrutable, his voice calm yet tinged with skepticism. "Ms. Gia, your certainty is commendable, but without tangible proof, your claims hold no weight."
Frustration coursed through Gia's veins, her belief in what she had witnessed clashing with the general's dismissive stance. "I understand your skepticism, but there are witnesses and sightings. People who can corroborate what I'm saying. The incidences are too coincidental to overlook."
The general's tone remained measured, his gaze unwavering. "Eyewitness accounts can often be unreliable, especially in emotionally charged situations. I require concrete evidence to consider such serious allegations."
Gia felt her resolve harden, a fierce determination propelling her forward. "I'll find the evidence. I'll prove that Ejay is alive and that he's responsible for what happened to Deep."
The general's demeanor remained composed, and his response was calculated. "Feel free to pursue your investigations, Ms. Gia. But until you provide substantial proof, your claims will remain nothing but conjecture. And I warn you, if this gets me into any trouble, I will destroy you."
“Is that a threat?” Gia asked.
He shook his head slightly. “You have no idea what it takes to achieve such high ranks as the one I have. I will not agree to lose it just because of a mere girl who is living under a misconception. I am warning you, Gia, choose what to do wisely."
