Permanent like my love for you
“S’bu, I get that you are sorry and I believe you but I need more than that”Thandi told him with a serious face.
“Ask for anything and you got it” S’bu promised.
“I need you to consider my feelings before acting. I know that we are not married but could you not hook up with my friends and family” Thandi said and waited for him to respond. Instead of responding S’bu pulled her to his arms and kissed her passionately. To Thandi’s surprise the kiss felt so right that she kissed him back. Soon they were both breathing fast and Thandi had unbuttoned his shirt. She broke the kiss as something on his chest caught her eye and her jaw dropped.
“S’bu, are you crazy!” she exclaimed.
“Yes, about you, I am” he said following her gaze.
‘Does it come off?” She asked, touching the tattoo that was on S’bu’s chest above his heart.
“It’s permanent, like my love for you” he said charmingly.
“I was with Tsepo when you did this! Are you crazy? What if we didn’t make up?” she asked amazed.
“It does not matter the circumstances, my love for you is forever” he responded.
She blushed, touching his chest again. The tattoo on S’bu’s chest was her name surrounded by a drawing of a heart. “I could have never asked you to do this” she said looking at him.
“MaDlamini, I love you, you are the love of my life”he confessed.
“I love you too” she said blushing and kissing him.
He pushed her away gently, he was starting to feel the heat rising from below his belly.
“Don’t push me away, I don’t want to stop anymore” she said closing the distance between them.
“I know that you’ve been under pressure because of your virginity lately, you don’t have to do anything you are not ready to do. I will wait for you until you are ready” S’bu said still keeping his distance.
“I’m ready” she said confidently.
“Thandi, this is not a decision you can make lightly. I know what your virginity means to you”he said. He knew how much Thandi valued her culture and traditions. She had virginity certificates issued from the King’s palace from the time she turned 12 years.
“I’ve thought about it, it’s what I want” Thandi said adamantly.
“Ok, but only if we do everything right” he conceded.
Thandi agreed excited.
“First you go pack up your bag, you spending the weekend with me. You can change your mind anytime, no pressure” he said.
Thandi went to her room, packed her bag fast and left with S’bu. S’bu drove to a clinic to do an hiv test, handed his results to Thandi and headed to a mall and insisted that Thandi chooses an evening dress and shoes for their dinner date.
“You should have told me about the dinner date then I would have packed appropriate clothes”she complained.
“If I told you, I would have missed the opportunity to buy something for you” he said proudly. Thandi was against expensive gifts so he had to come up with creative ways to get her somethings. After the mall they went to S’bu flat to get ready for their dinner date. When Thandi came out, S’bu was already dressed and waiting in the kitchen for her. He had a black suit that was tailor made for him and fitted him perfectly. He was wearing a white shirt that was unbuttoned at the collar and black shoes. With his handsome features, Thandi thought he looked like a model. S’bu stood up and whistled when he saw Thandi coming out. She wore her hair into a ponytail highlighting her facial features. She was wearing a long silky red dress that hugged her breasts and waist tightly showing off her perfect figure and silver high heeled shoes.
Thandi blushed.
“You are perfect” he said walking to her.
“So are you” she responded kissing him. She wished this moment would last forever, everything was perfect.
“You better stop that if you want to get to dinner, believe me you are going to need the energy” he teased.
“Let go then” Thandi said blushing.
S’bu insisted on opening the car door for her when getting in and out. Thandi had never been to the restaurant S’bu took her to, they were ushered into a private room that had the most beautiful scenery. Thandi was shocked when she saw the prices on the menu. The price of a starter is more expensive than my monthly allowance, she complained feeling uncomfortable.
“Today is very special and I want everything to be perfect. Can you not worry about prices just this once” S’bu pleaded holding her hands. Thandi nodded and asked him to order for them as she had no idea what was good to eat there. After the waitress left with their order, music started playing on the background. Thandi smiled when she heard her favourite song playing. It was a song about a couple that had been through a lot together but loved each other despite everything.
“May I have this dance?” S’bu asked standing in front of her, offering his hand. She put her hand on his and stood up to dance with him. They moved slowly in perfect rhythm with Thandi’s head resting on S’bu’s shoulder. His one hand was still holding her hand and the other rested around her waist. They danced until the waitress came back with their food. The food was a three course meal and delicious but Thandi still felt it was too much. After their dinner, they drove back to S’bu’s flat. Thandi took off her shoes and stood on her tiptoes to kiss S’bu. Soon they were kissing passionately against the kitchen counter.
