My Alien
When they got inside the house, Menzi was there playing music loud and dancing. Thandi greeted him and wondered if he heard all the noise they made in the garage. She was relieved when he asked them if they had been watching him dance for a long time, due to the loud music, he did not hear them come in. Thandi was feeling tired and decided to rest in the bedroom leaving the two brothers.
“In the garage, really?” Menzi asked his brother sarcastically after making sure Thandi was really gone.
“So, you heard us?” S’bu asked smiling.
“I didn’t only hear, dude I saw you. When I heard the noise I thought it was burglars and went to investigate. You can imagine my surprise when I came across the scene” Menzi said.
“Thandi can never know about this, she would definitely leave town” S’bu warned.
“She will never hear it from me, Menzi promised. Now I see why she needs a contraception” he added.
“About that, have you thought about our last discussion?” S’bu asked.
“It’s illegal, unethical and I could loose my medical license. All I can tell you is she’s never going to deal with me and the people involved won’t have a clue. I don’t promise that it will work and I’m only helping you because she already your wife” Menzi said.
“Thanks Bro, you are the best” S’bu said grateful.
“Did she buy the story about the car?” Menzi asked.
“I think so, but she gave Brian a hard time” S’bu said recalling how Thandi drilled Brian with questions.
“Normal people would never conceal a gift this big from their wives.”
“We both know that Thandi would never accept a gift this expensive and she still does not know that we are married.”
“You two have special problems” Menzi said shaking his head. “I know a lot of girls who would kill to be married to you and gladly welcome all the gifts that would come their way”he added.
“She’s my alien and I love her” S’bu said tenderly.
When Menzi left, S’bu went to join a fast asleep Thandi in the bedroom. He took a photo of her sleeping and posted it on his wall with a caption “my alien”. He had a lot of comments from his friends who knew how lonely he was when Thandi was abroad. What he didn’t know was someone else was studying his posts closely and waiting for a time to strike. The following day, they both woke up and got ready to go to work. It was Thandi’s first day and she did not want to be late but S’bu was fooling around.
“You know you can never get in trouble when you arrive at work with the boss”S’bu said kissing her neck.
“Stop it, at this rate we will be late for sure!” Thandi exclaimed pushing him away.
“Okay fine, let’s go”S’bu said giving in.
Luckily the traffic was not bad and they made it to work on time. Thandi even arrived before her friend and started working. During her lunch hour she went to the clinic to get her contraceptive injection. She was attended to very fast by a nurse who took her details and gave her the injection. She still had 30 minutes of her lunch time when she got back to JC. She was tempted to go and see S’bu but decided to be professional at work and only go to her bosses office only when she had an appointment with him. Not knowing what else to do with herself, she decided to continue with her work.
“Are you trying to get me in trouble with department of labour?” S’bu asked kissing her neck.
“No flirting at work” Thandi said pushing him away.
“Why are you working during lunch hour?” he asked.
“I came back early from my appointment and didn’t know what to do” she said.
“You didn’t think to come see your man?” he asked pretending to be hurt.
“You are my boss, I want to keep things professional between us at work” Thandi said.
“How about you report your work progress to the boss every lunch hour and every night?” he asked smiling.
“S’busiso I’m serious, I’m not coming to your office unless it’s something work related and you are not coming here either” she said sternly.
“You so sexy when you are serious” he teased.
“To everyone here, I’m just an inexperienced girl who became a manager by screwing the boss. I need to earn my respect and I can’t do that if I’m always with you” she said hoping that S’bu would take her serious.
“Okay fine, you win but promise to make it up to me after work” he said.
“How do you manage to turn everything to your advantage?” Thandi asked wondering how she got to a position where she needs to promise to make it up to him.
“That’s my secret, he said kissing her cheeks. I can’t wait to take off that suit” he said, leaving Thandi blushing.
Few months passed, Thandi and Mandy settled well in their unit and were working on a research that would be ground breaking if it was a success. They had a huge sponsor and many universities wanted to collaborate with them. S’bu was so proud of them that he would not stop praising his beautiful quantum physicist on social media. The JC board was very happy about the company’s progress and the profit that was doubling every month. The research unit was being covered on the news a lot lately and praised for the good work and it reflected well on the company. Most board members decided to never oppose their CEO in the future.
