I had just arrived in Senegal because my mother was sick so I had to come and see her, I knew that Dina was also here, but during our stay here I knew that we might not even see each other, I arrived at my house, I was greeted, I found my mother in the living room as well as my half brothers and sisters, I wondered if she had miraculously recovered because she did not seem to be suffering from any ailment, I just stood there and watched her, not understanding anything.
She saw me and came to take me in her arms, I remained unmoved, she detached herself from me and I continued to observe her simply.
She: welcome my son
Me: thank you, are you going to explain me or do I have to wait again?
She: uh, just rest first, ok? Then I'll tell you everything
Me: so you pretended to be seriously ill
Her: yes, that's right
Me: but it's not true mom
She: what mom? Leave me my son, I wanted you near me
Me: but maman_COPY
She: but mom nothing, you are going to greet your father and then you go to take a shower and then you lie down to sleep and tomorrow we will talk about it again.
I simply did what she told me, my mother is unbelievable.

I had finished putting the children to bed and I found my mother in the living room.
Me: mom
She: my baby
Me: do you blame me for something?
She: no, not at all
Me: then why are you so secretive and so distant from me since I'm here, you wanted me to come now I'm here so what?
Her: do you manage to educate your children well Dina?
Me: of course you think that they are badly educated, did their behavior make you believe that they were?
Her: not at all, but Dina in life a child always needs a father, now they are small but when they grow up how will you do?
Me: I will adapt myself as I go along
She: no. They need a father
Me: mom as you know Moab died almost five years ago so what father could I give them, Amir is already a father figure for them they love him, and I know that Amir will always be there for them.
She: but Dina you are still so young, have you ever thought of getting married again?
Me: no, never, I don't want to and I'm not a young mother, I'm almost thirty years old
Her: Dina don't you need love?
Me: Mom, I have had the love of Moab and that is enough for me, let's not talk about it, please
She: Dina...
Me: I'm going to ....... I'm going to bed mom, good night
She: Good night my baby
The next day
Amir Sow
It was 10 o'clock in the morning, I had eaten my breakfast and now I was sitting on the terrace, I was watching my brothers playing in the yard when my mother joined me on the terrace.
She: Are you ok?
Me: Yes and you?
Her: I am fine thank you
Me: Okay.
Her: the moment has come
Me: what time are you talking about?
Her: the time to get married
Me: oh please mom this is not in my plans
She: now if, my son, you will be soon 37 years old and you are still not married, you don't have children at this rate you won't have strength to take care of your children, to educate them
Me: I don't want a child mom, I assure you that it's okay
Her: you say all this because of Dina, don't you?
Me: what does it have to do with her?
Her: the point is that you only talk about her every time you call me, you always get her name out of your mouth, and when you talk about her, your eyes light up, you're happy, but Dina doesn't want to get married again which is why you don't try anything.
Me: Dinah has made her choice and I must respect it, she still loves Moab, and in her heart there will always be only him.
Her: and that hurts you in some way, doesn't it? But although it hurts you, you prefer to act as a good friend. Time has passed and today Dina has mourned, I'm sure even Moab would be proud that it was you rather than another man.
Me: but Dina will never accept me, and when you love someone you respect their choices
Her: you're getting married
Me: excuse me?
Her: yes it's time, I know that if it's not her it will be no one, and I can't see my son unhappy.
Me: and how do you plan to get Dina to marry me?
She: you will see my son
Me: don't do anything I beg you, promise me that you won't force Dina to marry me
She: no
Me: please
She: I promise you
Me: well thank you
Two days later

I was at home with the children and my mother and we were watching cartoons, my mother left and came back with some documents, I was wondering what it was about.
She: Dina I would like you to sign these papers
Me: What papers are they?
She: papers for the purchase of my premises to make my store
Me: Oh yes, okay.
I took the pen after having read a little the documents, then I wondered what it was for it was about my mother she could not make me a bad blow I had confidence in her, I finished to sign the papers then I gave her.
She: thank you my daughter
Me: why do you seem to be emotional, don't worry, the purchase of this place is nothing compared to what I should offer you.
Her: yes, but thank you.
Me: You're welcome, mom.

Mom had told me that she needed a place where she could open a store selling loincloths, she had found the ideal place and had already agreed on everything with the buyer, being the one who made the purchase I had to sign the documents, I quickly signed the papers because I had an important call with a colleague.
I finished my call and I came back to the place where my mother was but I didn't see her anywhere, I went back to the room I was occupying and lay down a little, it had been a long time since I had had any rest so it was the perfect opportunity to rest.
The evening
It was 8 pm when my mother told me that she wanted me to accompany her to a friend's house, I had nothing to do so I accompanied her, arrived in front of the house of the friend of my mother I had the impression to recognize this house, we entered and it is there that I remembered to have already come here, it was the house of the family of Dina, we made welcomed by the mother of Dina who made us sit. A few minutes later Dina came downstairs and was surprised to see us there but she smiled at me and I smiled back.
Dina: Good evening madam, Amir
We: Good evening
Mom: How are you doing my daughter?
Dina: I am fine, thank you, and you?
Mum: I'm doing fine
Dina: I'm really happy to hear that
Mom: The reason we are here tonight is to make it official for you and Amir.
Dina: I'm having a hard time following you.
Dina's mother: you are getting married Dina
