Part: 74 Missing Her

I climbed down the bed at five in the morning. Last night I slept for only two-three hours. I was just seeing her photos and regretting badly for hiding the truth from her. I'm missing her a lot. She had seen my message at the night only but didn't reply. I messaged her in the morning also.

Me: Good Morning, Princess. I'm sorry and I love you so much.

I kept the phone on the table after sending her a message. First I properly covered mom with the quilt and then I leaned down and placed a kiss on her forehead. I'm really blessed to have her.

After getting fresh, I sat on the sofa and engrossed myself in the office work. After every few minutes, I'm picking up my phone and checking that she saw my message or not.

I came into the kitchen to prepare breakfast for mom. I'm not sitting idle because I know if I sit idle, then I'll overthink about everything. I'm just saying to myself that I did the mistake and now living without her is my punishment which I have to accept.

I prepared poha for Mom, it's her favourite.

Now I'm gazing at Princess's photos on my phone, sitting beside Mom. She's still sleeping.

"Busy seeing her photos?" I heard her voice and instantly looked at her. She raised her brows.

"I'm missing her a lot," I said dejectedly. I moved my eyes down in guilt and added, "but I deserve it."

She placed her hand over my shoulder and squeezed it slightly. "Everything will be fine soon."

I looked at her and she asked, "Did you sleep at night."

"For a few hours. Now you get fresh, I'm bringing breakfast for you."

"What was the need to prepare breakfast for me? I would have prepared it myself." She asked.

"Can't your son prepare breakfast for you?" I questioned back and lifted my brows.

She placed her hand on my face and smiled at me. "I love you, my child. God bless you." She clasped my face and placed a kiss on my forehead.

"I love you more, Mom. And God has already blessed me with a mother like you and a beloved like my Princess. I hurt your daughter, but still, you are here with me and Princess sent you to take care of me when she was badly hurt because of me. I'm blessed to have you both in my life." I confessed wholeheartedly.

Her lips are curved to a beatific smile and tears of happiness are trickling down her cheeks.

"No tears, Mom." I wiped her tears and pulled her into my arms. I kissed her forehead.

"I'm also blessed to have you, my child." She said as we broke the hug. I smiled contentedly at her.

When she went to get fresh, I went to bring breakfast for her. I stepped into the room with the plate of Poha.

She's still in the bathroom. I assumed when I didn't find her in the room.

I kept the plate on the table and picked up my phone.

I again opened WhatsApp to check she saw my message or not. A smile flashed on my face as I saw that she's typing, but the next moment only, she went offline and my lips drew down in sadness.

"Wow, my favourite Poha." Mom said and I looked at her. She's sitting on the sofa.

"Come sit, we'll eat together." She patted the sofa, asking me to sit beside her.

"Mom, I have already had breakfast. You eat." I lied to her because I'm really not feeling like to eat anything. I don't know, Princess has eaten something or not?

She stood up and marched to me. She yanked my ear and chided me. "You will lie to your mother? I'm certain you haven't eaten anything."

"I'm sorry, Mom. I really don't want to eat." She twisted my ear and I screamed. "Aaa... I'm eating."

She finally left my ear. "Never lie to me again." She warned me sternly and I nodded my head meekly.

We settled down and fed each other lovingly.

"Please, make Princess also eat like this only after going back home." I requested her.

"Of course, I'll, don't worry." She reassured me.

I'm dropping back Mom to her home and hoping to see Princess on the window.

I stopped the car in front of her home, my gaze is fixed at the window of her room. I'm dying to see my Princess.

"I know you're going crazy to see her, come inside and meet her." She invited me to come inside but I denied it.

I nodded my head. "No, Mom, now I'll step into this house when she forgives me and when I win her trust back."

She looked at me sadly. "I just want to see both of you happy."

"Don't worry, Mom, I'll make everything fine between us." I reassured her after clasping her face.

"Take care, I'll meet you at night." She said.

"You don't have to come tonight, stay with Princess."

She shook her head. "No, I can't leave you alone at night after knowing that you get nightmares."

I opened my mouth to say something, but she showed me her eyes. "Now no arguments."  She shut my mouth and I nodded meekly.

Mom ambled into the house and I started the car, staring at the window of Princess's room. My heart is yearning to see her, just a glimpse only. Unluckily today is Sunday or else I would see her in the college.  I don't know how will I spend my whole day without seeing My Princess.

She came to the window and my eyes sparkled.

But I felt wretched because her face is pale and there is no shine in her eyes.

She looked down at me grimly. "Why did you do this with us?" She's asking me through her sorrowful eyes. My heart is aching seeing the pain in her eyes.

"I'm sorry." I mouthed to her. She went from there silently. A solitary tear trickled down my check mechanically.

"I promise you, Princess, that I'll win your trust back and bring a smile to your face." I murmured, grasping the steering.
