Chapter Twenty Three

Logan laugh a sarcastic laughter, he understand what is happening, Storm parent are playing with her mind, they provably are using the Bracelet to stop something and they want her to fear removing the bracelet. Logan made up his mind to find out the mystery behind the bracelet and while Storm parent want it on her always.

Storm notice Logan change in expression, she was afraid deep down maybe she had said the wrong thing, quickly she budge Logan to halt

“Are you okay?” she ask looking worried

“Oh!, I am very much okay Princess” Logan reply

Storm smile and they both continue till they are top of a valley and they both sit down, water was flowing beneath the valley, the sound of water gushing out of the water and the fresh air cause Storm to close her eyes and she let the air flow through her

"Hmmm I love this fresh air" Storm said and she lying down on the grass

Logan on his own was still on deep thought about what Storm had tell him, he knew that something is wrong and he determine to find out at all cost, even if it cause war between Ernie Kingdom and Maga Kingdom. Storm voice out beside him and break the silence

"Tell me about yourself" she said and she stand to sit on the grass

"Am just nobody" Logan reply shaking his head

"Yes you said that last night and I believe you, so I want the truth right now, so what really are you?" Storm ask again

"Okay am Logan......" Logan begin

He begin to weave all kind of lies just to conceal the fact that he is a Prince, Storm also listen with rapt attention, after like a minute

"So why come to steal a common sword from the Palace?" Storm ask

"Like I said in the beginning of my word, I am a mercenary and I came just because I am sent" Logan reply

"Then who sent you, what importance does the sword hold that you were after it?" Storm ask

"I don't know him the sender, I only receive the massage and money and I do the job" Logan said

Logan look at Storm directly in the face, and he found that Storm don't seems confused about him, quickly he change the topic

"Want to see around the Kingdom" he said

"Yes sure" Storm reply with enthusiasm and sarcasm

"Then be my guest" Logan said

For the second time he act like a gentleman and stretch his hand, Storm also take the hand and Logan lead her back to where the rest are staying. Jazz and Mira are sited together and was discussing, surely Jazz was having effect on Mira, because she was laughing the whole of her heart out with gladness, Mac was just alone and was just somewhere practizing sword display

"I still don't understand how you have this best swordsmen following you” Storm said staring at Mac

"A mercenaries need to have the best swordsmen around them" Logan said

"Well this is not our last meeting right" Storm said mindlessly

Logan heard Storm but he does not react to it, he keep quiet to himself, Storm become weary, he turn back to Logan and she make a stance like a Queen

“You dare not forsake me, you don’t dare stop seeing me, for the fact that you stab my hand, I order you to answer me when I want to see you, in fact you will not reject my call, and till I tired of using you, you are tied to me forever” Storm said altogether

"No Princess, I don’t say I will atop seeing you, in fact I will always come into the Palace to see you” Logan said and fold his arm

"See you try it" Storm said with smile

"Let's go see the people" Logan said

Storm nod her head, Logan whistle and immediately Mac and Jazz come around, Logan let them known their destination and they all decide to go as well, they all take the short cut and head to the township.

They make it to the township and Storm happy to be out for the first time was having fun, Logan slow down and he call Mira behind to have a chit chat with her, he ask all about Storm and Mira answer to the best of her knowledge, Logan finally heave after a long time of question and answer, he voice out

"I have this feeling that her parent are keeping things from her" Logan said

"I also have the same feeling as well, and I really wish to find out, but I don't know how to find out" Mira said

"I also wish to help her as well" Logan said

"What do I do to help, I don’t mind what it is I will do it?" Mira ask

"You wish to help her as well" Logan said and frown

"I love the Princess with my life, I was capture as a slave when I was thirteen, and was one of the people that King Mila use for sexual satisfaction, do you understand the trauma on a young girl, but on my first night to enter King Mila bed, Princess Storm save me and she single me out as her maid and since then I have been serving her, something I wish to do forever, so if it is possible I will die for Princess Storm" Mira said

Logan heaved “I have a plan but you might get hurt in the process” Logan said

“Getting hurt does not scare me any longer” Mira said

“Getting hurt is the least of your problem if you want to do what I want to try out, in fact you will not die, but you will visit King of Hades” Logan said

“In as much Princess Storm is free I don’t care

"Okay" Logan said

He signal Mira to come closet, Mira also come closer to Logan and Logan also whisper to her hearing and Mira nod her head in the end

“Is that all?” Mira ask with her eyebrow raised up

“Yes, if you begin with that you will be called so get ready for questioning” Logan said

"Okay if that will help her out, I will do it” Mira said

"It will surely help her out, we have to know if they are actually what they claim to be" Logan said

"Alright" Mira said

"Now go meet Jazz cause he is not that patient at all" Logan said
