"I don't care what she is, she is a Maid and a slave , and I won't waste my soldier on her" King Mila said, Storm want to say something, but she was cut short “this conversation is over" King Mila said, he turn to the Attendants around “get the Princess to her room and get her treated, when she is well get a new personal Maid for her" King Mila order
The Attendant did as order, they did take Storm away, but Storm was busy shouting to her father to help Mira, King Mila finally voice out again to the General behind him
"The search Party is no longer needed again, you can disband" he said
"Alright your Majesty" The General said and he walk away.
Storm was taken to her room, the physician attend to her broken ankle, they apply things to it and she was feeling better in the leg, the Attendant bath for her and she lie on the bed to sleep, even the physician give kill so she can sleep, but sleep elude her, her memory keep remembering about Mira, she keep remembering their times together, both happy and sad times, she remember how much Mira will do everything just to please her, finally she remember Mira bravery.
Something stir in Strom and tell her to rise, and ask her father for search party again, but she knew that her father will never listen to her, the day is gradually moving towards dusk already, the moon is gradually taking over from the sun, few stars are coming up already.
Yet Storm can’t stop thinking about Mira, she decide to try again, she stand up and head outside, she bump into someone who was coming in and it was her mother,She voice out
"Oh! Thank Heaven you are here Mother" Storm said
"I heard the news so I had to rush back home" Queen Jezebel said with a worried look
"Mother Mira is taken away" Storm said
"Your Maid" Queen Jezebel said and Storm nod her head “Why will they want your Maid?" Queen Jezebel ask again, her arms are spread out
"Its not Mira they want, I am the one the bandit want, but she guise as me so I can escape, if the bandit know she is not the Princess, they will kill her" Storm said
"That was brave of her" Queen Jezebel said
"I know Mira is brave, but her braveness will get her killed in my place, now Father won't risk a search party for her" Storm said
"My Lord will never do that, a search party for a Maid" Queen Jezebel said and she laugh
"Mother I know" Storm said
Queen Jezebel hold her daughter face and voice out “Storm, your Maid did her job very well, you are safe that is all that matters" Queen Jezebel said
"Mother Mira is more than a Maid to me, she alone understands me she is my only friend" Storm said looking angry
"Okay what do you want me to do?" Queen Jezebel ask
"Talk to father on my behalf" Storm said with a pale voice
"Like I said My Lord will never risk her soldier for a Maid" Queen Jezebel said shaking her head
"Mother please, Father only listen and compromise to you alone" Storm said
"Okay, I told you your father won't risk His soldier for a Maid, but I can still afford a searching party, so I will hire people to search for her" Queen Jezebel said
Storm embrace her mother happily “Thank You Mother" Storm said
"Now get yourself together and come for dinner" Queen Jezebel said
"No Mother, not until you find Mira" Storm said and she go back to her bed
Queen Jezebel just shake her head in pity, she leave Storm to herself, just when she is far away, she burst to laughter and head to the Royal table, King Mila was already eating, Queen Jezebel also sit and send all the Maids and Attendant away, Queen Jezebel report to the King about her discussion with Storm
"She loves her Maid so much" Queen Jezebel said finally
"Then time to make her forget her completely” King Mila said
"How do we do that, I had already promise Storm to find her" Queen Jezebel said
King Mila take a bite of meat and he voice out “We have the overall, let’s just stage her death, and that is final” King Mila said finally
"Thank you for bailing me out My Lord" Queen Jezebel said smiling.
Three days after Mira was kidnapped, Mira strength is gradual failing her, she already feel something moving in her two thighs and two arms, and every day Queen Jezebel keep visiting her and keep asking the same question everyday.
Even though Mira resolve is falling her, still she didn't say anything yet, she only insist on knowing nothing. On the night of the third day, Queen Jezebel enter Storm room looking very dejected, she was with the same cloth used by Mira to guise as Storm
"Am sorry Storm but Mira is dead" she said with a look of pity
"What?" Storm scream in weariness
"We search the whole forest and found this in the Arizone falls" Queen Jezebel said and show Storm the cloth
"This my cloth" Storm said and was checking the cloth out
"Yes, she must have fall in the river and get drown" Queen Jezebel said
"No Mira is not dead" Storm scream, Queen Jezebel try to pacify Storm, but she refuse “not until I see her body, Mira is not dead" Storm said and the next seconds she broke down crying.
