Zhuge Mingyue brought Beitang Xing’er next to Ye Futian and the others. Ye Futian and Hua Jieyu smiled as they shouted, “Second sister.”

“Good work, little brother.” Beitang Xing’er smiled.

“Why have you not joined the test this time?” Ye Futian asked.

“I don’t have much interest in the training.” Beitang Xing’er smiled as she answered, “I’m fine just tagging along with second sister here.”

The true test will be held tomorrow. You think you can manage?” Zhuge Mingyue asked with a smile. She knew what Ye Futian’s talents were like. His lower plane, however, would continue to prove to be a disadvantage.

Out of the ones left, which numbered to a little over a hundred, Ye Futian and Yu Sheng were the weakest in terms of levels. There were not that many grade nine nobles around, with most being grade eight or seven. There were some who had broken through into grade six Noble Plane during their journey, and the difference in level for these people would not be easy to cover. It was due to this that most did not expect much of Ye Futian. “Zhiqiu, why didn’t you keep trying for a bit?” Ye Futian asked Mu Zhiqiu. Mu Zhiqiu had answered the invitation of an elder from the Thousand Holy Islands and was prepared to train under their wing.

“Tomorrow’s test is going to be too intense. That senior was my brother’s teacher, and he said he was willing to take me in. I’ve fulfilled my goal of coming here,” Mu Zhiqiu answered softly.

Ye Futian nodded and did not pursue the topic any further.

Mu Zhifan, who was standing behind him, looked livid. Ye Futian had earned the right to enter the Holy Zhi Palace, yet he refused. That point alone said that Ye Futian had surpassed him.

He then said, “I heard the island is really beautiful. If you’re free, I guess it’d be a good idea to go walk for a bit. Qin Yin glanced at Ye Futian and sighed in her mind.

“He’s off just like that?” Yi Xiaoshi glared at him. The members of their group were not all that familiar with each other and had only gathered around Ye Futian. Very nice of you, running off with your girlfriend and all that.

Yu Sheng glanced at Yi Xiaoshi, and said, “You’re not telling me that you haven’t gotten used to this.”

Yi Xiaoshi’s eyes met Yu Sheng’s, and he answered, “I’m still getting used to it.” He had heard even back in the Cottage that Ye Futian was the kind who would be very nice with the sisters and harsh with the brothers. And it seemed to be a tradition of sorts.

“Brother Yuan, what do you say we get a place and spar for a bit?” the fat guy asked the ape beside him.

“I’m taken.” Yuan Zhan did not bother doing much with him, going in the direction of his father instead.

Gu Yunxi’s eyes looked rather dejected seeing Ye Futian walk away.

“Yunxi,” her brother called out to her.

“Yes.” Gu Yunxi turned around.

“What’s going on in your head?” Gu Ming asked. There was no way he would not have known what was actually in her head. It was just that Ye Futian was probably not the kind of person Gu Yunxi would be able to get her hands on.

“I was just thinking, well, what a couple those two are.” Gu Yunxi’s smile was beaming, seemingly very happy herself.

Gu Ming was dumbfounded. He had thought his sister would have felt down from all that she had just seen. He stared at her for a bit and found her smile stayed intact, and he felt very confused.

“My fox, please, I’ve told you, we’re just friends. Don’t go having weird thoughts about me and them.”

“Is that so?” Hua Jieyu smiled and continued, “And there I was thinking I’ve got my hands full and it’s a good thing I get someone else to look after you too.”

“You mean it?” Ye Futian blinked. However, he ended up swallowing those words right before they were about to come out of his mouth. But looking at how Hua Jieyu kept grinning, he said instead, “Well, not a problem. Loulan Xue was an easy one to look after. Just get her a servant girl or something.”

“That so?” Hua Jieyu murmured, “Well how about…”

“Jieyu, can you stop talking about other people?” Ye Futian pulled her into his arms. Hua Jieyu tilted her head to look at him, nodded for a bit and leaned on his chest, hugging him.

“I’ve had quite a lot to talk to you about before I got here. But now that you’re right in front of me, I don’t quite know what to say instead.” Hua Jieyu then asked gently, “How have you been for the past two years?”

“Umm, do I look like I’ve had bad days?” Ye Futian asked in an equally gentle tone.

“I think you were having a good time.” Hua Jieyu answered with a smile, thinking about all the pretty girls around him.

“What about you?” Ye Futian’s voice was flighty. He did not tell Hua Jieyu that he had actually died once.

“I have a big sister looking after me. Of course, I’m good.”

“Good thing to know then.” Ye Futian nodded. “I’m getting rather drowsy. How about we lie down for a bit.”

Hua Jieyu came out from his embrace and grinned at him. “Alright, we have a nice quiet place here. A good one for training.”

“Wait, what?” Ye Futian blinked. A good time and incredibly beautiful scenery like this, and you’re thinking about training? Gosh, you’re harsh.

“Haven’t you noticed that many have painted you as a target? The battle tomorrow will probably not be an easy one. If you want to enter the Holy Zhi Palace, you will need to do better than how you fought Xie Ji today. So, let’s see if you’ll have a breakthrough today,” Hua Jieyu said.

As such, I will go train right now.” Ye Futian added seriously, “Don’t hold me back.” He flashed and found a good spot to fold his legs on. He sat down and actually got ready for training.

Jieyu sat on a rock not far from he was, with her elbows on her knees and her hands cupping her chin, she watched silently at the side. The smile on her face never went away. I haven’t seen this guy for two years, and I think he somehow got even more handsome.
