2688 A Hint of Decadence

Anyhow, Han Zhuoling went out of the room.

Shi Xiaoya immediately went to shower.

Her legs were still sore. She felt like what a yoga beginner would feel the next day after doing yoga.

Shi Xiaoya did a light makeup rapidly, and when she thought of Han Zhuoling's suit, she took out a skirt of the same colour to wear.

They were going to sign their marriage certificate today and would need to take the photo that would go on the certificate.

So obviously, she had to wear a couple outfit with him.

After tidying up, Shi Xiaoya went out of the bedroom and saw that Han Zhuoling was sitting on the couch in the living room with his eyes closed.

Upon hearing the sound of her coming out, Han Zhuoling opened his eyes.

Shi Xiaoya looked at his bloodshot eyes and said, "I wanted to ask since just now. What happened to your eyes? Did you not rest well?"

He looked overindulged.

This look on his face gave off a feeling of decadence and wildness.

"I did not rest well." Han Zhuoling felt dispirited as he thought about his bloodshot eyes. "When I thought about signing the marriage certificate today, I was so excited that I could not sleep a wink last night."

Han Zhuoling looked at her. "I am not exaggerating, I really did not sleep."

"You stayed up until dawn?" Shi Xiaoya asked in surprise.

Han Zhuoling nodded. Perhaps because he did not have much energy, it felt like he was well-behaved.

"Wait here for me." Shi Xiaoya left for a while.

After a while, she brought eye drops.

"Lie down. I'll drip a few drops of this. It's effective against bloodshot eyes," said Shi Xiaoya. "It can also relieve your eye fatigue."

Shi Xiaoya said, frustrated, "What were you thinking? How can you not sleep the entire night?"

She suddenly thought that in comparison to him, she had been well asleep. Did that mean that she did not see this matter as something of great importance?

"I just wanted dawn to come faster. I couldn't wait and kept looking at the time, wondering why it's not dawn yet," said Han Zhuoling as he lay down with his head on Shi Xiaoya's lap.

Such a mature man also had childish moments like this.

Shi Xiaoya squeezed a few drops of the eyedrop and used a tissue to wipe away the excess that flowed out from his eyes. She made Han Zhuoling close his eyes for a while.

After a few seconds, Shi Xiaoya lowered her head and kissed him in between his eyebrows. "Done."

When Han Zhuoling opened his eyes, the red color in his eyes was almost gone.

However, this could only get rid of the color but could not replenish his energy.

So when they were leaving, Shi Xiaoya said, "I'll drive. You can sleep on the way, so at least you can feel better."

Shi Xiaoya did not know whether to laugh or cry. How could this man stay up the entire night because he was going to sign their marriage certificate?

Han Zhuoling did not decline her offer. It was rare that he could sit in the front passenger's seat and let Shi Xiaoya drive.

Shi Xiaoya set up the GPS and drove following the directions.

Han Zhuoling was indeed exhausted; he fell asleep as soon as he closed his eyes.

It was peak time when the two left and they were caught in a heavy traffic jam.

So they spent quite a while on the road.

Shi Xiaoya parked the car, but she saw that Han Zhuoling was sleeping like a log, so she was reluctant to wake him up.

But if she did not wake him up, this man would be angry.

"Zhuoling," Shi Xiaoya called a few times as she shook him.

"We've arrived?" Han Zhuoling asked right after he opened his eyes. His face still had a hint of confusion.

"Mhmm." Shi Xiaoya nodded.
