3045 She Looked Down on Wei Wucai
The sudden touch left Yan Zhiqing stunned.
Even when he continued pressing his fingers on her forehead, she remained stupefied.
Yet Wei Wucai still pretended to act like a gentleman. He appeared very worried as he asked, "Did I hit you too hard?"
Yan Zhiqing felt her entire face burning.
This burning temperature spread wherever he touched.
Her face, neck, and different parts of her body were burning.
Even her heart skipped a beat.

Yan Zhiqing lifted her head and saw Wei Wucai's worried expression.
She could see her face reflected in his eyes.
Through his dark pupils, Yan Zhiqing could see herself looking slow and dumb.
Did she really look this dumb in front of him?
Upon that thought, Yan Zhiqing regained her senses. She pulled back and touched her own forehead as she answered, "I'm fine. It doesn't hurt. It was just a light bump."
Wei Wucai stopped while things were still good, putting his hand away.
He was worried that Yan Zhiqing might see through his tricks.
Even so, he still appeared concerned as he said, "But your forehead is red."
Actually, her forehead had turned red because he kept rubbing it.
However, Wei Wucai decided to keep this a secret.
Yan Zhiqing said, "It's alright. It must have turned red because I kept rubbing it. I didn't feel anything at all."
Yan Zhiqing had no courage to mention that Wei Wucai had massaged her forehead.
If she had talked about it, she would recall what she had seen earlier.
She dreaded thinking about it again and was really scared that she might lose control of herself.
While Yan Zhiqing was not looking, Wei Wucai's eyes narrowed.

He had hit her on the forehead and had rubbed her forehead with his hand. He was touching her. How could she say that she felt nothing?
She clearly looked down on Wei Wucai!
She really thought he was gay!
"Good," Wei Wucai said calmly.
He smiled and said, "But I never thought that things could be so peaceful between us."
Yan Zhiqing recalled how incompatible they used to be, like water and fire.
She couldn't stand his existence, and he couldn't stand her existence either.
They never saw eye to eye and would glare at each other whenever they saw each other.
It was truly unexpected for them to remain calm around each other. They even became friends and were having food together here.

Everything changed so quickly that Yan Zhiqing herself was not mentally prepared.
"Yes… Yes…" Yan Zhiqing said in a flustered tone. "I did not expect this as well."
With this, she started laughing.
"I wonder if it could be chalked up to how nothing is permanent in this world," Yan Zhiqing said with a smile.
Wei Wucai was speechless.
Could the impermanence of the world be used to describe this?
Although he grew up at the Mount Lan Compound, he never stopped studying.
It was peculiar to chalk up this situation to the impermanence of the world.

The set was not open to outsiders.
