Chapter 13 Prove It

The drive was quiet. Then the car stopped at Mc Donald's drive thru.

"I said I'm not hungry." Louis said sharply but Liam did not listen to him and still ordered and bought food.

"Eat." Liam demanded placing the food on Louis' lap.

"I'm not-"

"Eat, Louis! Don't wait for me to shove the food down your throat, because I will if I have to." Liam glared at him.

Liam started the car again. Louis want to protest, but his stomach says otherwise. Why on earth does he have to get hungry now? Grumbling to himself, he began to eat the hamburger.

The car stopped again at a 24-hour drug store. Liam went out and entered the drug store. When he came back, he quickly pulled out a box of fever cooling gel sheets from the plastic bag.

"I don't need that." But Liam still plastered the fever-reducing gel on his forehead as if he hadn't heard him. "These are for kids!" Louis whined.

"Then, that's just right for you because you've been acting like a kid since earlier." Liam shot back.

Liam also took the medicine tablet from the bag and gave him one.

"It will help bring the fever down." Liam's face was serious. Even though against it, Louis accepted the medicine and took it. A bottle of mineral water was already prepared on Liam's other hand.

"Try to get some sleep." Liam said as he touched his forehead again. Louis just confusedly looked at Liam's eyes. "Go see your doctor tomorrow." There was genuine worry on Liam's face and somehow, with reason unknown to Louis, that felt like acid to him.

Why did it hurt seeing Liam so concerned about him? He avoided the man's gaze.

"So how have you been these past days?" Liam casually asked while driving.

Louis' forehead had been rid off of the fever-reducing gel sheet that Liam put on him earlier.

Louis just stayed staring outside the car's window and did not turn to look at Liam. "I'm okay."

"How's your injury? Does it still hurt?"

"Not anymore."

Louis felt Liam look at him then he heard him sigh. "I'm sorry about what I did and said in the hospital."

"It's okay." He answered flatly. Louis thought that Liam will stop interrogating him but he was surprised when the man suddenly stopped the car and parked it beside a street.

"Liar. It's not okay." Liam said heatedly.

Louis just continuously stared out the window. "I don't know what you're talking about." He said uninterestingly.

"Look me in the eye and tell me that it's okay." Liam commanded.

Louis' expression harden. Who is he to command him?

Liam gripped his shoulder and forced him to turn and face him. "Look at me."

He just set his eyes on Liam's shirt.

"I said look at me." Liam held his face.

Louis protested. "What the hell, this is annoying-"

"Look me in the eye, or I'll kiss you."

Louis froze, but only for a few seconds. "Come on. You should have known by now that I am not affected by threats and pressure. So let go of m..." Louis' words stopped in his throat when Liam leaned down towards him. Louis suddenly got nervous.

"Yeah, I know. That's why I said that."

Louis' eyes widen.

Before Liam had the time to stop himself, his mouth was already on Louis'. It was a joke at first. He just want Louis to look at him because it's crushing him inside that Louis isn't paying any attention to him. He had no plans to act on his threat, but when he touched and saw Louis' face in such close proximity again after so long.. for the life of him, he could not help himself. He wanted more.

Louis' mouth was partly open because he was in the middle of a sentence. So Liam took advantage of that, and invading Louis' mouth became easier.

He felt Louis stiffen as his tongue touched Louis' and it made him want to pull back. It's not in Liam's vocabulary to kiss someone unwilling, but again, he found himself acting against his better self as he groaned and deepened the kiss.

He kissed him selfishly, not caring about Louis' hands pushing at his chest. Liam tightened his grip on Louis' nape and pulled him as close to him as he possibly could. Louis' mouth tasted chocolate and it made Liam want to eat him whole. Louis pushed him again, harder this time. Liam let go.

"What!" Liam grumbled as if what he did was just perfectly normal.

"You..." Louis' lips were swollen red, his face was crimson-colored; his amazing sea-green eyes were wide. Damn, he' s beautiful.

"What Lou? Afraid to let go?" Liam's voice was mocking. He leaned forward and touched his lips to Louis' left ear. "Always playing safe, eh? Afraid to kiss me back?" He bit his ear lobe and started to lick at his jaw.

"I... I am n-not!"

He got turned on even more by Louis' stuttering. He could tell he was affected by the kiss too. He took advantage of the opportunity- he began kissing his way to Louis' lips again.

"Prove it." He challenged before he took over Louis' lips again.

At first, Louis was still stiff. But Liam really did not mind as long as Louis was not pushing him away anymore. Then, Louis' lips started moving against him. Liam pulled away involuntarily.

"W-what? D-did I do something wrong?" There was confusion in his cerulean eyes.

Wrong? Hell no! For Liam, when it came to kissing him back, Louis could not do anything wrong.

"No, just... do it again." He groaned as he kissed Louis again. Louis was clumsy, awkward and totally clueless on how to kiss him back. Yet, he was perfect for Liam. If he'd known that kissing Louis felt like this, he would've done this a long time ago.

Liam tilted Louis' head to deepen the kiss even more as he twined his fingers in Louis' soft hair and pulled him closer. Based on Louis' responses, he might've guess that this is Louis' first kiss. Or if not, the boy's first experience was lousy. He was way better than the freaking shithea-

Wait a minute! Liam abruptly cut off the kiss.

"I'm your first kiss, right?" Liam asked, still panting. Louis looked at him, dazed. "I'm your first kiss, right?" He repeated, more impatiently this time.

Liam doesn't know and understand why that detail is important to him. He felt very possessive of Louis and he wanted to haunt the bastard who took the privilege of being Louis' first kiss.

Zayn entered his mind. Oh, he really wouldn't mind hurting that asshole…

Louis still wasn't himself. "W-what do-?"

"Never mind." Liam captured Louis' lips again. He would just ask him about it some other time. His need to taste Louis' lips again was greater than his need to know the answer to that question.

A loud noise outside caused Liam to be pushed away by Louis.

"What now?" Liam protested.

Louis' eyes were wide and shining with unshed tears, like he just realized what they were actually doing. Before Liam could even react, Louis was out of his car.

"Shit!" Liam cursed as he also jumped out of the car to run after him. As if fate contrived against him, a cab passed and Louis immediately got inside it.

Liam massaged his temple.

"What now!?" Liam asked himself, pissed off.
