Charlie
All I saw is complete and utter darkness, I could feel my body but I wasn't able to do anything about it. I could hear something, or someone talking but I still couldn't open my eyes and make a noise. I could feel soft tingles on my hand, they felt warm like someone was holding them. All I wanted was for them to let go. I still struggled to try to open my eyes but my hearing started coming back slowly.
"Charlie?" Someone said, I still can't make out the voice.
"Charlie? Wake up baby, please?"
I slightly cringed at the 'baby' it didn't sound right coming from whoever that was. I finally got the strength to open my eyes, slightly before the light of the room burned them to the point I closed them again.
"Turn the light off," I say to the person that's in there with me. They quickly run away and do as I told them.
"There you go, baby, now open up those beautiful eyes, let me see you."
I finally opened my eyes and looked and stared at bright blue eyes.
"Alpha Tyler." I coughed out and looked away to try and hid my annoyance. He growled at me when I said his name which made me scoot as far away from him as I possibly could.
"No, it's just Tyler."
He lifted his hand in surrender trying to calm me down. I am really surprised at his sudden change of heart, why does he care about me? Why is he here...now and not with someone else more important? I just stare at him in complete confusion not knowing what to say. He could tell that I didn't want to talk so he started to speak instead.
"I know you're probably thinking what am I doing here right?"
Ding ding ding.
"Well, I'm here to apologize, it wasn't right of me to treat you the way I did. You're my mate, and I didn't realize how important you were to me until I saw you here in the hospital. I am going to win you back. Just like how I said all of this before, before you know, this happened. Gosh, I wish Kenny wasn't so oblivious to the fact that he was hurting you. Which shows he isn't right for you."
At this point, he was just ranting and going on and on about how he was sorry and how Kenny was just terrible...speaking of him.
"Where's Kenny?" I ask cutting Tyler off of his rant.
"Why do you want to know."
As soon as he said that he tensed and moved away from me, bawling his fist in and out.
"It's just a question," I said and leaned into the bed more, trying to make more distance between us.
"Are you going to forgive him?" He almost yelled at me asking and I flinched slightly.
"I don't know," I said to try and calm him down.
He was scaring me and I didn't want to get hurt again. I looked down at my torso and it was wrapped in cloth and I could feel the stitches. Damn, I needed stitches. They were that deep? Oh goddess Kenny, what did you do? I thought to myself as I pushed myself up on the bed.
Some time had passed and Tyler was sitting in the chair on the other side of the room. Keeping his eyes on the ground. It was awkwardly silent between us. There was a knock on the door and thankfully a doctor walked in.
"Hey there, Charlie, I am Dr. Olsen. I just wanted to check on you and see how you are feeling." He walked in a sat down at the edge of my bed.
"I guess I feel fine. I can't feel anything though." I told him.
"We gave you some meds that numb the pain, but they will wear off soon, and when they do you'll be fully healed by then so no worries about the pain." He smiled at me, Tyler was intensely listening and watching the doctor's every move. I just nodded at him.
"Okay, well since you are awake you are free to go. Just take it easy. Try and go take a nap if you can."
"Thank you, Doc." Dr. Olsen smiled at me and walked back out. He gave me a reassuring smile and walked out of the room leaving Tyler and me alone. Again.
"Here I brought you some clothes and other necessities for you," Tyler said handing me the bag that he grabbed out of thin air. He got up and set it at the end of the bed still keeping his distance away from me.
"You picked this out?" I asked him, there was no way this guy could have done that.
"Well not really, my mom did," Tyler said and I saw his cheeks heat up slowly.
"Oh."
I slowly pushed myself up and step by toward the bathroom. I could tell that Tyler was fighting his instinct to come to help me. I took out the brush and brush my hair which was all over the place.
'Stay away from them. I'm warning you.'
The voice was back. I sighed in annoyance because it was being vague and I didn't feel like pressing the matter.
'It will make sense, very soon
'What will?' I give up, I need answers.
'Why it feels off.'
'Okay. Whatever you say Sadie, or wolf, or mind. I don't know what you are.'
'Stay away from them, they will hurt you again.'
Then just like that she was gone. I rolled my eyes and finished getting ready as slowly as possible so I didn't mess up my stitches. That's when I started to hear all too familiar voices starting to yell at each. I sighed in annoyance and tried to ignore it. But they just got louder and louder.
"What the hell is the problem now?!" I yelled out as I ripped the door open.
"You're idiots."
