There was an alarm blaring and I groaned and rolled over to turn it off. I felt Jedidiah stretch and slowly get out of the bed leaving me cold. "Jay, please come back," I mumbled trying to grab him. "First day of school, love. We can't be late on the first day." He said pulling me out of the bed. I groaned and reluctantly got up too. "Morning," I said grabbing him and pulling him into a hug. He leaned down and gave me a sweet kiss on my lips. This was probably the only physical touch I will get from up him until 5. "Being away from you is going to be hard. Maybe I could sneak in your office after school is over?" I asked him. "Yes, please." I gave him another small kiss and walked to my room to get dressed. I grabbed a pair of light-wash mom jeans and a coral mock turtle neck that was short sleeve. I brushed my hair and decided to have it straightened today. I needed a haircut it was right to my waist in length and it was getting hard to handle. It took 20 minutes for me to straighten my hair. I did my mascara and some lip gloss and put on white vans.

I thought this would be a great first-day outfit. Bellamy warned me how I have been the buzz of the school since they found out I would be enrolled. Bellamy made me an Instagram account and it caught on. I went onto the app this morning and I got 10,000 followers overnight and I am slowly getting more. I grabbed my backpack and my keys and headed out of my room. I walked back into Jedidiah's room and he just looked so handsome. He was wearing a white button-up dress shirt. A pair of dark blue slacks and a brown belt and brown dress shoes. His hair was styled differently, but I loved it. I saw he saved his face and I could see his amazing jawline. "Wait, I thought you were a gym teacher?" I said leaning against the door frame. He just looked over and smirked at me. "Monday, Wednesday, and Friday is health class. Tuesday and Thursday are fitness days." He said as he grabbed his suitcase and keys. "Oh okay, I see." He walked up to me and pushed my hair behind my ear. "So beautiful." He made me blush and I couldn't help it.

"Do we have to ride in separate cars?" I pouted and leaned into him. "That's what your mom says, and the principal. I know this sucks but come to my office during lunch if you can. And if not then I will see you during your free period if you want. We just have to get through the day and then it will be me and you alone tonight. I promise." I leaned up on my tiptoes and gave him a small kiss on the lips. "Can I get some loving before you go?" I asked him. He looked at me and laughed. "Loving? What do you mean?" He asked me. "You know what I mean. I'm feeling a little frisky." I said blushing and looking down as he continued to laugh at me. "You're too cute. But I can't right now. I need to go, I can't be late on my first day." I rolled my eyes and pulled away and decided to play a little game. "Fun, I will just go get it from someone else." I was about to walk out the door. But Jedidiah grabbed my arm and pushed me up against the wall and stuck his head in my neck. He started kissing my neck and biting. My hands went to his neck pulling him closer to me. "Mine." He growled lowly. "Mine only, do you understand?" He looked up at me and I saw that his eyes were black and his wolf was almost surfacing. "Yes." He smashed his lips into mine devouring me, but he pulled away too quickly leaving me wanting more. "Come on, I will walk you to your car." He grabbed my hand and walked us out of the room. Alright, here we go.

After 45 minutes I made it to the school and I brought Kailani with me. Jedidiah was already here, he left before me. We were still sitting in the car because we were waiting for Bellamy. "I'm so nervous." She said, awe the poor girl was shaking. "Hey, it's okay. At least you have your mate to comfort you. Mine is a teacher and I have to pretend that he isn't." She smiled softly and nodded. A car pulled up next to us and it was Bellamy. Kailani and I grabbed our bags and got out of the car. "Are you ladies ready??" She basically yelled at us. "Ready as I will ever be." She smiled at us and we started to walk in the huge building. There were many people already smiling at us and saying hi. I felt so popular. We walked in and went to the main office. River was in there already and so was Jedidiah. I almost ran to him and gave him a hug but Bellamy grabbed my arm and reminded me. He and I made eye contact and I gave him a small smile and he gave one to me too. There was another teacher I assume talking to him and I swore she was flirting.

We were told to sit and wait for the principal and that he would be with us shortly. Which was good I needed to hear what this girl had to say to my mate. "Welcome aboard. I am so glad you are joining us, Mr. Alister." The lady said. She had short curly brown hair and bright green eyes. She was pretty. "Oh please call me Jedidiah. And thank you I am pretty excited, but just a bit nervous." He said laughing. Why was he laughing? No, no laughing. "Don't worry, I will be right here every step of the way." Then she put her hand on his arm. I felt a rage bubble in me and I was about to attack her. Bellamy could tell and she grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I could see that Jedidiah noticed that I was upset, so he stepped away from her hand. I just wanted to grab his face and kiss him in front of everyone. "Rhen, Kailani, I have your schedules ready." All three of us got up and walked up to the office with the principal. "So these are your schedules for the year. River and Bellamy will escort you to your classes and each one will be in at least one of them. I hope you have a great year." He smiled at us and we walked out. I looked down at it and saw that I had a class with Jedidiah and I was so excited.

I was now following Bellamy through the hallway and she brought me to a locker that was by hers. She was talking to a girl and they seemed close. "Bell, this is my best friend Taylor. She is amazing like you really don't understand." Bellamy was glowing and happy, I have never seen her like this before. Then there was a very handsome guy that walked up and wrapped his arm around Bellamy. "And this is my friend Jonathan." The way she was looking at him made it seem like it was more than a friend. Now I am very confused. I will ask her later, maybe this is why I haven't seen Vincent in a while. "Hi, I'm Rhen" I said to them. "Oh, I know who you are, trust me we are family. I'm so glad that you are safe and can finally breathe and be one of us normals" He said, I looked at him confused when he said, family. That's when I didn't notice River was with us until he started talking. "Rhen, he is our cousin." He started laughing at me and I felt so bad. "Oh my goodness I am so sorry. I had no idea. I really wasn't allowed to meet people." I have never been so embarrassed in my entire life. "No, don't worry. I get it, cuz." Jonathan said smiling at me.

I looked at my schedule and saw that I had my first class with River and I was happy. "River, will you walk with me to class? We have the same one." I asked him. He smiled at me and nodded. Kailani went with Bellamy, Jonathan, and Taylor to class. River and I haven't spent much time together since we found our mates and I missed him. He is my best friend, he was my only friend. He put his arm out and I wrapped mine around him and we started walking together. We were twins but we didn't look much alike. I looked like our mom and he looked like our dad. "We should hang out soon. I miss you." I told him. There were many people talking to us as we walked past them. It was very welcoming. "I miss you too Runny." I rolled my eyes at the nickname. He would call me that when we were younger because I would get sick easily from not being around people a lot. Therefore the runny nose. "We should hang out this week, like get lunch." I offered. "Yeah, of course. Ever since we found our mates and the whole Leaves situation, I have been feeling distant from you. You're my best friend, you know that right?" He asked me. I nodded and leaned my head onto his shoulder and he kissed my forehead. "We are here. I promise you, after today you are going to want to drop out." He laughed and I laughed too. Okay, here we go.

It was finally lunchtime, and River was right, school sucked. But my last period is with Jedidiah and I haven't seen him all day and Hetty and I was both going crazy. I was at a lunch table with River, Bellamy, Kailani, Taylor, and Jonathan. "So, Rhen how was your first day?" Jonathan asked me as he took a bite of pizza. "So far, so terrible." Everyone laughed at me. "It has been okay, I made some friends and that has made it better. I am just ready to see my mate already." I didn't realize what I said until after I did. "Oh yeah, who is your mate?" Jonathan asked. He is family so it's okay for me to tell him, right? And Taylor, she is great and we have been getting along. I can trust them. "Well, you can't say anything to anyone else. But the new teacher, Mr. Alister he is my mate. I knew him before so it's not like we just met." I told them. "Oh yeah, I saw him this morning. He is hot." Taylor said and it caught me off guard a bit. "Oh yeah?" I asked her. "I mean, I heard almost every girl talking about him. He is the big man on campus now." When she said that my heart was beating fast.

We barely were able to text each other and I was getting frustrated. I haven't been away from him like this since I was taken over by Leaves. I got so used to him that now I am without him, it is hard to focus. And now that I know all of these girls here want him, makes my anxiety kick in. And we haven't even marked each other so to them, he is single. "I see. Thank you for the information." I said giving her a small smile. "I didn't mean to upset you, Rhen." I could see Taylor start to freak out in her eyes. "I'm not upset at you. Thank you for telling me. I'm just mad at the situation." She gave me an understanding look and continued eating her salad. "Jedidiah is not worried about anyone here. Only you." Kailani said. They were right, I needed to relax and calm down.

Just trust me. We are going to make Jedidiah make him realize what he missed all day.

It was finally the last period and it was with Jedidiah. I feel they did this on purpose just to torture me! Thankfully we all had this class together. I walked in and sat down in the desk that was across from his. My heart was beating fast and I couldn't wait to see his face. I grabbed the banana and the sucker out of my bag and set it on the desk with a notebook. The bell rang and he still wasn't here, where the heck is he? Doesn't he know that I was in this class? Or maybe he doesn't. Suddenly I started to smell his scent and my heart started to race. The door opened and he walked in and our eyes met immediately. I knew there was a huge smile on my face and I knew I needed to calm down but I couldn't. I saw his lips turn on the corner but I knew he needed to keep a casual face. I don't remember him looking this good this morning. I looked around and I saw a lot of other girls checking him out and lowering their shirts and I wanted to snap at them, but I couldn't.

He cleared his throat and stood in the middle of the class. "Hello everyone my name is Mr. Alister. Since today is my first day, it will be a question and answer type of day. Just so that you all can get to know me. So who has questions?" Hands shot up all over the room and it was mainly all girls and I felt the jealousy rise in me. He called on one hand and she was pretty, but I was prettier. "How old are you?" She asked him. "I am 24." He said, and then he called another girl. "Do you miss America?" She asked him. "Sometimes, but my mate and my sister are here and I can't imagine being without them." He looked at me when he said that and my heart melted. Then a red-head raised her hand and I remember seeing her from somewhere but I can't remember. "Hi there, so your mate. Is it like something you really want?" I had to hold in the urge to growl. Amber? Isn't that Vincent's girlfriend? I am confused. I decided this would be the perfect time to tease. I grabbed the banana and slowly peeled it open. Jedidiah noticed and his eyes were flickering back over to me. I took the banana into my mouth very slow and bit down onto it. His eyes flashed black, but if I blinked I would have missed it.

I could smell that his friend was slowly coming to life and he went and sat down in the desk to hide it. He was still answering questions I decided to pull out the big guns, the sucker. I put it in my mouth and started to suck slowly. I made sure he was watching and I could sense he was getting uncomfortably aroused. His breathing changed and became a little heavier. Meaning my plan was working. The bell rang and everyone packs their bags up and started leaving. I got up and walked by the desk slower than the other students and got his attention. "Nice to meet you, Mr. Alister." I winked at him and I heard him growl lowly. I knew by the time he got home I was going to be in a lot of trouble.
