CHAPTER 15

Madison's POV

I'll be leaving for New York today to finalise the deal with Clinton Corporation. I just hope he doesn't get too bossy since I'll be going to his company.

"Mary, do you think he's going to act the way he did to me at the party?"

"Boss, it's going to go just fine, if we don't turn up late for the meeting."

"I do hope so because it is really one of my greatest achievements to collaborate our company with a multinational company in the whole world."

"It will be boss, let's hope for the best."

"I got the most expensive gift ever from my parents as a result of meeting with the taste of that company so that alone is more than enough and no matter how he acts towards me, I'll accept it but if it goes beyond, I'll lose it."

"You really deserve it boss for not relenting on your dreams to work with the company and I know you won't react back to Mr Mark no matter what happens because it isn't in your nature."

"That's right, Mary, I don't like troubles but I won't sit and watch a man look down on me just for my company. I must protect my dignity just like he will do anything to protect his."

"That's right boss."

"Less I forget, we're going to the orphanage to donate food and clothes to the orphans today."

"No problem, Miss Madison."

After leaving the orphanage, I set home to get ready for the trip. I still don't get why he wants the meeting to be held at his company, whichever way, I must make sure I leave him and all his investors speechless with my presentation.

I've put all my best in seeing the products are of high quality and great value.

"My angel, how did the donation go?" Dad inquired, the moment I walked into the house.

"It went well dad. I'm glad all the kids were happy."

"I'm so proud of you, princess."

"Thank you, dad. I need to take a nap before preparing for the trip tonight."

"Alright honey. You do need rest."

"Where's mum?"

"She's taking a shower."

"Okay, I'll see her later." I replied and took the stairs that lead to my room.

The moment I walked inside the room, I dropped off my bag and the file containing the preparation for the meeting and unclad myself before walking to the shower.

In no time I was done, I came out and saw mum on my bed going through the files.

"Good evening mum. When did you show up?"

Evening baby. I showed up not quite long and decided to wait for you."

"Oh...Dad told me you were taking a shower."

"Yes but I'm all done. How did the charity fund go?"

"It was great and fun." I answered and walked to my wardrobe to settle for the dress to put on.

"So... anything you want to say to me?"

"Yeah...I mean not really." I walked up to her on the bed.

"I guess I'll go with yes. Tell me honey, what's wrong?"

"Should I tell you something, mum?"

"Sure, what is it?"

"The CEO of that company is so rude and proud of himself. I'm just scared he would do something irrational to make me react and cut the deal off."

"Don't say such words baby. No matter how rude he's going to be towards you, never try to speak back the same way he will do to you. It only means you're trying to exhibit the same attitude as him and you do know where that leads?"

"Okay mum. I'll try my best to keep calm. Thanks for the advice."

"You're welcome darling and never forget, treat him nice and polite to prove you have nothing to lose acting that way. I trust you will make the best of the presentation to their expectation."

"Thanks mum. I'll give it my very best."

"I'm sure there's more you want to say to me."

"Oh please mum." I found myself laughing.

"We're both adults and can't lie to each other. I know the C.E.O of that company is handsome and you were surprised when you saw him?"

"Mum!"

"Yes, I know my daughter pretty well. You don't always want to admit to it."

"Seriously mum!"

"Of course, baby. I just wish you can change your decision of how you view men and probably get close to this C.E.O maybe you guys might even be a perfect match."

"My decision is finally and never will I have anything to do with that rude man. He's just like the rest."

"Honey, you need to..."

"Mum, please." I cut in and walked to my dressing room to get changed.

I already told her countless times I am happy being alone without any man in my life and nothing can change my decision.

After dressing up, I walked back to the room and didn't see her. I know I have hurt her feelings but it's my life we're talking about and I can't take any risk again.

I walked to the bed and began to finish up some contract deals of some companies with my laptop to burn time.

Mark's POV

I want to see how Miss Williams will arrive early for the meeting and convince my investors, their products are worth demanding and of valuable quality to people. And I must say, she's pretty and beautiful but that strange rude lady who bumped into me is prettier and super brave as a lioness.

I need to get her background information as soon as possible because I am really curious to know her.

"Boss,I've got all the information about that lady." Leo stated, jolting me out of my spacing.

"Where's the details?"

"It's all in this envelope." He added dropping it on my desk.

"I hope it is accurate?"

"Yes, my lord."

"Good. You can go and get the other jobs I assigned to you ready as well." I dismissed him.

"Okay, King."

I need to know everything about her in and out. I opened the envelope to see a picture of her dressed like an angel in her youth with a man and a woman standing behind her, who are none other than her parents.

I went through the other pictures and saw one of my investors, Mr Andrew Smith.

"How is he related to her?" I wondered and continued going through the rest of the pictures which are of her and finally laid my eyes on the files containing all the answers I needed.

I stream through the file going through each without leaving any cover untouched.

Her name is Casabella Smith, an orphan who lost her parents at the age of seventeen but Andrew, her uncle took her under his care but took possession of her wealth and turned the poor lady into a slave.

This is really interesting, I must say. Andrew is one hell of a cunning bastard to have turned his late brother's daughter into a servant and took her father's possession. He's really a douchebag and a backstabber with all his brother gave him.

Her life story is really tragic but how come she's so fearless even going through all the problems she's facing from Andrew and his family? I guess she was born to be fearless and courageous.

I know I could trust Leo in getting his hands dirty to get all the information about her because no one knows how she's been treated in the house. But with power and fame, I got all the information I needed on her.

I need to keep an eye on her and Andrew. He's really a sneaky son of a bitch, using someone's wealth and making the poor lady go through a lot of pain but that's not my problem, it's between their family.

But the next time she crosses paths with me acting rude, I'll show her where she stands because I'm a powerful man no one will ever want to mess with when they know my real identity.

Madison's POV

"I'm all set. Dad, mum wish me luck on the preparation and to come back to you both in good shape."

"I wish you success princess and you're going to come back safely to us."

"Thank you dad."

"Great success ahead and my blessings are always with you. Remember what we discussed, no matter what happens, keep calm, okay?"

"Sure mum, thanks." I noted and gave her a warm passionate hug.

"Won't you give your dad a hug also before you leave?"

I ran into his arms, "Sorry dad. I'll miss you so much."

"I will miss you too." He uttered, hugging me back before breaking free.

"Let's get going, Mary, before we miss our flight."

"Okay boss. Bye Mr and Mrs Williams."

"Bye dear." They replied and we headed out of the house to the garage and headed straight up to my Bugatti La Voiture Noire and saw my new driver waiting.

Without any further delay, Mary and I got in as he took off to the airport.

In less than thirty minutes, we arrived at the airport and did the necessary procedures and got on the plane.

In no time, we are going to arrive in New York City, where my parents and I spend most of our summer and Christmas holidays together as a family.
