CHAPTER 21
Casabella's POV
I was done with the chores and was waiting for the makeover artists to show up and get everything ready.
I think I am over taking things, it is just past 4 in the evening, I'm sure they will be here soon. I peeled off my clothes and tied a towel around my body and walked to the bathroom to take my shower.
A lukewarm bath will be nice to feel refreshed and lessen the pain I'm feeling all over my body.
I turned on the bath water to hot and added a little bit of warm water in it and got inside the bathtub feeling the hotness of the water entering through my body.
It had been a while since I had taken time to shower with hot temperate water. I closed my eyes, relaxing all my muscles and forgetting my environment.
I wish my life will just turn into the way I have perfect it to be. It would have been a dream come true but at this moment that I don't know where to start searching for the will papers is another problem on its own from making the dream a reality but all hopes ain't lost because I still have time to search for it before my uncle gets back from the business trip.
I finished cleaning myself up but thinking of a plan to lay out and find the will papers in Lora and my uncle's room when I heard a knock on the door which disputed the thought.
"Yes, who is there? " I inquired, getting out of the water and using a towel to clean up the water on my body before putting on a bathrobe.
"Good evening Ma'am. We're the makeover artists Mr Jace sent to get you ready." A female lady responded.
"Okay, just give me a minute." I answered her and picked up my brush and applied a paste on it and brushed my teeth as fast as I could.
After doing all the necessary stuff, I walked out on my bathrobe with a towel around my head and met four ladies in the room.
"Good evening ma'am." They greeted me.
"Good evening. I'm sorry for wasting your time."
"It's no problem ma'am. Are you ready so we can start?" The lady who I guess knocked on the door said.
"Sure. I'm more than ready." I replied and urged them to the nightstand beside my bed and took my seat.
"Ladies, shall we begin." She stated to her fellow colleagues and they nodded and brought out all their makeup kits.
"We are ready, boss." They replied to her.
"We're starting ma'am."
"Okay." I nod as they begin to do their wonders on my face.
I can't predict how long it took them to finish up but when they asked me to look at myself in the mirror I was more than shocked with my reflection.
I was looking like another person entirely and was mesmerised by their wonderful work on my face. They sure know how to make someone look good.
"You're indeed beautiful ma'am." The lady confessed.
"Thank you."
"My pleasure. We're all done and would like to take our leave."
"Alright, thanks."
"You're welcome madam." She responded and they packed up and left.
I stood up from the chair and went to pick up the dress from my wardrobe along with the heels.
"You are going to look spectacular and make those witches go wide and crazy." I thought to myself and chuckled.
I wore the dress on after putting on the dress, I picked the heels and wore it on and walked to my mirror to see my reflection.
"The dress was made just for me because it fits perfectly to my body."
"You're looking so cute. This is how you're supposed to be looking everyday if your parents were still alive but once you find the will papers, you're back to looking like a queen." A strange voice whispered to my head.
I hope so and make my uncle pay dearly along with those witches.
From tomorrow, I'll start my search for the will papers and once I find it, I'll first of all take it out of this house.
Nobody must know where it is hidden and once it is in my possession I think I know who I can entrust with it. But finding it is the big goal right now.
Madison's POV
"Maddy, are you not done?"
"I'm done." I replied and walked out from the bathroom.
"The makeover artists are downstairs waiting for us."
"Perfect. Tell them to come up so they can start up immediately."
"Alright." She answered and walked out of the room.
I walked up to my bed and picked up my phone to see three missed calls from Alexa.
I guess I spent too much time in the shower and didn't hear the call and I know she's going to get pissed off for not picking the call and might think we're not going to come to her party.
I dialled her number and called her but the moment she picked it up, she yelled.
"Maddy, where are you? Why aren't you picking up my calls?
"Hey Alexa, I was taking a shower."
"Are you not turning up with Mary again? "
"Of course, we are."
"Are you sure babe?
"Of course." I chuckled.
"Please, don't be late, okay."
"Alright see you both at the party." She uttered and ended the call which got me laughing as Mary and about six ladies walked in with her.
"Good evening madam" They greeted me and I nodded in response.
"Babe, we need to get ready. Alexa is expecting us soon."
"Seriously! We need to hurry up." She stated.
"Let's start with the make-up." I urged the ladies as Mary and I both sat on the bed.
After the makeover, we dressed up in the same wine lace dress and the same heels with matching purse and head downstairs after taking another reflection of ourselves.
We walked outside and met the bodyguards waiting for us beside the car.
"Good evening madams"
"Good evening." I replied as one of them opened the door.
I got on while Mary got on the other side as they all got into the other cars before taking off.
"Do you know where we're heading?" I asked the bodyguard in the front seat.
"Yes madam. We're going to miss Alexa's mansion." He answered and I nod in response.
Casabella's POV
I walked down stairs to see Jace waiting for me in the living room.
"You're looking extremely gorgeous and beautiful."
"Thank you."
"You're welcome. Aunt Lora, we will be heading out now." He said to Lora who was moody.
"Okay and please, don't stay too long with her."
"Sure, I won't. Thank you, Aunt."
"See you later, aunt." I smirked and she frowned without replying.
"Shall we proceed." He uttered and brought forth his hand which I placed as we proceeded outside the mansion leaving Lora beyond angry while Annie was probably in her room crying her eyes out.
We walked outside to his car and he opened the door for me which I got in and he did the same.
"Thank you."
"Enough of that already." He chuckled.
"Okay." I answered as he initiated the engines and hit the road.
After some couple of minutes in silence, he broke the silence with a question.
"Can I know more about you? For the past few weeks I haven't gotten the chance to know you better."
"That's because those witches don't want me close to anyone and I don't make friends with my enemy's friends." I murmured to myself.
"Did you say something?"
"Not really. Uhm... where should I start?"
"Feel free. I want to know your likes, dislikes and lots more."
"Well, I lost my parents when I was seventeen and ever since then I have been living with my uncle but..." I paused when I remembered I can't tell him how they have been treating me.
"But what?"
"Never mind."
"Okay, if you say so but tell me something. Do you have a boyfriend?"
"No, I don't. Why do you ask?"
"It's nothing. I just want to be clear with something."
"Okay. Can I ask you something as well?"
"Sure."
"Why did you want me to follow you to the party? You could have looked for someone else, why me?"
"Because I like you. Ever since I met you, I couldn't get your image out of my head and when I met you again, I was beyond happy and believed fate wants us to meet again." He declared with his eyes focused on the road.
"Oh,my goodness!" Is this really happening right now or is it just a dream?" I wondered, staring at him.
"Are you alright? I'm sorry to utter those words to you without considering how you will feel about it."
"Well, I don't know what to say. I just got stunned hearing you say those words. Also, I don't want to be in any relationship yet."
"No problem, I understand."
"I don't mind if we can be friends."
"Yeah, I like that idea."
"Friends." I stretch my hand forth to him.
"Friends." He responded and shook hands with me.
