The room immediately went silent.
Everyone was dumbstruck.
They could not believe their eyes.
‘Did that student… just kick Young Master Lu?
‘This… This is a rebellion!’
Who was Young Master Lu but the son of the highest-ranked government official in the province? He was the Crown Prince of Province Z! Everyone who met him regarded him with fear and respect, but that kid kicked him without hesitation.
Did the kid have a death wish?
Dean Fu nearly burst out with maniacal laughter when he saw that, but he managed to stop himself in time.
“Tang Hao, did you just…”
Jiang Wanying’s expression changed. Her face turned pale with fear.
“What are you afraid about, Teacher Jiang?” Tang Hao said impassively.
His face was calm, without any hint of panic.
Young Master Lu’s background was bigger than he had expected, but that did not intimidate him.
However, things would become quite tricky.
Young Master Lu, whose name was Lu Bin, got to his feet. His face was contorted with anger.
No one had beaten him before. That was his first time!
His eyes glared at Tang Hao and yelled, “How dare you hit me, you lowly peasant? Don’t you know who I am?”
Tang Hao rolled his eyes at him.
Lu Bin’s eyes were almost spewing fire when he saw that.
‘That kid is too brazen! He knows who I am, yet he isn’t afraid?’
“You have balls, kid! Tell me your name!” Lu Bin roared. His face was contorted with anger.
“My name is Tang Hao!” Tang Hao said coldly.
There was nothing to hide. Teacher Jiang had called him by his name several times anyway, and it was too easy for Lu Bin to find out even if he did not tell his name.
“Tang Hao? Hmph! I’ll remember that! Just you wait!”
Lu Bin cackled. He took out his phone and made a call.
“Hello! Is that Deputy Superintendent Lin? I’m Lu Bin!”
“Oh, Cousin Lu! It’s already so late. Can I help you with anything?”
“It’s like this. I’m at Fragrant Cloud Restaurant and I’ve been beaten by someone. I’d like you to send some people over and arrest him. Remember to take ‘good care’ of him.”
Deputy Superintendent Lin on the other end of the call was shocked speechless.
Cousin Lu was the Crown Prince of Province Z. Who would dare to beat him up?
“Who’s that brazen bastard?” Deputy Superintendent Lin said.
“It’s a university student. His name is Tang Hao. Can you run a check on that name and see who he is and where he’s from?”
“Oh, Tang Hao?” Deputy Superintendent Lin mumbled that name. He thought that it sounded quite familiar.
Then, his body trembled and his face displayed utter incredulity.
‘Isn’t Tang Hao related to Xu Jianghai’s fall from grace? He was arrested and brought to the police station not too long ago, but I’ve managed to send him off!
‘Why is it him again this time?
‘Now he’s gotten himself into trouble again. He’s beaten up the son of Secretary Lu.’
Deputy Superintendent Lin was cursing under his breath.
‘Can’t this idiot keep it down? He’s always causing trouble!’
His composure wavered as he thought of what to do.
There was no need to mention Lu Bin’s background. However, Tang Hao also had someone in the provincial government backing him.
He did not know who they were, but he knew that they greatly outranked him.
If the Secretary had personally made that request, then he would not hesitate in arresting that kid. However, it was the Secretary’s son.
Lu Bin was surprised when he heard no reply from Deputy Superintendent Lin. “What’s wrong?”
Deputy Superintendent Lin hesitated for a while and said, “Oh, Cousin Lu! I’m sorry, I’m a little caught up with another case. How about you ask someone else, or maybe call the local police station?”
Then, he hurriedly ended the call.
Lu Bin’s face was red with anger when he heard the busy tone on the phone.
He understood that Deputy Superintendent Lin had tactfully declined his request.

‘Don’t tell me… he has a powerful background?’
Just when he was starting to be wary, someone from the Ministry of Education shouted. “Oh, I remember now! I was wondering why the name sounded familiar.”
Then, that person looked at Dean Fu.
“There was a provincial government official who requested for a spot in Z University for a student. That student’s name is Tang Hao.”
“What? A provincial government official?” Everyone was shocked.
Especially Dean Fu. His face stiffened.
Not many people could wield enough authority to place a random kid into Z University. He could count the number of people with that level of authority on one hand.
He had thought Tang Hao was just a normal student, but now he knew that the kid had a powerful background.
With a leader from the provincial government backing him, there was no chance for him to take revenge!
Then, he smirked coldly.
No matter how highly ranked his backing might be, they were still no match for Lu Bin’s father, who was the Province Secretary!
Lu Bin’s composure wavered. He furrowed his brows.
‘So he does have a powerful background after all. No wonder Deputy Superintendent Lin backed away. Looks like I can’t get the police to help.’
Tang Hao looked around the room. “If there’s nothing else, let’s leave this place!” Then, he took Jiang Wanying’s hand and led her outside.
Jiang Wanying was still in a daze. She allowed herself to be led out.
She was still feeling weak. She was in a daze as she was led downstairs into the basement parking lot and Tang Hao’s car.
“Drink this, Teacher Jiang!”
After Tang Hao sat into the car, he handed Teacher Jiang a small bottle. In it contained the sobriety potion he concocted.
Still in a daze, Jiang Wanying took it and drank it.
A while later, her mind slowly became clear.
“This is…” She looked at the bottle in her hand with surprise.
“It’s a sobriety potion!” Tang Hao took the empty bottle back.
“Oh!” Jiang Wanying replied, and did not think about it any further.
She looked at Tang Hao guiltily. “I’m sorry for dragging you into trouble again, Tang Hao.”
She bit her lip and tears welled in her eyes.
“I shouldn’t have trusted that animal of a Dean. I honestly thought that it would only be a normal dinner. When I realized that something was amiss, it was too late for me to escape.”
Tang Hao smiled and comforted her. “Don’t be sad, Teacher Jiang. It’s not your fault! It’s all that animal’s fault.”
Jiang Wanying started sobbing.
“All this wouldn’t have happened if not for me!”
She could not hold back her tears anymore. She buried her head in her knees and cried out loudly.
Tang Hao sighed when he saw her cry.
Teacher Jiang had newly stepped into society. She did not know how evil some people could be.
Then, his expression gradually turned grim.
Lu Bin was not a pushover, and he would not let the matter slide. Tang Hao was in big trouble this time!
