Chapter 425 - Another Forced Kiss

Tang Hao left the company and went to Dragonrock Village.

The new houses in the village were finished after three months of construction. The construction team had also wrapped up the other infrastructure projects in the village.

The makeover of Dragonrock Village was complete.

A wide asphalt road led into a vista of new, concrete houses against splendid scenery. One could hardly imagine that only a year ago, it was a poor and run-down mountain village.

The new houses were built in the style of mansions. They had vast lawns and even a garage. It looked even better than some residential areas in town.

Yan’er and her family moved into a new house. Her parents worked on the plantation. They were diligent workers and earned a lot of money every month.

Tang Hao was greeted warmly by the villagers when he arrived there.

He went to survey the plantation with the village elder. After that, he went to his grandparents’ house. He gave Grandma a pair of jade bracelets and Grandpa a jade pendant.

Grandma looked at the bracelets and gave them back to Tang Hao.

“She already has a set of her own, Grandma! This jade is special. It’s good for your health if you wear it,” Tang Hao tried to convince her.

She paused for a while and continued, “Dazhu’s wife will be giving birth in another three months. Zelei’s wife is pregnant, too. It’ll be your turn soon!”

“That’s too soon!” Tang Hao said with a smile.

After leaving Dragonrock Village, he went to Masculine Wind.

He saw Ma Fangfang in an office.

She was busy at work, and so Tang Hao waited outside. He saw that she was wearing office clothes that carried an air of diligence.

Tang Hao gave her a set of jade Artifacts. After that, he went to First High and gave a set to Yan’er.

He had given away half of the Artifacts. The remaining four sets were for people in Provincial City.

He brought Han Yutong with him to Provincial City that afternoon.

He went to the university first. After all, he had not attended classes for a month. In the evening, he went to meet Teacher Jiang and gave her a set of jade Artifacts. He also gave her a pendant and a pair of bracelets for her father and mother.

He gave them some jade talismans earlier, but those were far weaker compared to Artifacts.

He then went to the Provincial Police Headquarters.

He waited for a long time in front of the police station before he saw Zhao Qingxue. It was almost nine o’clock by then.

“Why didn’t you tell me?” Zhao Qingxue said angrily.

“About what?”

“That incident! My brother told me about it when he had a little too much to drink. I would’ve remained oblivious if he didn’t run his mouth!” Zhao Qingxue glared at him.

“Why didn’t you tell me that something so serious happened to you? I’m a police officer!

“And… there were so many assassins… What if you were hurt, or worse?” Zhao Qingxue sounded emotional when she said that.

She knew how serious that incident was. She had seen the photos. That was why she was worried about him.

Tang Hao was silent.

He knew that she cared for him.

She glared at him again, then abruptly leaned forward, pulled Tang Hao’s face toward hers, and forced her lips onto his.

Tang Hao’s mind went blank in that instant.

Before he could realize what happened, his lips were already sealed by another set of lips that carried an intoxicating scent.

They were caught up in the heat of things. Their hands started exploring each other’s bodies.

Soon, they abruptly stopped.

They suddenly remembered that they were at the entrance of the Provincial Police Headquarters. Even though it was almost nine o’clock at night, people were going in and out of the building.

That thought was like a bucket of cold water that showered over them.

Zhao Qingxue returned to her seat and straightened her clothes.

Her face was blushing intensely, which made her more charming than ever.

“Send me home!” She said.

Tang Hao also straightened his clothes and calmed down his emotions. He started the car and drove toward her apartment.

They arrived at her residential area soon.

Tang Hao gave her the jade Artifacts.

“Thanks!” Zhao Qingxue said happily. She immediately wore the bracelets on her wrists.

She lifted her head and looked seductively at him. “I’ll be busy tonight because there’s a case. Otherwise, you can stay for the night.

“Next time then!”

She chuckled, leaned over, and gave him a long kiss until they were out of breath.

She smiled at Tang Hao, opened the car door, and left.

She waved before going into her apartment.

Tang Hao continued sitting there. He felt immensely guilty.

He could almost never resist herself when faced with the charming and daring Officer Zhao.

After seeing her disappear from his sight, he started his car and left.
