Tang Hao spent his New Year’s Day uneventfully.
He stayed in his apartment in the morning and went out with Yan’er in the afternoon. In the evening, he sent her back to the dormitory.
When he got home, he received a call from Assistant Han.
“Are you free tomorrow, Chairman Tang?” Han Yutong asked.
“Yes! What’s the matter?”
“Well…” she suddenly hesitated. “Can you accompany me tomorrow?”
“Sure!” Tang Hao readily agreed. “What’s the matter?”
She hemmed and hawed for a while and said softly, “Be my boyfriend!”

Tang Hao was stunned and at a loss for a reply.
“It’s just for one day!” Han Yutong added.
“Well…” Tang Hao grinned and hesitated.
“I’m begging you, Chairman Tang. It’s just for one day, please!” She pleaded.
“What’s going on?” Tang Hao asked.
“My relatives are coming tomorrow. They’re from my first uncle’s family. My family has a good relationship with them, but my cousin is especially annoying.
“She’s been trying to one-up me in everything since we’re kids, and she’s very sarcastic.
“The last time we met, she even laughed at me for being single. How can I tolerate that? Don’t you think so?”
As she said that, Han Yutong clenched her teeth and fists resentfully.

Even if it were just for a day, it would still be good!
Moreover, tomorrow was a very special day with a special meaning.
“Then… please come over early tomorrow, Chairman Tang. They might arrive at about eight or nine o’clock,” Han Yutong said.
“OK!” Tang Hao said.
Then, there was a moment of silence.

“Surfing the Internet!”

She paused for a moment and asked, “Chairman Tang, am I really too old to be single?”

She was surprised by the reply. After thinking for a moment, she agreed with him. Chairman Tang’s girlfriend was the same age as her. Apparently, Chairman Tang preferred mature women.
She pursed her lips and was delighted again.

Early the next morning, Tang Hao went to Han Yutong’s house.
He rang the doorbell. It was her mother who opened the door.

Tang Hao sat down and chatted with Mrs. Han for a while.
Finally, a bedroom door opened, and Han Yutong walked out.

Tang Hao lifted her head and was stunned.
“You’re here, Chairman Tang!” She called out as she walked.

She was close enough that he could smell her fragrance.

As she spoke, she smiled brightly and held Tang Hao’s hand tightly.
Mrs. Han shook her head helplessly.
