Chapter 648 - How Naïve
Gao Wei walked into the house and looked around.
The furnishings in the house were simple and plain, which surprised him.
After all, that man was a billionaire! He lived in such a simple house!
Then, he began to figure out where to plant the cameras and recording devices.
After surveying the apartment, he turned around and asked Tang Hao. “Sir, where did you say the infestation was? The kitchen or the bedroom?”
“Well… I’m not sure either. You can look at both places and tell me where the problem is!” The young man said. “I’ll boil some water and make some tea.”
Then, he walked straight toward the kitchen.
‘Haha! What an idiot! How can he be so careless?’
Gao Wei lowered his head, trying to hide his delight.
‘This is too easy!
I didn’t expect it to be so smooth-sailing. The boss of Haotian Group is indeed young and naive. He doesn’t know how dangerous the real world is.’
He held back his excitement and glanced at the kitchen. Seeing the young man filling up the kettle at the tap, he hurried to the couch and opened the toolbox. He took out a few miniature recording devices and stuffed them into the cracks.
Then, he took out a camera and hid it in a vase.
After doing all that, he picked up the toolbox and walked into the bedroom.
After scanning the room, he first planted a recording device under the bed, then wondered where he should put the pinhole camera.
After scanning the room, his eyes fell on the socket near the headboard.
‘That’s right, this is the spot. From this angle, I can see everything clearly.’
He quickly walked there, took out his tools, pried open the socket, and took out a camera.
The size was just right.

“You’re…” the young man said.

“That’s true!” The young man nodded, “Thank you for your hard work!”
‘Haha! This kid is so easily fooled!’ Gao Wei sneered secretly.
“You look like you’ve been working hard. Let me help you!” The young man said.
“No, no, no! Don’t!”
Gao Wei panicked. He turned around, tore off the camera, and threw it into his mouth.
“It’s… fine! Don’t mind me!” He mumbled.
“Eh? Is there something in your mouth?”
“No! Haha! That’s impossible!” Gao Wei hurriedly shook his head and swallowed the camera with a gulp. Then, he opened his mouth and showed it to Tang Hao.
“Oh! Then I’ll go and make tea!” The young man turned around and walked out of the room.
“Phew!”
Gao Wei immediately let out a sigh of relief and patted his chest. His heart was still thumping hard.
“That was so close! He nearly blew my cover!” He muttered. He touched his stomach again, and his expression turned unpleasant.
He actually swallowed a camera!
“Dammit, that kid is despicable!” He grumbled angrily. He squatted down, took out another camera from the toolbox, and was about to install it.
“Um…”
At that moment, he heard the voice again. This time, it was closer.
When he turned around, he was almost scared out of his wits.
The kid was almost behind him. He tilted his head and looked at him curiously.
‘F*ck! Are you a ghost? Why don’t you make any sound when you walk? Also, didn’t you walk away earlier? Why did you come back?’
Gao Wei wailed in his heart.
Then, he turned around, tore off the camera, and stuffed it into his mouth.
He could not allow the kid to discover what he was doing. Otherwise, he would be sent to the police station.
“Hmm? I think there’s really something in your mouth!”
“No!”
Gao Wei hurriedly shook his head. With a gulp, he swallowed the camera once more, and his face wrinkled up like a raisin.
‘F*ck! This is the second time! I hope I don’t get constipated!’
“There isn’t? Then I must have been mistaken. I want to ask if you have any tea preferences.”
‘Just to ask this?’
Gao Wei almost vomited blood, but his face was full of smiles. “I don’t mind anything.”
“Oh! I’ll stop bothering you then!”
Gao Wei let out a sigh of relief. After confirming that the young man had already left, he took out another camera.
“Um…”
That devil-like voice was heard again.
Gao Wei was about to lose his mind.
‘What the hell is going on!? Why isn’t he making any noise when he walks?’
He threw the camera into his mouth, swallowed it, and turned around. His face was scrunched up and looked extremely miserable.
“The tea is ready! Come, have a cup of hot tea!” The young man walked up and said enthusiastically.
“Thank you!”
Gao Wei took it and gave it a whiff. “It smells so good!” He exclaimed.
“Drink it while it’s hot!”
The young man looked at him with a smile.
That gaze made Gao Wei’s heart skip a beat, and he vaguely had a bad premonition. But then, he shook his head and banished this thought.
‘He’s just a naïve kid! There’s nothing to be afraid of!’
He took off his mask, blew on the tea, and gulped it down in a few mouthfuls.
“Thank you!”
He handed the teacup back.
Then, he squatted down and continued to install the camera. Suddenly, he felt a little dizzy in his head, and he seemed to be in a daze.
A strong sense of guilt arose in his heart, which compelled him to kneel down and repent.
As the Number One Paparazzi, he had been in the industry for decades and gotten his hands dirty many times by creating countless rumors. Those bad deeds surged into his memories.
As he kneeled and wailed, he confessed to all those misdeeds.
“Very good! Now drink this!”
Tang Hao brought another cup of tea and poured it into his mouth.
Soon, Gao Wei came to his senses. He kneeled there with a blank look on his face.
Tang Hao smiled at him and walked outside. When he opened the door, several police officers walked in.
“That’s him!” Tang Hao pointed at Gao Wei.
Two police officers rushed forward and pinned him down. Another went to check the toolbox and found the pinhole cameras and recording devices in a hidden compartment.
“Good job! We caught him red-handed! Let’s go!”
The two policemen carried him and walked out.
Gao Wei’s whole body went limp and his expression was vacant.
He remained confused, not knowing how to react. He thought that the kid was naïve, but the kid had actually seen through his ruse and took him for a ride!
