Chapter 1: Night if the broken
"Oh, you are drunk again. Didn't I tell you to leave that idiot? So, what did you get now?" Ava frowned at her friend.
"Ava,I love her. It's hard to let go of our ten-year relationship. I tried to fight because I thought there was still hope for him to change, but l was wrong," Cassandra sobbed to her friend.
"Girl, no Matter how long your relationship lasts, if he's truly a cheater, he will still cheat on you. No matter how hard you try to change him, there's nothing you can do. A cheater is always a cheater. I really don't know why you trust that idiot so much. I knew the first time I saw that Man that he was obviously a jerk. If you had listened to me,you wouldn't be drinking here, crying and broken," Ava said while Cassandra was deafeningly silent because she knew her friend was right.
Cassandra had been socked in alcohol for three hours and had done nothing but get drunk and cry whenever she remembered how her ex-boyfriend had cheated on her.
"Sandra, aren't you going home?' Ava worriedly asked her friend.
"I don't have any plans to go home. Let's just stay here, My friend. I am not even drunk yet," Cassandra replied, but it was obvious that she was very drunk.
"Seriously? In that situation, you're not drunk yet. My God, Sandra, what time is it? Get up there and I'll take you to your apartment,' Ava said as she helped Cassandra stand up as she almost fell in her seat.
"You are really a kill joy, Ava," Cassandra replied as she shook her head.
"Don't Me Sandra, My Aunt will get mad at me for what you are doing," Ava said nervously. "You can go first, since I can go home alone, and maybe your aunt will tweak you," Cassandra said as she tapped her shoulder and smiled a little bit at her, saying that she was fine leaving her alone in that bar.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes, My friend. Go home and rest, thank you for your concern," Cassandra said
"All right, I'm going home now, but Make sure to call or message me when you get home as well," Ava said before leaving her friend, who was still drinking vodka.
Cassandra was left alone, and she took a sip before all of her memories from earlier came flooding back to her.
Flashback:
Cassandra was tired and stressed and it was exactly 7 p.M. She works as a secretary in the Consuelo company and she just had to go see her boss and give him the paperwork that was due today. She then tucked the documents on top of each other and grabbed theM. She took her bag and put on her blazer. She took a deep breath before exiting her office to see her boss.
To be honest, every time she sees him, she gets shivers. She's been at that office for three years. She then walked out of her office, gently opening the door.
She took the keys from her pocket and properly locked the door.
She then turned right to walk down the long corridor, then left to see her boss's door. She calmed herself down once more before knocking on his door. When he saw her, he opened the door and gave her a seductive smile. She was flushed. Then she cleared her throat readily.
"Excuse me, Sir, but here are the documents for our recent transaction, all filled out and completed."
"Just put it on My table," he said, and she placed the papers on his desk. "Is that all, Sir?" she inquired, and her boss siMply nodded.
"Good night, Mr. Consuelo."
"Thank you very Much, Miss Ogatcho, and good night to you as well" he re plied. She smiled at him as she walked to the elevators.
She then pressed the G button, and when she exited the elevators, she said goodbye to Becca, who worked at the reception area, and she courteously said goodbye to her as well, before walking away to
Get her car. She then took her keys from her pocket and opened her car door. She sighed as she sat inside. Since she moved out of her parents' house, she has been living in her boyfriend's apartment and when she returns home. She quietly removed her jacket and bag and sat down when she heard a noise coming from their room.
Cassandra then walked slowly upstairs as the noise became more audible.
"Faster... Ahhhhhh,' she was taken aback to hear those words. Worst of all, it was a female voice.
"Why is there a woman in our apartment? f*ck! Where is Ronnie?" she mumbled silently as she looked around.
Her stomach churned as she imagined a woman upstairs with Ronnie. She shook her head, knowing that her boyfriend would never cheat on her. She then quietly walked upstairs, and when she arrived, she was horrified. She found a bra and lacy pants that weren't even hers on the floor.
The butterflies in her stomach grew and grew as she was tre trembling with fear.
"Please, it's not what I think," she whispered, praying that she was just being paranoid.
As she took a deep breath and walked slowly towards their roo.m, questions raced through her mind.
The door was slightly ajar but just enough to see who was inside.
"R-Ronnie... aahhh.. fa-faster! F-faster!" The woman screamed.
"Wait a Minute, babe! Can I f*ck you harder?" he asked.
"Yes!' She moaned as she clutched the bedsheets and bit her lip. Witnessing this scene Made her feel like shattered glass on the ground. She was at a loss for what to do. Should she scream and yell at her boyfriend, or should she leave this place? Her heart rate increased, as did her tears her boyfriend had been unfaithful to her.
"H-how could you do this to me, Ronnie?' she mumbled silently but enough for them to hear.
" I thought you love me!"' she said as she felt her tears again slip down on her cheeks. Then two hurriedly got up as they covered themselves by the blanket.
"F*ck, Sandra.. no. it's not as it seems-"
