Chapter 56: The truth
Manang Soling, on the other hand, shook her head. "I don't know anything about your past, Ma'am, but I can tell you that you need to escape, and you should flee with your son. I don't want you to end up like her."
"End up like her? Who are you talking about, Manang?" Anastasia inquired.
"You are not his w—," he says.
"Manang Soling, what's taking you so long?" a man's voice inquired.
When Anthony unexpectedly entered their room, they were taken aback.
"T-thank you for the food, Manang Soling," she stutteringly said. She doesn't want to let go of Manang soling's hand, but she has no choice. Anthony will be suspicious.
"You can go home now, Aling Soling; I'll cook our dinner later, so you don't need to come back here at night," Anthony said as Manang Soling walked away.
"How's my lovely wife?" Anthony inquires as he approaches her. Anastasia then takes a step back.
"Ohh, you're scared of me now, which is good but sometimes annoying," he murmured as he stroked her cheeks.
"Look at me, honey," he said.
Anthony cast a glance at her as one of her large tears fell. "Shhh, don't cry, honey, I won't hurt you if you just behave," he said quietly. He bought his lips to hers in a passionate kiss, grabbing her waist. He sighed deeply as he drew away, looking into his angel's eyes. He wished he could feel her soft lips against his again and again.
Her lips were one thing, but her skin was something else entirely. He liked how soft it was, but what about now? Bruised. Her petal-like skin was covered in dark blotches of bite and finger marks. she gets a point. a sign of ownership.

"Edward, here's Anastasia's DNA report, and the other one is for the drug test," Mark said as he handed the reports to Edward.
when he saw the result of the DNA test that it matched, Edward hurriedly read it. "f*ck, I knew it. Anastasia is my wife, and I was right in the first place that she's alive," Edward said.
"But you need to know the result of her medicine, and I believe this is why she can't remember us," Mark said, then hurriedly opened the other envelope and read the report.
"F*ck that jerk! He wants Cassandra to forget about us by giving this kind of drug; how dare he!" he snarled, clenching his teeth.
"So, what's your plan now?" Mark inquired, concerned.
"I need her back now, and I'm going to teach that f*cking bastard a lesson," he said as he took his car keys.
"All right, I'll come with you," Mark said, as Edward nodded.

Anastasia awoke around ten o'clock at night. Anthony was sound asleep, so she slowly left their bed and went to the kitchen to drink a glass of water when she noticed the basement door was open.
As she remembers Anthony forbids her from going down there, so it is always locked, but it appears to have forgotten to close it. Anastasia wants to go inside to check it because she's curious, but she's afraid of her husband that will punish her if he discovers she went inside.
He was about to walk away when she heard a noise coming from the basement. But, due to her curiosity, he chose to disregard Anthony's command in her mind and she then entered the room without hesitation.
That's how terrified she was when she saw Aling Soling dying and bathing in her blood. The elderly lady is fighting for her life. "Oh my God!" she cried as she helped her untie the rope around her hands.
"Y-you need to get away from this house."
"Y-you aren't his real w-wife. S-save yourself r-right now, Cassandra," the old lady said before she passed out.
She couldn't take what she discovered. "So it was all a lie, I'm not his wife, but why did he do this to me?" Her mind was already perplexed as if she didn't know what to do when her gaze was drawn to a wedding picture. She wasn't Anthony's bride in the photo, so she rummaged through the other items in the room, and her photos with Edward and Akia were revealed to her.
She continues to cry because she feels betrayed by everything she has learned. She's not Anastasia and she will never be because the real Anastasia was already dead she saw a death certificate beside the wedding picture.
"Edward was right; I wish I had believed him right away," she said to herself as images appeared in his mind, but they were blurry. He endured the pain until it was gone, then sobbed quietly. "I have to get out of here," she said quietly as she walked slowly out of the basement.

After about an hour, the tears had dried and she was already outside the basement plotting her escape. She had considered a few scenarios that might or might not work out, but she needed to try because she needed to get out of his place while Anthony was still sleeping.
She then slowly walked over to the door she was almost there for her freedom. "F*ck, it's locked," she whispered in frustration.
"Going somewhere, honey?"
When she heard his voice, she started shaking violently and breathing quickly in and out. He then noticed blood dripping down her leg. "Who
Why do you have blood stains on your shirt, honey? "he muttered angrily. Before he could get any closer to her.
She screamed and then dashed away. She slammed the door and locked it behind her as she chased her into their room.
"Open the door, honey."
He could hear her whimpering. He slammed the door shut. Once. Twice. Three times. The door slid off its hinges. He was furious at her. She was his. He entered their bedroom.
"Where are you, honey? Don't f*cking hide from me."
She was nowhere to be found. Turning quickly, he noticed her long hair flying around the corner into the bedroom again, this time towards the tip of her hair. Her snarled.
He approached her at an animalistic pace, wrapping his arms around her waist and pulling her back towards his chest.
She started crying. She couldn't take what was going on. He basked in her touch while she squirmed. Every curve of her body pressed against his, driving him insane. Every touch from her sent shivers down his spine.
"L-let me go! Please let me go; I don't want to be here anymore!" As she spoke, he could hear her panic and fear.
As he lifted her into the air, she tried to pry his arms away from her. He turned her around, looking down at her convulsing body. She was about to have a nervous breakdown.
He began to speak to her as he gently stroked her cheek.
"Why are you acting this way, huh? don't tell me you're planning to flee from me?" he demanded angrily. Cassandra tried to steady her breathing by furrowing her brows. "I need to relax, I need to get out of this hell," she grumbled.
"I think you already know everything but I want to say sorry honey because I will never let you escape from me," he said into her ear.
Cassandra's eyes widened in fear. When Anthony put a handkerchief in her nose, she began to blink quickly, attempting to break free from his grip. She cried out, trying not to smell what was in the handkerchief.
"Edward, please help me..."
Anthony heard her whisper before Darkness overtake her.
