Chapter 59: Memories back
"Anthony!!! Open this gate!" Edward screamed outside Anthony's home.
"Bro, I don't think they are here," Mark said.
"No, I know he's here; maybe he is just hiding; we need to save Cassandra, my wife," Edward exclaimed, his voice shaking.
"Okay, okay. Relax bro, how about we find a way in?" Mark suggested as they looked around.
"F*ck, all the gates are locked. Look, he's here, something's going on. We need to hide," Mark said, pulling Edward into a corner to hide.
When Edward sneaked through the gate, he saw Anthony holding a gun and threatening Cassandra while she was crying. Enraged, Edward clenched his teeth. "F*ck, what was he doing? Why is he pointing a gun at my wife's head?" he hissed angrily but quietly.
"Relax, dude. We need to come up with a plan first to save Cassandra seeing as Anthony will do more than that," Mark said.
~
"No, please, Anthony, don't do this," she begged at him but he didn't listen to her.
Anthony, on the other hand, continued to kiss her from her neck down to her collarbone, his hand wandering around her body.
Cassandra was disgusted by his kisses and touch. She is attempting to push him away, but he is far too strong. Anthony pinned her hands above her head and quietly said, "Stop resisting, honey," he whispered as he tried to lick her ear.
"Once I get out of here, I'm going to sue you!" she yelled at him angrily. Anthony then laughed.
"Well, that will never happen, honey; I'm not going to let you go that easily," he smirked as he pressed his lips against hers. Cassandra bit his lip until she could taste the blood on his lips.
"F*ck, you are getting so wild, I like it," he chuckled as he suddenly massaged his boobs despite Cassandra's best efforts to resist him.
*Sh*t, you are so stubborn; I apologize for this then," Anthony said as he punched her stomach, knocking her out.
"Oh, too bad you can't see how much I am going to enjoy lavishing your sexy body, honey," he said, shaking her head as he stared at her curvy body.
Anthony then stood up to unbuckle his pants, excited to do what he's plan when someone suddenly hit his head, knocking him to the ground and causing his vision to blur. "I'm going to kill you, a$$hole," that was his last sentence before his vision faded.
"Did you call the cops?" Edward inquired as he approached Cassandra's unconscious body and picked her up in a bridal style.
"I already called them; they will be there in a minute," Mark said as he hung up the phone.
"Tie him up, he needs to rot in jail!" Edward exclaimed as Mark did then they both went downstairs to wait for the police.
They waited for more than 20 minutes, and Edward became irritated because the cop had not yet arrived.
"Bro, I need to use the restroom first, so I'll leave you alone for a few minutes," Mark explained.
"All right, then check Anthony upstairs after you poo," Edward said as Mark hurriedly went inside. Edward then returned his gaze to his wife. She is still unconscious.
"Sh*t, I want to kill that jerk!" Edward exclaimed as he examined Cassandra's bruised body as he laid her down inside his car, stroking his wife's hair tenderly. "Finally, there's no one to keep us apart. We will be happy again once you wake up," he whispered.
~
"Edward, we have a problem," Mark exclaimed as he dashed towards him.
"What?" Edward asked, irritated as Mark disturb his moment alone with her wife.
"Anthony escaped!" exclaimed Mark.
"What!? How? You tied him up, right?"
"Yes, I did, and you saw me tying him, right? but when I check him again, he's not in his room anymore," Mark said, concernedly looking around.
"Sh*t, why the f*ck are the cops taking so long!! f*ck! f*ck! Call the cops again and report this, and make sure that they will not stop looking for him. He needs to be in jail as soon as possible. I have a feeling he'll come back for Cassandra, and my wife will be in danger once again if we can't find him," Edward hissed as he clenched his fist
~
"Doc, how is my wife?" Edward inquired, concerned.
"She's fine so far; you did a good job bringing her here; we discovered some minor cuts on her legs," the doctor said.
"How long until she wakes up?"
"I'm not sure, all we have to do is to wait, she's tired and has been through a lot of trauma, she needs more rest," the doctor said before leaving him.
~
Cassandra shivered and flinched forward as she sensed Anthony's presence behind her. She could feel his warm breath fanning against her neck because he was so close.
"You look stunning."
She remained silent. She couldn't do it. She was frozen in place and completely speechless. Anthony sensed her fear and chuckled, his mouth on her neck sending subtle vibrations through her skin.
When she felt his hand trace his way up her back, leading to the dress's zipper, she began to shake. He then began to slowly pull it down.
"W-what are you up to?"
He sighed and pushed the bodice of the strapless dress down.
"What do you think I'm doing, honey?"
She nearly yelped and frantically pulled the opening dress up to cover herself.
"Leave me alone!"
He, on the other hand, ignored her plea and approached her. Her immediate reaction was to take a step back, but she quickly realized her error when the backs of her legs hit the bed.
"How do you want to do this, honey?" he asked as she attempted to climb onto the bed, intending to jump over it and use the bed as a barrier between them. He snatched her by the waist and slammed her onto her back.
She began to kick and scream at him, desperate for him to release her but instead had her gown torn from her trembling body. He was pulling it down her legs, and she took advantage of the opportunity to kick him between the thighs, but all she got was a harsh backhanded slap across the face.
Her ears rang, and her vision became blurry and spun.
"I didn't want to do this; please someone help me."
"Cassandra???"
"Cassandra?? wake up," a familiar voice said as she was shaken. She slowly opened her eyes.
"E-Edward?" she muttered, hurriedly hugging him and crying.
"Shhhh, don't cry. It's just a nightmare. I'm here now, sweetie. I won't let anyone hurt you like this again," Edward said as he hugged and tapped her on the back.
Cassandra pushed him away, wiped her tears, and looked at Edward. "Thank you for saving me, but where is Anthony?"
"You don't have to thank me, sweetie. I'm your husband, and I have to protect you. I'm sorry, Anthony escaped, but the police are looking for him, and he's now all over the news," Edward explained.
"But I'm not safe here; he'll come for me for sure," she says, her voice shaking as Edward senses her fear.
"Relax, sweetie; I'm not going to let that happen again; I'm going to protect you."
"You have no idea how much I miss you; I didn't stop looking for you because I know for myself that you are alive; I love you more than myself, sweetie, and I'm so sorry for everything I've done in the past," Edward said as he held her hands.
"It's okay, that's all in the past," Cassandra said as she resisted him.
"Are you sure you remember everything?"
Cassandra then nodded, saying, "Yes, I remember everything."
"Oh my gosh, thank you, God; Akia will be overjoyed," Edward exclaimed happily as he hugged her tightly.
"S-Stop hugging me. I'm not your wife anymore, remember? Sofie will be mad at me if she sees us hugging like this," Cassandra said as she looked away, biting her lips and fighting the urge to cry.
"Cassandra, I'm sorry for hurting you so much in the past, but it was all a misunderstanding; Sofie lied to me. The truth is she was just pretending to be pregnant at the time, and I'm sorry my mind was messed up as well, and I can't afford to lose you if—"
Cassandra abruptly kissed him, and she pulled back, interrupting Edward's sentence.
"I already forgive you, and I apologize for not trusting you," Cassandra said as Edward kissed her back when she suddenly remembered something.
"Wait, Eddie will be in danger; we need to find him; I'm sure Anthony will use my son, our son," she screamed in terror.
"Did you say E-Eddie was my son?"
"Yes, he's our son. Please, Edward, let's find him. I remember he was with Anthony's mother and they're on vacation in Baguio," her voice trembling.
"All right, relax, we're going to find our son, and I'm not going to let that jerk use our son against us."
