Chapter 14
|| Savannah's POV ||
His pleading voice, the please glossing from his dark hooded eyes had driven me to the edge of the cliff for once. Everything was getting confused inside my head since nothing matched with the Ares that I heard from gossip. Though Aria and I had a close bond, we grew apart after his Playboy character had been a trending topic in the city.
I swallowed hard and quickly drifted back to the thoughts where Aria mentioned that Ares never begged for forgiveness from anyone. Simply because he was too full of himself. But now hearing him asking for forgiveness from me had surprised me again. It seemed like he tended to surprise me with his bipolar mood.
When I stayed mute at his response, he shrugged looking away to hide the discomfort from my eyes,
" Gosh! Forget it! I am being too paranoid."
I would have laughed at his guilty face but remorse was crossing over his expression. He was deeply sorry for the words that he had spoken to me earlier.
My lips parted forming into a smile at his childish act. He was expecting my forgiveness yet showed an attitude like a brat. A chuckle left my lips involuntarily, earning his attention back on me. When he snapped his head ahead to stare at me, I burst into laughter, unable to control it since his eyes were watching me like a sad puppy.
His lips twisted, asking me coldly,
" What is so funny about, Princess?"
I held the coffee mug between my fingers tightly, hoping that it wouldn't spill out because of my consistent laughter. I replied, mocking his face more longingly,
" Ares Thatcher, the infamous bachelor of town is apologizing to me. What a lucky day indeed! Fair point! I will forgive you for those puppies, innocent eyes. Oh my god! I should share this news with Aria since she kept telling me that you never apologize to anyone."
My head dipped to sip another round from my mug. Ares turned red in shame as if he had just realized that he was acting out of his character. I continued laughing, enjoying the quick transition on his face. He was looking like that bossy man from anime who changes after meeting their girl.
Suddenly, I wasn't laughing anymore as Ares took a big stride in front of me, towering over me with his super long height. He was looking like a gigantic tower in front of my sitting position. I stopped laughing, nervousness gripped me since his eyes rested on me, dark and sensual.
I swallowed down my coffee thickly. It was hard to stop your sexual tension around someone hot like Ares. I was obvious to that but his eyes were killing, enough to make my panties wet.
His slender arms squatted down slightly, long fingers cupped my cheeks to force me into his bottomless into his eyes. His touch felt sinful yet so demanding that I wanted to be touched everywhere.
Fuck the devil inside me! It kept sending me dirty images inside my brain!
His lips quirked into a devilish smirk, lust glazed from his humorless eyes. His fingers were crawling over my cheeks, taking note of every inch of my skin. His voice sounded husky nothing like earlier,
" Where did your laughter go suddenly, Princess? Mmh?"
I was very used to hearing him calling me ' Princess'. But today, it sounded so different, guttural. There was an evident need behind his tone. My lips parted wanting to say something but it was soon buried back inside. I was pinned under his gaze, his fingers were still dancing on my skin, numbing each limb inside.
Reading the obvious pink blushes and nervousness on my face, Ares gave me another toothy smile. His voice murmured, looking down at me with intensity,
" Don't laugh at me like that, Princess. I might do something that is against our rules. Do you know what happened to the last girl who laughed at me?"
I wasn't sure what that girl do to him or why she laughed at him. But my curiosity was in full swing and I murmured back, flattering my lashes nervously,
" What.. what did you do?"
He gave me a lopsided smile. His head dipped, leaning down to match my height. Our lips were a few inches apart to melt into one. His voice sounded raspy, mischievous smile on his lips as he mouthed those words at my face,
" I fucked her brain out until she begged for mercy. Do you want to be that girl?"
He licked his lips after his words. I was no longer thinking straight since his words were already dripping me wet. I was never a believer in that words where people said that one look could make you this wet.
I nodded then shook my head in puzzlement. Ares shot me a big grin as I muttered lowly,
" You are so cute when you are this nervous, Princess."
He stood up straight and laughed down at me. My consciousness had pulled back to reality, guilt overpowering my sanity.
Oh my god! Was I expecting Ares to fuck me? What had gone wrong with my brain?
Surely, I was imagining nasty scenes since I was dripping wet and felt like a wet pool down there. The coffee no longer tasted to me. All I could imagine was Ares's lips on me. He was waking me with raw desire which I never felt with Finn before.
Luckily, the sexual tension aroused between us died down when another growl from the sky took his eyes off me. His grim eyes flew outside to stare at the sky, a frown appearing between his temples.
He began to speak again, lowering the tension between us,
" The rain seems to hit on the ground again. Why don't you stay for tonight?"
His suggestion tightened my stomach into a knot. It wasn't a problem to stay outside as my parents had already been comfortable with it. I stayed many times outside with Finn or Kelly in the past. But sharing the same room with Ares wasn't a good choice when he could make me this horny and needy.
After a mental battle, I decided to leave but another thunderous growl from the sky overpowered my decision. The roads would be slippery and flooded in this rain. Driving through the rain needed a lot of skill. I wasn't sure how skilled Ares was but I had no intention to die this sooner. I wasn't married yet! God!

" Aria isn't coming home again?", I questioned, curious about what made my best friend so busy late this night. We just had our dinner as Ares brought the bowls out of the room. He looked homey with all this doing.
He shrugged, coming back to fix the couch so that he could lie down,
" Yes! She is staying with Lucas."
I didn't meet the guy, Lucas yet. She met him when we were in odd for dating Finn. Hence, I didn't have much knowledge about this guy but one thing was for sure, Aria was really into that guy for real. Though it wasn't cool to fall deeper so fast, Ares seemed comfortable with her choice and I had no opinion to say on that.
Ares made a face of discomfort as he attempted to fix his legs into that small couch. Guilt coursed from the core of my heart. He had sacrificed his bed twice for me. Last time, I wasn't sober to judge between right and wrong but now that, I could see his suffering, it wasn't making me happy.
After a moment of hesitation, I spoke moving my butt to the other side,
" Umm...I was saying that we can share the bed, Ares. I mean, it's big enough for both of us."
Ares arched his head aside to stare at me, disbelief written all over his expression. He took a while to process that I was willing to share my bed with him.
He stammered, blurting suspiciously,
" You...sure? I mean, I can manage for tonight, Princess but I can't let you..."
" I trust you!", I blurted out impatiently, cutting off his words midway. I didn't know from where my confidence was coming but step aside, I believed that he couldn't do any harm to me.
His dark eyes softened, emotions glowing inside. He swallowed hard, appearing puzzled as if I had hit his deepest part. Then, his face brightened up as he got on his feet grinning,
" Finally! The playboy has seduced the beauty."
He plodded over me jumping and falling flat on the space that I left for him. I rolled my eyes, stepping on the other side carefully, and scoffed back,
" It's called respect, Ares. Now don't climb up to me at night or else I will kick you out of this bed."
