|| Savannah's POV ||

Nerd, rude, and completely shameless!

His behavior never failed to amaze me as to how shamelessly he announced that we were fucking her. Ares was the most silent boy that I met in my childhood. But he grew up to be different, slowly becoming the infamous playboy of Sunblock. Sometimes, I looked back into our memories, astonished to notice how much he had changed throughout the years. The reason was always unclear to me since I stopped visiting their house for a long time.

My arms folded over my chest, threatening him silently with my glare to spill out the truth from his stomach,

" Ares!"

His lips pulled up into a cocky grin as if he had enjoyed my breakup immensely. Oddly, he didn't try to bring the topic between us instead explained very smoothly,

" Fine! You had gotten yourself drunk last night and left on the street. Hereby, I generously offered you to come and take my bed. Nothing else happened except the part where your shrewd boyfriend appeared here to ruin my morning. Oops! Ex-boyfriend!"

A sting of pain quickly enveloped my heart but it faded away after I asked him further accusingly,

" Sure, nothing has happened between us, Ares?"

His eyes suddenly switched color. If nothing went wrong with my vision, I noticed a spark of lust behind his eyes. He stood up to walk over to me. After he was standing closer enough, towering my height perfectly, he whispered carrying an intensity that brought a chill running down my spine,

" Do you think that you could have gotten up so early if we fucked, Princess? You sure underestimate my stamina."

Despite my hatred for his personality, my cheeks caught fire momentarily. But I flashed it back, raising my voice again to point at his shirt on me,

" What about this then?"

His eyes regained the playful gleam that he had always had. Turning around swiftly, he walked back to his previous place, falling and mumbling as if nothing mattered to him,

" Oh, that...You stained your dress with your vomit. I had to clean it off. I swear, my eyes were closed. Btw, congratulations on being single again. I told you, he is a jerk!"

Truth hurts!

Indeed, Ares warned me that Finn wasn't the boy that he pretended to be in front of me. I ignored his words like the plague since he had a fetish for sleeping with every girl.

But who knew that his words would turn out so true?

Maybe, someone else would have doubted Ares's words in my place. But knowing him from my childhood, I could say that he wasn't lying to me. Ares could be a real playboy but he was bitterly truthful and had never harmed me in any way. Perhaps the reason was Aria since we shared a close friendship bond.

I exhaled a long sigh of relief. Pushing back all the bitterness behind my back, I looked up at him with gratitude. He was the one single person who stayed by my side in my worst state. Maybe, I would have fallen in grief danger if he didn't find me last night.

Tugging the corner of my clothes, I faced him from afar, smiling weakly,

" Umm...Ares...Thank...Thank you for last night...I mean it.."

His eyes snapped open widely. A brief awkward silence passed between us since he was surveying my expression. My instinctive mind had a feeling that he had a lot to say to me. But later on, the silence ended with his playful grin as he muttered raising his brows,

" World for Princess!"

I couldn't help but chuckle at his response. For the first time after years apart, I smiled at Ares's lame flirts genuinely.

Two heavily fucked up weeks passed in the blink of an eye. I was practically isolated from the outer world. My first-ever breakup had completely drained the energy inside me. Thanks to my parents, they were my biggest support during this emotional breakdown. I had always been an opened up person to my parents since my earlier days in childhood. Whenever life pushed me hard, I always found comfort in my parent's arms.

Betrayal hurts the most honestly. Maybe I would be less broken if Finn didn't choose Kelly, my best friend to fuck on my back. Two weeks! I didn't show up in Sunblock too. During this time, Kelly tried to contact me but I ignored her existence like the plague. I believed in one solid phrase a snake will always be a snake no matter how many times it changes its shell. To my surprise, Finn didn't try to contact me anymore. Not like, I was expecting him to contact me but at least, he had some self-respect left within.

Noises of students bustling around the courtyard reached our ears when my mom pulled her car in front of Sunblock's entrance. Nervousness gripped me again when the realization kicked me hard that I had to face Finn again.

God! I don't even want to look back at my past! It was killing!

My mom unbuckled her seatbelt. Leaning down, she pecked my cheeks lightly, shooting me her sunny bright encouraging smile,

" Come on, baby. You can do it! Forget about that jerk! You deserve the best!"

I smiled back weakly but it did boost my confidence. Climbing off from our family car, I waved goodbye to my mom and turned around to walk into the Sunblock's building.

The sun wasn't particularly hot today. It was barely scorching heat as I navigated through the corridor. As soon as I appeared there, countless eyes began to fall their attention on me. Though I assumed that our breakup rumors had already begun to spread through sunblock like wildfire, discomfort still crushed my confidence slowly. I hated to be the sole attention but who was there to blame?

I was dating the most wanted bachelor of Sunblock at that time!

I turned a blind eye to their attention and marched fast inside my classroom to be annoyed further. Stepping inside, I heard a lot of girls fanning around Kelly who was seated like a boss lady in, the middle of the crowd,

" Then where was your last date with Finn?"

" You are so damn lucky, Kelly!"

" Phew! It's a relief that Finn has stopped dating that low classed girl."

Laughter vibrated through the room together. Kelly joined them in laughing without noticing my presence. Their peeled laughter died down as soon as one of those girls noticed my presence. Kelly's eyes sparked at me as if she had been waiting for my arrival.

I dropped my backpack on the desk, deciding to walk off since I had zero tolerance for their bullshit. It was pretty much sure that Finn was dating Kelly officially. The entire Sunblock had already been notified about this since Finn liked to stay on trend always.

Taking a turn, I was going to walk out when Kelly suddenly marched towards me from the back,

" Savannah...Wait..."

Her hand stretched to grip my arms but I swiftly skipped, shooting her a disapproving glare. Her shoulders slumped in defeat as she began to play the innocent card. She feigned her innocence, staring at me with those puppy eyes,

" Savannah... Can we talk, please? I know that you are hurt but please, I never had any ill intentions for you. We can still be friends, right?"

Speechless!

I was completely out of words after hearing her fake apology. Why didn't I see that my best friend was an award-winning actress? She was laughing around with others when they mocked me. Besides, friends? Who would want a snake friend like her?

A scoff left my lips as I turned to face her, folding my arms over my chest. Anger squeezed my heart bitterly when I replied harshly,

" Sorry, I don't want to be friends with whore."

My response left her jaw clenched as she looked up at me with cold eyes. Perhaps, she expected me to be welcoming after going through everything. Still, her words from that night lingered in my mind. I felt more disgusted with myself to know that I had been friends with a girl like her who was stabbing me from the back.

How naive of you, Savannah! Shame on you!

Whirling around, I decided to walk off again as I had no intention of watching her cheap acting. She grabbed my arms repulsively, making me frown tightly as I glared hard at her stupidity.

Her voice sounded cold,

" How can you speak like that to me, Savannah?"

I gritted my teeth hard. With a slight push, I barked back, disgusted by her approach,

" Get off from me, Kelly."

She released my arms suddenly, let out a horrified scream, and fell on the floor with another crying voice. The entire classroom suddenly turned mute but a sudden voice traveled from the doorway,

" Kelly!!!"
