Chapter 11| Shall I Kiss Her?

“I'm prosti-"

Ting!

Her words were cut off when my phone rang. Indicating I received a message. We both shifted our gaze to the table where the phone would be found.

I chose to ignore the text message and didn't bother to check at it. I looked back to the woman I love and put a smile on my face.

"What is it again, Angela?" I asked and tuck her some baby hair at the back of her right ear. She breathes deeply and slowly releases it. Looks like she's nervous. After that, she spoke.

"I am a pros-"

Ting!

The text messages tone alert ruined our conversation for the second time around. I gasped, shut my eyes and later sighed in annoyance.

"Uhmm. . .. Check your phone, Clark. It seems important." she uttered and caressed my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes and looked at her deeply.

I don't want to ruin our moment but my phone keeps on ringing a message tone alert.

The hell.

She just caressed my cheek then after a second, I sigh for the nth time and nodded as I agreed with her suggestion.

"Smile, okay?" she added. I smiled at what she wished. I can't decline her request. She's too important to me.

I could do nothing but approach the direction to where my cellphone was and picked it up to check the text message.

I groaned mentally in annoyance at the moment I saw who it was and what the content of the message was.

From Mom:

6:01 pm

Hey sweetie, you have a dinner date with Natasha tonight at seven in the evening. Meet her, okay? Don't disappoint me. I trust you, sweetie.

6:03 pm

Don't forget it, sweetie. It is very important to happen, okay? Meet her!

6:04 pm

Btw, wear your best clothes and perfume. Impress her sweetie. I know you can do it.

Natasha is a good woman. She's the responsible daughter from family Sy. She can handle their businesses very well so there's no doubt that she can be a good companion in life too. She's amazing! You'll never regret this day. Meet her okay? Meet her. Good luck sweetie!

I groaned for the second time around at what I read. This is stressful as hell. I combed my fingers through my hair out of frustration. I can't believe this! I thought I was just going to eat dinner with her and no other business at all like what she had said earlier over the phone call when I'm inside the car 'No more, no less' so what's this text message?

Is she playing games with me?

I shut my eyes tightly and massage my temple as if it was hurt. After a second, a warm hand caressed my hand and touched my head. Replacing my hand with her hands. She's the one who was massaging my temple right now. I slowly calmed down and felt relaxed.

"Why do you look stressed? Who texted you?" she asked. Concerned drew in her sweet voice. I just sighed and looked at her.

"My Mom. . .." I shortly replied and breathed deeply. I had no choice way back then but please, I hope my Mom stops controlling me as to who I will marry someday. I love Angela, I know that very well and I want her to be my wife. Only her, not my Mom's colleague's daughter named Natasha.

"She's just reminding me about something." I added as I comb my hair.

"Are you leaving?" there's a touch of sadness in her voice. My heart was saddened by what I heard. Her eyes look sad. Also, the curve on her lips slowly vanishes.

"No! No. . .." I answered quickly and comforted her with my hug.

"Maybe later. I'll go home at ten in the evening. I want to spend the rest of my hour with you. It will make my heart happy." I added and smiled tiredly as if I was stressed about what my Mom's messaged. It's so freaking stressful, indeed. No joke.

"Maybe, I think you should go home first. It looks like your Mom's messages are quite important." she commented.

"But-" I could no longer protest when she placed her pointed finger on my lips and spoke again.

"There are still many days, Clark. You can visit tomorrow if you want. Have breakfast with us." she suggested and put her hand down before giggling.

I can't help but smile while looking at her. Her smile is contagious. Oh, my angel.

"Alright, then." I replied and raised my two hands as a sign of defeat.

"I'll make it up to you tomorrow, morning. I'll be back." I promised and kissed her forehead. I hug her tightly. Her body is warmed. It is good to feel the heat radiated from her body onto mine.

Feels like heaven.

After a minute, I let go of the hug and held her arms. We stared into each other's eyes and later both smiled. She looked at me on every corner of my face as if she was memorizing every detail of it so I did. I glanced at every detail of her face too and gasped when her gaze suddenly landed on my nose and stopped on my lips. I breathe heavily and release it slowly because of the tension I felt throughout my body. I couldn't help but look at her lips as well. I secretly swallowed and breathed deeply.

Oh my...

My heart beats abnormally. It's beating so loud as if it is going to break my rib cage just to let it out of my chest. Butterflies started roaming inside my stomach which gave me an uncomfortable yet good feeling.

I know. . .. I know this time I can't any longer hold this strong feeling growing inside my heart. I've waited for so long, now that I'm already here, I'll not waste a single minute for nothing.

I grabbed her waist and slowly moved my face closer to her. She gasped at my sudden action and after a second, she closed her eyes as if she's letting me do what's running in my mind.

I gulp.

Shall I kiss her?
