The annual power generation can reach 5 billion kWh, and it will also be the largest hydropower station in Guangdong Province after completion.
Shajiao Power Plant was chosen in Humen Town, Guancheng, Pinlin, Zhujiang Estuary Humen Bay, which is located between Yangcheng, Pengcheng and Guancheng. It is planned to carry out three phases of the project, respectively building Shajiao A Power Plant, Shajiao B Power Plant, and Shajiao C Power Plant. Each power plant is equipped with 7 generator sets, each with an installed capacity of 300,000 kilowatts, with a total installed capacity of 6.3 million kilowatts. The total annual power generation can theoretically reach 55.188 billion kWh.
This is also the largest investment in the entire project!
Considering the loss and the difficulty of the power plant to ensure full power 24 hours a year, 365 days a year, this can almost ensure that in the future, even if the local thermal power plants in Hong Kong are demolished, the city's power supply can be ensured by relying solely on external power transmission.
