Chapter 31: The Tonight's Plan

"What took you so long in the lavatory, Dominixe?"

That was Papa's question as soon as I was in the carriage and felt it move. Arthur, Britanny, and Lambert were already expecting that I would be scolded for letting Papa wait.

"Pardon my tardiness, Papa."

He eyed me up and down before squinting his eyes at me after sniffing the air. His face contorted after that. "You fooled around," he concluded, not asked. "With who?"

I almost stiffened. Why did I feel that I had hickeys on my neck or shoulders? I stared intently at Papa.

"I had an interesting encounter with my target, Papa," I said, not feeling threatened under his gaze.

I already anticipated that he would know that I had fooled around. I deliberately did not take my bangle to hide my scent since this was what I wanted. Though the part of seeing Valerian and fooling around with him was not part of my plan, this was enough that I would make a convincing answer to him.

"You fooled around with him?!" Britanny asked, looking at me in disbelief. There was a look of envy written on her face. Seeing that made me want to slap her on how she fooled around with my fiance in my previous life.

I nodded. "Yes. Since I want to be closer to and study him, I have chosen the path that will make it easy. Though our encounter was quick, I had a wonderful sex experience with that man." My lips curled up into a furtive smile, showing that I had a villainous idea.

Lambert laughed shortly. "The reason is plausible, 2nd sister." He nodded, agreeing with me. "Do you see how that duke looked at Domi? I could see the chemistry between them. They even looked like they wanted to ravish each other." He wriggled his eyebrows at me. "And they both did."

"Exactly." I winked at Lambert before I turned at Papa, who was still looking at me and not saying a word. "With what we did, I am certain he will look for me again. In fact, he tries to kidnap me."

I was planning to opt that information out, but it would be more convincing to tell what happened earlier.

"He tried... to kidnap you?" Arthur asked in disbelief. "That is impossible... He would go to that length just to have you?" He laughed mockingly. "I do not think he would ever taint the Leveaux Duchy just to do that."

"I know what I saw." I rolled my eyes. "He even pricked me the injection here." I showed my arm where Valerian pricked me. It left a bruise there."He shot me a paralyzing potion, but it was ineffective on my body." I shrugged. I made sure Papa was seeing it so he wouldn't suspect a thing from me. Arthur was about to rebut again when I spoke. "Papa had even spoken with him. He even attempted to provoke Papa into wanting to be my betrothed." Their eyes widened in shock. "Such a bold act for someone I will kill soon."

I tried to mask my tone with nonchalant. I wanted to show them that I did not care about him, even though that was not the case.

"He did what?" Arthur looked like he wanted to pass out.

"Dominixe is right, Arthur. That man is annoying to the core," Papa said, huffing.

I smiled from ear to ear, but only on my mind, when Papa had finally bitten the bait I prepared for him.

"If it is true that he dares to do that, does it mean that he is really interested in Domi?"

"1st brother, something happened between them. It is certain now that Duke Leveaux is interested in Domi. Are you dumb or what?" Lambert said, ridiculing him. He even grinned at him.

Arthur squinted his eyes at him. "Shut up, Lambert. I am not talking to you."

"Then who are you talking to? Britanny? She cannot even utter a word." He even glanced at her and chuckled when Britanny glared at her. "See? She is furious right now. She cannot answer you." He stuck his tongue out. "Or is it Dominixe when she already explained everything?"

Arthur looked offended. "I am going to fucking kill you for disrespecting me, Lambert."

Lambert smirked, not threatened. "Oh, please. I wish to have a duel with you again, Arthur. With our lives at stake." He wriggled his eyebrows.

"Arthur. Lambert." Papa called their names in a firm tone, halting them.

Both of them flinched. "My apologies, Papa," they said in unison.

Papa scoffed and looked at me. "It seems that assigning you to him is a great idea at all. You are a perfect match for him as his opponent."

He was a perfect match for me since I was his mate, Papa. But you wouldn't know that fact.

I was about to speak when Britanny chimed in. "Papa, I can also do what Dominixe did. Assign me to one of the remaining dukes..." She frowned.

"No, not yet, Britanny." He shook his head before he turned to me. "I need to see how Dominixe shall pull this up."

That part was the moment I was waiting for. That was the cue I was seeking right at this moment.

"Papa, I have a different plan for him. I am thinking of not infiltrating his pack for a short while."

"What do you mean by that, Dominixe?" His tone sounded unhappy, but he did not raise his voice.

I fluttered my eyelids. "I wish to have him as my pet," I revealed what I had wanted to imply tonight.

My siblings gasped in no time. "Pet?!" they all said in unison as if what I said was something crazy.

Papa arched his eyebrow. "Make him your pet?" His tone was calm, not faltering.

As expected from Papa, who could mask his emotions completely. But since I had undergone his training, I could tell he was also surprised.

Slave... Yes, my plan for tonight was to ask Papa's permission to make Valerian my slave and not infiltrate his pack. To avoid my beloved mate having his miserable fate, he would be under my protection in the disguise of being my pet—my slave.

I would use what Britanny did in my previous life, just as how she made that rogue Alpha her pet.

If Papa had allowed her before, then it might work on me for being a favorable child in our household.

I smiled and clung to my father's arm, nodding. "Papa, do you remember your promise that anything I can wish for my birthday next month, you shall abide by it?"

"What about it? What does it have something to do with it?" His creasing forehead deepened more, bewildered at my words.

"I want him as my first toy—my birthday present." I smiled from ear to ear.

"Oi, oi, oi, Dominixe." Arthur, who was expected to disagree, had chimed in. "That is not part of Papa's plan. 'Annihilate the Alpha assigns to you with no mercy', that is our objective. Do you forget about that?" He sounded annoyed, wanting to blow off some steam.

"You are insane for suggesting that, Dominixe." Britanny couldn't help chiming in. "Do not be absurd for suggesting that, you bitch..." She growled, clenching her hand.

Lambert chuckled. "I agree with them." He shrugged.

"What makes you think you want him as your slave, Dominixe?" Papa asked in a dangerous tone.

He was looking at me as if he was belittling me. But I could see his soft spot for me as his favorite pup.

"I am interested in him, Papa," I added. "But in a sexual way. I want to use him as I please." He did not look convinced by my reasoning. I knew that since Valerian was a duke.

Getting him killed meant the whole Yuanzhong Kingdom would be shaken in fear. The fall of one of the horsemen could make the whole kingdom drop to its crestfallen state.

Even if there was a crown prince existed here. Without Valerian as one of the foundations, the balance between the royal lycan family and the aristocratic society would be imbalanced.

It already happened in my previous life. With Valerian's death, the crown prince ruling in the shadows was rumored to imply for coup d'etat. Valerian was one of his retainers, so losing him was a great blow on his part to become the Alpha King. That was why he was forcing it to take the throne from his father.

"Papa, Valerian Leveaux is one of the horsemen. I think that he should shoulder the sins of Ernest Dunn." He flinched a little upon the mere mention of the Alpha who traumatized him. That was good that he reacted to that. That was my plan. "He would also experience hell under our palms. I would avenge you and make the Duke of Alsfield suffer just as how Ernest Dunn made you suffer."

I softened my tone. I wanted to look convincing that I cared for him and that his first pup would do anything to protect him, even though that was not the case.

Do forgive me, Valerian. It would have been better if you suffered here instead of getting yourself killed. I would do anything to protect you once you were under my control.

"Would it have been better that one of the horsemen experience a hellish life as my slave instead of killing him? Let us give him a slow death." I fluttered my eyelids. "Papa... I have set my eyes on him. I want him as my pet. I already have a collar in my chamber, which suits him. Please grant my request."

To make it more convincing, I really purchased a collar a few days after Papa told me about my next assignment.

"Please let it be my birthday wish, Papa. Please grant it to me. Pretty please..."

"You are being too much, Dominixe." Britanny, who couldn't stay silent, barked. "You even dare to ask Papa that?"

"I agree with Britanny." Arthur disheveled his well-combed hair. "You have already asked a boon by having a vacation last month. And now this?" He scoffed. Bitterness was all over his face.

I turned at them earnestly. "I want him as my toy. I am bored. All of my prey did not get to experience much suffering physically. I want to do that. Then I would later make him suffer mentally by massacring his pack members," I said coldly before I smiled—an evil one, as if the bloodlust was seeking my whole sanity. "That is the great plan I have thought of. It will be a shame if I am not using his body for pleasure. I am feeling lonely lately, so..."

Lambert chuckled. "Domi, Domi... This is the first time you have set your eyes on an Alpha to use him as your playtoy." He looked amused as to what was happening right now.

"It is for my entertainment. But of course, Papa's entertainment as well." I glanced at Papa, who hadn't said a word. "Papa, I know that I am right." I smiled sweetly at him.

Say something, Papa. Do not make me wait here. I had been careful not to let Valerian admit that we were each other's mates to you. I had already changed my plans not to reveal it as well. So, you must freaking agree with me!

But he did not say anything while we were on our way home. I felt Arthur, Britanny, and Lambert's ridiculing stares. I did not falter at their stares but instead kept observing my father.

He did not utter a disagreement about my plan, so there was still hope in it.

"I shall think about it." That was what Papa said the moment we arrived at the Cantavalle estate.

My lips stretched out into a triumphant smile while my siblings gasped in no time. That meant that he would definitely agree with it!

"Thank you, Papa," I said politely, trying my best not to beam. I even curtsied before him when he walked past us.

"But Papa! Are you going to allow it?" Britanny asked, feeling jealous that Papa agreed to my request to have Valerian as my birthday present. "He must be dead since he is one of the most powerful Alphas in our kingdom! He must not become Dominixe's slave!"

But Papa did not pay heed to her and continued walking.

I went beside her, still smiling. "That Alpha is mine, Britanny. He is mine and mine alone," I declared.

To her annoyance, Britanny briskly took out her dagger that was in her thigh holster and pointed in my direction. She gasped when I happened to meet her dagger with mine.

"Dominixe!" Britanny barked.

That made me smile more since it had been a long time since Britanny attacked me. I would love to participate in this... where our lives were at stake, just as Lambert proclaimed.
