Chapter 40: To Tame

"Valerian!"

I was horrified since Warren and Valerian transformed into wolf forms before brawling until they reached the balcony. They even fell to the ground when Warren, in his gray wolf form, managed to get the upper hand on Valerian, who was in his black wolf form.

Valerian's werewolf form was bigger than Warren's since their werewolf status differed. Valerian was an Alpha, leader of the werewolf pack, while Warren was a Gamma, third in command.

Being the pack's Alpha, their sizes were not typical of an average werewolf. It was an elephantine one.

"They are destroying the garden!" Zoey passed out upon seeing that those two werewolves were ruining the garden as they brawled against each other. The garden was now a freaking mess.

I almost hissed. I should have known that Valerian was a jealous one. He was already annoyed by what I said earlier that I needed to sleep with Warren, which was not the case, and right now, he was making things worst!

Valerian was blinded by jealousy from what Warren said. I thought that it was easy, but it was more complicated than I thought. Even Papa's guards did not match Valerian's strength.

I must do something to halt him before he beats Warren to a pulp.

Lambert and Raphael laughed at the situation. "Things are going to be interesting, no, Lambert?" Raphael asked, grinning.

"Indeed. Brawling Alpha and Gamma! Put your bet now!" Lambert smirked and opened his hand to ask for a high-five from him.

"I am on Domi's pet. You?"

"Lord Warren, of course."

I glared at those two brothers of mine when they were making things worse. "Papa—" I turned at Papa, looking at the situation carefully.

"Marquis Cantavalle, my son will get hurt further if you do not let it stop!" Rorilin said, insisting that she wanted this to stop. She even shook her mate, Simbad. "Simbad, do something!" Then she turned at me, frustrated. "Lady Dominixe!"

I turned at Papa one more time. "Papa, your orders?" As much as I wanted to halt them, if I saw that Papa was not saying anything to halt this madness, I wouldn't dare to make a move even though I had been wanting to halt everything.

I kept ignoring my wolf, who wanted to protect Valerian so severely. Easy there, my wolf. We must not make haste.

Seeing Valerian, who was already blinded by jealousy and annoyance, he must be stopped before he ruined our household.

Damn it, honeydew...

"I can take Valerian down, Papa." Britanny volunteered with a smirk.

I ignored her as I was getting ready to rip my skirt. Just one order from Papa, and I would end it.

Unlike earlier, Papa looked so calm and collected, released a sigh, and turned at us. "Dominixe, tame your pet. Britanny, halt Lord Warren," he commanded in his frigid tone. "Do it now."

"As you wish, Papa," I said in my firm tone as I ruined my skirt so I could move freely.

"As you command, Papa," Britanny said in a giggling tone before she did the same thing to her skirt.

We both looked at each other, having this competition airing between us. A sly smile slithered on Britanny's lips while I had this empty smile as a response to her.

Britanny and I got ready before we started to run, relinquishing ourselves to boost as we jumped to the railings and pushed our legs to jump higher. That way, she and I held each other's hands as the rotation of our bodies was going ballistic. We had this smirk on our faces before we let go of each other.

My body was in a fetal position before I stretched out like a newborn baby pup and twirled in the air when I found Valerian, who was using his claws to wound Warren. Warren's wolf bellowed in pain while Valerian howled so loud as if he had won. However, that was interrupted when he sniffed the surroundings as if looking for my scent and rattled upon seeing me from the air.

"This shall be over, honeydew," I muttered.

That was when I prepared the paralyzing injection I kept in my thigh holster. Before I could land on the ground, I managed to kick Valerian out of Warren's top body lying on the ground, but Valerian was quick to use his forearms to protect himself from my kick.

I also shot him the paralyzing potion on his forearm as I cartwheeled to support myself from landing on the ground.

Valerian growled and tried to stand up, but his snout was buried in the ground.

I approached him, unfazed, but remained a few meters away. "That is how you shall inject someone with a paralyzing potion, honeydew. Make the potion a highly potent one." My lips curled into a smirk as I crouched to watch him closely before slightly tilting my head. "That is what you must do before kidnapping me." I caressed his wolf's head as he heaved out labored breaths.

That was the time he transformed back to his human form. "Dominixe..." A soft vibration emitted at the back of his throat before he tried to move, but he couldn't.

I only looked at him, not attempting to touch me. I must show Papa that I did not care about him.

"Huh..." Britanny said as she approached us. "Despite his lash injuries, he can still move splendidly even with his wolf form." She arched her eyebrow as she stepped on Valerian's back. "I really like this man to be with me, Domi."

My face darkened, not from her words but from how she kept stepping on Valerian. I stood up and approached her. "Stay away from my pet, Brit," I said, threatening her. "I appreciate our harmonized teamwork from a while ago, but I can forget that if you keep hurting my pet."

It was a rare circumstance that Britanny and I would be well coordinated for this kind of assignment. We did not get along well, to be honest.

"Oh? Try me then." Britanny faced me with a large smirk.

"I would love it. But do not blame me if I will kill you this time." I did not hesitate to point my dagger near her neck using the backhand position.

Britanny also did the same action as me. But her dagger was pointing at my flank.

"Girls, that is enough."

We both put down our hands at Papa's command. There was no need for him to repeat himself. Once he had already said his words, we must obey them without hesitation.

"Pardon me, Papa." I frowned when Britanny and I spoke in unison. Darn this bitch... She even frowned!

I cocked my head from side to side and turned at Eric and Jude. "Drag him back to my chamber. That man needs to learn a lesson not to disobey me." I turned at Papa, who was looking at me earnestly. "It is my carelessness that leads to this, Papa. Fret not, for I shall reflect on my actions." I even bowed my head.

"Indeed. With your carelessness as his owner, you fail to tame him." Britanny snorted. "I am capable of taming Valerian, Papa. Dominixe is not suitable for this assignment." She looked at me with a ridiculous glare.

I arched my eyebrow but did not say a word. I wanted to slap her right now. I wanted her to know that I was the one who would handle this.

"No need for that, Britanny." I almost smiled when Papa spoke. "That man seemed like a hardheaded one. He needs more beating." His tone sounded like Valerian pissed him off. "Natasha. Ingram. Jethro. Raphael."

That stiffened me when he called them. Wait... What was he going to do as to why he was summoning them? Was he going to order them to kill him?!

"Yes, Papa?" Natasha, Ingram, Jethro, and Raphael stepped forward to show themselves.

"Handle the punishment for that idiot starting tomorrow. The four of you shall have one day to inflict punishment for that misbehaving Alpha."

I could have sworn my blood boiled. I wanted to protest, but no words were coming out of my mouth. For certain, Papa was displeased with tonight's event since I did not get to achieve what he ordered from me by sleeping with Warren.

"As you command, Papa. We shall handle this and please you," they said in unison before they bowed their heads.

Papa looked at me with a deadpan expression. "While they are handling your pet for lessons to learn, you shall be dispatched to the Solacia and make an update on how you can execute your proposal of killing that man's pack members."

As much as I wanted to disagree and disobey his command, I shouldn't displease him anymore. "Yes, Papa. Your wish is my command," I said with an unfazed tone.

"Papa, I wish to go with Domi!" Ismael said with a beaming tone.

Arthur frowned, looking at him. "Why would you even want to go with her, Ismael? Papa dispatches Dominixe to scout the area alone, dumbass."

Ismael snorted. "Shut up, Arthur. I am not even talking to you." He looked at Papa again. "I have nothing to do, and you haven't assigned me any Alpha to kill this time. Plus, watching my lovely older sister and how she handles things would have been better. Right?" He wriggled his eyebrows, looking at me lustfully. "You know, we can have some escapades there while you are scouting, Domi. I know you like some wild things." He winked at me.

I almost shivered in disgust, but then I remembered that Ismael and I made it to show everyone that we were performing some incestuous relationship to hide our agenda and collaborate with each other.

A furtive smile crept into my lips to get along with him. "As much as I want to do them with you, brother, you should ask Papa's approval first." This was also great timing that I would need to see Henry and make an update about what was happening in our household and to Valerian.

"Alright. Ismael can go with Dominixe. So, you would know how she performs her duties," Papa said after carefully thinking before he turned his back to leave.

"Good night, Papa," we all said in unison.

"You two are really sleeping together?" Arthur asked when Papa had already left as he smirked, not believing what he was seeing right now.

"So?" I arched my eyebrow. "Is there any problem with that? Shall I tell you how good Ismael is, Arthur?" I almost puked about that. What the hell was I even spouting?

Ismael chuckled as he draped his arm over my shoulders. "He envies me. You sure want Dominixe, no, dear brother?"

Arthur smiled bitterly. "No. I would never dare to sleep with an illegitimate child." With that, he shook his head and started leaving.

One by one, all of them were leaving. Ismael and I were the only ones left here while Britanny glared at me one more time before entering.

"How long will you put your arm on my shoulders, Izzy? Do you wish me to cut it off?" I asked in my oh-so-sweet tone and turned to him.

Ismael instantly removed his arm from my shoulders. 'Well, don't I deserve a thank you since I am going with you tomorrow?' he asked through mind-link.

I glanced at him and scoffed only before I left him alone. 'I shall only thank you if we bring down Papa's legacy.' That was the only thing I could say before I went inside.

I rushed to my chamber, where Valerian was already sitting on the bed of the adjacent chamber. I felt relieved that he was alright now and could even move. It was a good thing that I instructed Airene earlier that if they brought Valerian here, she should bestow the antidote for paralyzed body and wounds from the wolfsbane to my honeydew.

There was a huge frown sitting on his face when our eyes met. However, I caught him eyeing me up and down. "Do not ask me if I am happy for tonight since that man really is getting on my—"

I cut him off by kissing him on his lips. Valerian groaned and wrapped his arms around me as he responded back to my kisses.

But he must have realized what I was doing so he broke our kiss. "No. I told you, Dominixe. You must not be supposed to—" As hard-headed as I was, I still cut him off as I played my tongue inside him and he did the same. "Halt it..." He groaned and distanced himself from my lips.

"Are you certain, honeydew?" I asked in my sultry pitch.

When he did not respond, I slowly pulled away from his embrace and his face. But Valerian chased my lips and slammed his lips into mine.

I moaned inside his mouth as I felt the soft mattress on my back. But he gently pulled away so we could stare into each other's eyes. Even his chartreuse eyes were sparkling in lust as he had this sinful smirk plastering on his lips.

His thumb gently brushed my wet lower lip before he drew closer. "Did I do well for this act tonight, honeydew? Have I done it properly according to your plan?"

I looked at him, surprised. "How did you..." I paused and smirked when I knew I couldn't escape his judgment the moment his eyes hinted that he knew they were part of my plans.

Yes.

Everything that had happened tonight was according to my plan.

That included provoking Valerian so he could brawl Warren and beat him to a pulp.

"Do not be shy. Admit it." Valerian took my hand and kissed my palm softly, looking at me lovingly.

My heart skipped a beat. Chuckling, I nodded and caressed his handsome face. "Indeed, honeydew. You did well. I appreciate your cooperation." With that, I smashed his lips into mine to reward him.

And this was the conclusion of my first revenge on Warren Porter.
