I want you, Mira..
“Mira, c'mon open the door.” Lisa called out, knocking repeatedly on the door but Mira never answered.
She slipped her phone out of her pocket and called Mira’s number but sadly Mira cut the call.
“Patience. Patience.” Lisa whispered to herself and shoved at her hair. Then another knock.
Getting no one response again, Lisa turned around with a sigh. Seriously, Mira’s avoiding her like a leper now?
Lisa gazed into the street at the neighbors houses. She saw some of them walking their dogs and one old woman mowing her lawns. She doesn’t know what pushed her but Lisa moved close to the woman.
“Hi.” She waved.
The old woman adjusted her glasses. Red lipstick sit perfectly on her lips. She gave Lisa a smile and dropped her machine to drift close.
“Hi. How may I help you, young lady?” The woman’s voice was wavering in between her sentences but not less sonorous.
“Do you by any chance know if your neighbor….”Lisa waved behind her at Mira’s house and pressed on. “Is around?”
The woman’s face wrinkled as she thought. She shook her head and stared at the old man walking out onto her porch.
“Brimsley do you perhaps anything about our neighbor?”
The wedding bands on their fingers already made it known to Lisa they’re couples. The old man stuttered.
“I saw…a girl moving out from there barely fifty fives minutes ago. Boarded a taxi and told him to take her to the sub station.” The man offered which got Lisa anxious.
She was already speaking before she thought twice about her question. “Was she carrying any sorta bags?”
The man gave a nod. “Oh, yeah I think.”
“Great, thanks for the info.” She hurriedly said and zoomed off. She didn’t hear when the old woman offered her a cup of Earl Grey.
Lisa boarded a taxi to the sub station and prayed endlessly within her that Mira hadn’t left.
They arrived in record time and she threw some notes to the driver and sprang off, searching for Mira.
She knows that once Mira leaves Sin city, she'd never show her face ever again. That’s how much she had hurt Mira.
Lisa cussed herself for not seeing things for what they were. Mira would have been the one to give her all sort of attention she'd always craved. Really, the girl was honest to the bones.
Lisa held her heart in her throat and threw her eyes around, looking for Mira. She got to the counter and described Mira to the man there and he confirmed Mira’s train left for Los Angeles.
“Oh, shit. Shit.” She cussed, fisting her hair. “How long?”
“Not long. The train literally left now.” The man responded. “Any problem?”
“I need a ticket. Hand me one, please.” She ruffled her bag until she found some cash.
“Oh, that’s not gonna be enough. It’s sixty five dollars, ma’am.” He said, staring at the twenty dollar note Lisa had.
She clicked her tongue. “No issues. I have my card. Just hurry and give me the ticket.” She slid her card over the desk and the man debited her.
Getting the ticket, Lisa hurried over, toppling those wanting to get into the train and got settled on a seat. All jumpy, she prayed she’d meet Mira there.
Bunch of expletives left Lisa’s lips when she found out she had dozed off along the way. She threw her gaze at the woman beside her and asked. “Excuse me, how close are we to L.A?”
“Ten minutes close.” The woman supplied.
“Great, thanks.” She rubbed her hands together in anticipation.
When the train stopped, Lisa got down, dragging her gaze around. Hordes of people in the station made it difficult to search. Lisa weaved through bodies, spaces, searching.
“I can’t believe I’ve lost her…” She sighed, face palming. In the midst of her thoughts, she mindlessly began a backward stride until she bumped into someone.
The feminine voice didn’t sound familiar at first but Lisa already whirled around, readying to say sorry, only to see her.
At that moment, everything around them froze. It’s was as if they got wrapped in their own world, their eyes locked on each other.
When she got a bit of her senses, Lisa flushed Mira into her arms, combing her fingers through Mira’s tangled hair.
“Hey, stop.” Mira uttered lowly, pushing herself away from Lisa’s embrace. “What do you want?”
Smacking her lips, Lisa shoved her hand into her pockets, shrugging. “I’m sorry.”
Damn, offering apology was never in the cards for Lisa which was why she found it hard to spill.
“Okay. Fine. I’ve heard you…Lisa.” Mira muttered, tucking her hair behind her ear, she turned and boarded a taxi.
The man got down and started hauling Mira’s carryall into the trunk.
“Look, Mira I mean it.” She blurted, pausing Mira from moving forward.
Mira thought she had gotten stronger. She thought she had moved on but the sight of Lisa makes her want to stay. But how can she stay knowing Lisa harbors grudges for someone innocent?
“I was too blinded to see it, Mira. I thought my mama’s style of pursuing whatever you want until you get it would work out for me but it didn’t. It didn’t even work for her.”
As Mira turned the breeze whipped her hair a bit. “So?”
“Mira, I figured you're right about following someone that loves you…” She closed the distance between them for the tiniest bit. “But this time, you won’t be only you loving. I guess I’m already into you a much as you're to me.”
Mira’s heart thundered at Lisa’s words. She almost drew close to Lisa. Almost flushed herself in Lisa’s arms. Dang it! This feelings can make someone do hella crazy things. Mira bit hard on lower lip, tapping her foot hard on the asphalt.
“What do you want, Lisa?” Mira threw Lisa her brand of question. Surprisingly, Lisa wasted no time to spill it out.
“I want you, Mira. Just give me a chance to make things right again. Please.” She practically pled.
The softness of her voice already had Mira’s pussy moistening.
“Can only forgive you if you do one thing.”
“Which is?” She asked, tensed.
“Right the wrong you did in Kate’s life. You should meet her. Make things right. Maybe then I might consider you. Us. Again.” She walked to the car, trying to open it but Lisa rushed towards her and held her from behind.
“I'll do, I swear it. Please, Mira come back with me. Please.” She said, breathing into the crook of Mira’s neck.

***Two Weeks Later ***
“Grandpa…you don’t want to eat donuts with me again? Why?” Gabby’s voice rattled as he pressured Kate’s father to have some donuts with him.
It’s being a week since his return from the hospital and two weeks since Kate has been in New Orleans with them.
Gabby had been happier. Same with Tiffany and their father.
The house felt more warm. Although Kate had been quite sick for about three days now. No, it’s not s severe one but Tiffany had urged her to visit a doctor which Kate left in the morning to do.
Aiden had been asking Kate for the best place they could start a new life with Gabby and surprisingly, he worked his way on making Kate to be admitted into the American Film Academy, where she could pursue her dreams of being an actress.
As for Gabby, he'd paid for private classes until they decide on the best place to relocate before they can enroll him into school.
The tension between Alex and Aiden has depreciated a little after Alex apologized and made it known to Aiden that he'd leave the country and never bother them in life again.
Alex sort for the quiet island in Oslo and decided to move there, and would leave early tomorrow, he'd leave forever.
No more Aiden. No Kate. No more family bonding. It is a bitter pill to swallow but Alex felt he doesn’t deserve to be in their lives again.
“Boy, I told you I can’t eat donut. You want me to fall sick again?” David answered Gabby who whined.
“Fine, I’m gonna call my daddy to eat it with me. I don’t like eating alone and you know it, granny.” He pouted, throwing the donut into its box.
“Ugh…Gabby, don’t coax him to eat that, please? You want him to fall sick again?” Tiffany moved out onto the porch, watching as Gabby tried to make David eat the donuts.
“Come eat with me then, aunt T?” He shot to his feet and held one donut for Tiffany. She sighed and collected even though she doesn’t feel like eating. That’s how Gabby does, everyone around him must eat whatever you give him before does.
While Tiffany was munching on the donut, a taxi pulled by and Kate stepped out.
She silently walked across the yard to the porch.
“Hey..” She pecked her dad and sister. And then carried Gabby. Tiffany was already needling Kate with her eyes.
“How was it?” Tiffany asked.
Sighing and shrugging, Kate let out. “Positive. “
David and Tiffany scrunched their brows as Kate nestled Gabby onto her lap, kissing his cheeks.
“What’s positive?” Their father asked.
“My pregnancy…”
Oh, well silence followed her admission . David was still trying to cope with the idea that Kate was dating the two brothers but hearing that from Kate, he knew there’s nothing he can do about their triad relationship.
“Which one of them?” Tiffany asked, worried.
“It should be…Alex. He was the last with me after I removed my IUD.”
“Well, then you should call him.”
“No need. I'll travel to Las Vegas Tomorrow. I need to get some of my things there too.” Kate offered.
She wondered how Aiden would take the news. Despite that, Kate’s happy she’s carrying Alex’s child.
