Chapter 13 Pain and Pleasure

“I’m a hybrid,” he said nonchalantly.

What?

One second he was standing in front of me. Then the next his body just dematerialized into thin air. I did not even get the chance to blink before I felt a hand grabbed me from behind.

He twisted my arm so that the knife fell to the floor and pulled my body to him. I gasped at the sudden movement, and to the freaky realization that the man just defied time and space.

His arms locked my body in a tight embrace and I found myself unable to break free.

“What are you doing?” I tried to use my body momentum, flinging my legs to the air and dropping all of my weight to push the man to the floor with my back. But his body would not budge. That was when I realize how honed and big his body was. All parts of his body were muscles.

He sniffed my hair. “You smell really sweet,” he whispered.

Then his nose touched the skin of my neck. An electrical feeling erupted inside of me. He sniffed my neck and I could feel my heart beating rapidly. Then I felt something sharp grazed my skin. The hairs behind my neck stood up. It suddenly felt chilly despite his warm embrace.

Holy fucking shit!

As my kitchen was built across from my living room, I could see myself from the TV screen reflection. I blinked because, at first sight, it was not making any sense. But the reflection had not changed. I blinked twice.

The superstar had his fangs out on my neck. Fangs.

Fangs.

And they were not just ordinary human fangs. No. It was sharp and long fangs like the ones you see on… let’s say the word together on three. One. Two. Three.

Vampires.

My lips would not stop trembling as I saw our reflection. His heat radiated to my body. It was hot. So hot that sweats had formed on my forehead. He was like a furnace, burning me with his touch. My legs became weak and I swore I could have crumbled to the floor had he not embrace me.

Then I saw his fangs descended unto my skin through the reflection. There was one millisecond of nothingness as I saw his eyes glowed silver. My neck felt damp and something was trickling down through my clothes.

The pain came a millisecond later. It was sharp and fast. A whimper came out of my mouth. I wanted to scream but my trembling lips kept me from forming coherent words. As I felt a warm liquid trailing down my shirt, hot liquid burnt my eyes and came pouring down my cheeks.

He dug his fangs deeper into my skin. His canines pierced through my flesh like a knife to butter. He must have crushed the free-ending nerves near my skin surface, the nerves that make you able to feel pain. The damage on my skin stimulated those nerves and it sent electrical signals to my brain to raise the red flag of danger. Normally, instinct would override and our muscles would move without us knowing to avoid the pain stimulator.

But the hormone created by a small piece in the middle brain called the amygdala took control of my whole brain. Amygdala releases hormones that make you either fight or flee and oftentimes, paralyzes your body. That part of our brain is no more than the size of a peanut, comes in pairs, and it made us feel fear.

In my case, my amygdala made my body shook so much. I could hear the rattle of my teeth, while I started to lose the sensation on my legs. The pain intensified and the fear grew immensely when I heard a suckling noise from beside me.

I did not know how long time had passed. It seemed endless yet it did not feel like time had moved at all. My sense of reality felt jumbled.

Suddenly, I felt something hard grind against my back. One of his hands started descending on my body. It passed my breast and continued to travel until it reached my thighs. He unzipped my pants and in a blink of an eye, his fingers had traced down my garden.

He stroked past my clit and repeated the motion.

An explosion of sensation overcame my body. The pain was overwhelming but underneath that was the feeling of... pleasure. The latter was building steadily as he kept stroking my panties. My mind seemed haze. The fear had been cast aside by the growing fire of ecstasy. And when his fingers snuck inside the fabric, when he traced my clit directly with his finger, I knew then that the ecstasy had won.

I moaned at the feel of his rough skin on my core.

Instinctively, I arched my back and threw my head back, giving the superstar more access to my neck. He slurped my blood more greedily. At the same time, he entered one finger inside me.

Shit!

I never knew that pain can make pleasure so blindingly ecstatic. A crazy voice crept in the back of my mind, it was craving for more pain and more pleasure. It was crazy. I never thought I was into that BDSM shit… I never thought of myself as being submissive.

But right then, I wanted to submit. To the pain. To the pleasure.

To him.

My core was wet like never before and the fiery urge of desire had blossomed inside of me. Once that urge takes roots inside, there is almost no running away from it.

So when my mouth suddenly moved by itself, I almost wanted to slap my own face, “S¬– stop…”

I was pretty sure I stuttered. My voice was so small that it was more like a whimper. I did not even make an effort for my voice to be heard. Yet he stopped sucking my blood. And he stopped caressing my woman garden. Though both his fingers and fangs were still inside me.

I looked at the reflection on my black TV screen. His eyes were glowing with ferocity like a beast who had just been caged. We were both panting. I was panting from the sensations while he seemed to be panting from holding himself back.

There was one second of silence. No one moved.

I could use the chance to break free from him. I knew that. But did I want to?

“Stop,” I said with more clarity despite him already stopping. He released his fangs from my skin.

“Urgh!” I shrieked at the pain the movement gave me. Blood gushed out from the bite wounds.

“Arianna,” he growled to my ear, “Please…”

It was the first time he called me without ‘Miss’. His breathing was ragged as I felt something hardened even more behind me. That was when I knew that the stick rubbing against my back was his ‘big’ manhood.

He was not lying.

At least, it felt big.

What I did not understand was why he stop when I said so.

“Release me,” I said in a small voice. He growled in my ear again but he obeyed me. His fingers were out from my core and he released his embrace on me. I slumped to the floor and immediately crawled to some distance from him.

He stepped forward but when I commanded, “Stop!” he stopped. “Don’t come closer!” He only stared at me.

He is obeying me…

I frowned in confusion. But I had to make sure. “Kneel.”

He growled at me again, obviously not happy with my command. Nonetheless, he did as I told him too. The superstar who was the huge wolf that helped me and the vampire that almost raped me, was kneeling on the floor.

Am I like… his Alpha or some shit?

I never really understood how the werewolf hierarchy works. Let alone how the hybrid –according to what he said –hierarchy works. Hell, I did not even know they existed in the first place.

In the back of my mind, I still considered the possibility that this was all my hallucination. And yet the stuff I have seen and experienced that day… the pain on my neck and the lingering sensation between my thighs…

It was real.

And I did not know what to do about it. So, I did what any sane person would do.

No, Karen. If you think I would ask for an explanation from this hybrid who almost raped me –though at one point my body gesture suggested that I liked his touch –you are absolutely wrong. I would not do what any characters in paranormal stories usually do, venture into the unknown.

Nope. I already had my fair share of trouble. I did not need to know this whole paranormal business.

So, what did I do?

Obviously, I commanded him, “Leave this place.”

His eyes widened to my cold tone. “Miss, please–“

“Now!”

His body shook a little. He seemed to be fighting something invisible. In a few moments, his glowing silver eyes faded, returning to the grey eyes she had seen in the morning. He started to stand though his body gestures suggested that he was reluctant about it.

When his own feet dragged him to my door, he pleaded with me again, “Please…”

For one nanosecond, I almost wanted to take back my words and jumped to him. Demanding him to finish what he had done to my body. The pain was still clearly felt on my left neck as well as my dripping core.

But then he sniffed the air and said, “I could smell you want it too. I could satisfy you.”

He just had to ruin it for himself.

“Out! Now!” I screamed.

He opened the door and got out of my apartment. As soon as he was out, I closed the door and locked it immediately. When I looked through the security camera on my door, he was still standing outside.

Honestly, I found it weird that he was obeying my every command. He could have done whatever he wanted with me disregarding my will. And he seemed to be determined to go through with it. Yet the moment I gave him commanding words, he reluctantly obeyed it.

I waited for about a minute before finally commanding him again through the door, “Go home, Renald Davis! Don’t come near me again!”

He growled on the other side of my door. I could even feel the vibration on the wood. And for a second I felt the chill crept on my spine again.

But he then stepped back. He looked at the camera, his eyes meeting mine through the screen next to my door.

It happened so fast. Bones broken and reshaped themselves, muscles flexed, and skin turned to fur. Suddenly, the one staring at her through the screen was no longer a human. It was the huge brown wolf.

It howled. Loud and long. Before finally jumping from the building through the balcony on the second floor.

The next thing I knew was that all doors on the second floor were opened. People rushed to the balcony asking, “What was that?” “A wolf in Manhattan?”

What was that? I would like to know about that myself. But I decided not to.

This is not some fantasy story where the human girl meets a handsome paranormal being and is swept away to a life full of adventure. No. This is my life.

I preferred to live as a normal human being than being swept away into dangers. At least, I thought so.
