Chapter 49 )

None of the Underworlders dared to speak up. The vampires that were hissing at me took steps back. The werewolves that were growling at me whimpered in fear. The warlocks looked shocked and some of the fairies were shivering.

It felt amazing to finally show how they could not toy with my life anymore. It felt divine to have control over my life. Take that, you annoying Underworlders.

Lex suddenly laughed out loud. He grabbed his stomach as though I was being funny. It annoyed me greatly, and I was about to reprimand him when suddenly he said to the entire garden, “The ones who object the Dark Lord will have to go through me first.”

I realized what he was doing. He made sure the Underworlders know he had my back. Our eyes locked, and I sent him silent gratitude.

“You’ll have to go through me too,” Tony said beside me.

“Me too,” Renald said.

Michael shrugged. “Me three.”

I smiled at the boys, feeling full because they had my back. It felt nice to be supported, to not be alone anymore, to have someone who could guard my back. I didn’t know why it took me to die and be a Dark Lord to realize that I do need someone else in my life. I could not just live as Arianna Adler, alone until dead picks me up. Even when my life was on a deadline, it should not be an excuse to push everyone away.

The Underworlders didn’t retaliate any further. They had seen my power and, knowing the four powerful princes had my back, all they could do was to bow and finally acknowledge me as the Dark Lord.

Besides, me being the Dark Lord might be the preferable option to some of them than making Renald, Tony, or Michael as the Dark Lord. I could still see them looking up at Lex, hoping he was the Dark Lord, but he had my back. So they followed Lex’s lead.

Lex kneeled one knee to me first. Then Tony, Renald, and Michael did the same. Then finally, one by one, all Underworlders kneeled to me. I grinned widely.

That was easier than I thought. Of course, going forward would be hard. I could see that some Underworlders would still be reluctant to follow my orders, but I would take things one day at a time. After all, the constraint of time had been lifted from me. I have all the time in the world now until it is time for me to choose another Dark Lord in that ancient cycle.

I had become a different Arianna than before I started this journey. And I promised myself I would learn the ropes to become a fit guardian of the Underworlders. I learn fast, I am smart, so I was not worried.

As the night progressed, Tony teleported us back to the mansion, specifically, to my room. We were quiet for a while.

I sat on the edge of my bed.

“So… what now?” Renald asked.

“I want to shower and sleep,” I said.

The princes all nodded. “We would leave you to it then,” Tony said, “but tomorrow… as the Dark Lord…”

“Tony, let’s think about it tomorrow,” I said, “Also, thank you all for having my back.”

They smiled at me warmly. Even Michael. “Always,” Tony said.

Then each of them walked out of my room. But I called Lex to stay back. He obeyed.

“Lex,” I asked, “You were the one who called my name just before I died, weren’t you?”

He looked me straight in the eye. “I honestly don’t remember,” he said, “I only remembered an intense fear of losing you. Ann, I can’t lose you.”

“And I am not saying this to you as you are the Lady, I am saying this as you are Arianna. I… never felt like this with the other Ladies and it scared me so much to lose you.”

I walked to him and put my palms on his cheeks. “And now I am the Dark Lord,” I said to reassure him, “You won’t lose me easily like that again.”

He inhaled the scent of my skin. “You do smell like an immortal now.”

We both smiled.

I was just drowned in his deep blue eyes. They were beautiful. They shone to me. And I just could not help but tiptoe and kissed him. It was not even a passionate kiss. Just a peck.

When I withdrew my lips, he looked me in the eye. Then he leaned down to kiss me deeper, claiming my lips to his. His hands drew my hips closer and somehow, I found my legs jumping up and wrapping themselves around his waist.

He carried me to the bed and sat with me on his lap.

But we stopped when the door was opened abruptly. We both looked at the intruder. It was Tony.

“Hey, you said you were going to shower,” he protested, “Why does he get to do that to you?”

For a moment I was stunned to see Tony showing his jealous side blatantly. Then I chuckled. “Would you like to join too?”

Tony suddenly went red on the face. His yellow eyes glinted in the dim-lit room. That was enough answer from him that he did want to join us.

And I wouldn’t mind sharing myself with two males. Being an immortal had invigorated me.

“Can I join too?” asked Renald from behind Tony.

“Sounds fun,” Michael also said with a grin, “Count me in.”

I blinked. I have never taken two guys at once. And I was about to take four guys at once. I mean, I only have three holes, and one of them is off-limit. No way. I hear it hurts too much. I guessed I have to use both of my hands.

But, it was time to test the new stamina that came with me with being the Dark Lord. So, I agreed. Of course, I made sure each of the men was fine with it, too. Lex and Tony each were quite reluctant to share me, Renald was just Renald, and Michael was the most eager. I think he secretly wanted to f*ck the other guys too just for the sake of messing with them.

All four of us ended up in a passionate entanglement with each other. Tony and Lex seemed to compete on who could please me better. They were really doing me extra, and I fell out of breath a couple of times. But because of their competition, I ended up wanting to tease them by choosing Renald more than the others. I allowed Renald to sip my blood while we were doing it too. I made that over two hundred years boy moaned like there was no tomorrow repeatedly.

In the middle of our play, we took turns showering, only to drench ourselves with sweats again later on. My stamina has increased a lot, along with my lust too, it seems. I just wanted more, and I knew I could do more.

Michael finally convinced me to try the backdoor too.

Let’s just say, even with my heightened stamina as an immortal, I passed out at dawn. Give me a break, okay. I just revived from death. I wanted to sleep too.

The supernatural boys slept in my room, as well.

And I knew then, moving forward with them would still be crazy, dangerous, and full of passion. But why should life be dull? As someone who had lived with a time limit, I suggest that you live a life serving your own soul. Go live a life that will fulfill your soul and no one else's, live a life that will make you feel complete.

It doesn’t matter if it is too crazy, too random, or too absurd. Just live. And have fun :).
