The Taste of Begum's Blood

Sultan POV

I was walking towards the Royal Court for some work. I was quite happy as the day was ahead. I was waiting for it for a very long. Finally, I could see some light of hope in my dream. Finally, I was confident about my plan for Vishaka.

I knew that Rajvardhan was someone who likes ladies. There was no chance that he wouldn't fall for our Vishaka. She was milky white. Her body had the best curves. Her skin was like rubber, which could easily make any man go crazy for her.

I was so happy that I could easily imagine myself stepping on Hind's thrown. I could easily imagine myself travelling both the Empire's time to time. I giggled a little. By the time I reached the courtroom, I ordered a drink for everyone present. I was feeling happy.

Suddenly, I remembered that I still hadn't sent that letter to Murat.

I quickly placed the glass back on the table which I was holding. I stood up from the couch and moved back to the chamber.

I crossed the galleries, gardens and in a short span of time reached my chamber. I entered my chamber and my sight fell on Begum Sahiba who were roaming in the chamber from here and there. Her fingers were trembling and I could sense that she was in the middle of thoughts.

"What happened, Begum Sahiba"

She shivered suddenly and looked at me.

I could see the fear in her eyes, I thinned my eyebrows as I didn't know what happened.

"Are you tensed?" I asked.

"No" She replied instantly.

"Have you ate your breakfast?" I asked concerning her health.

She quickly nodded her head.

I didn't know what was she up to but it was weird. I brought my focus back to the work for which I came running here.

I quickly sat on the couch near the table and lowered my hand to open the letters compartment. My hand reached the hook and I opened it. I quickly brought out the letters and then took them out.

I searched for that particular letter and called Nagma.

"Nagma" I called.

She came running quickly and said.

"Yes Sultan, Tell me"

"Nagma, Ask someone to give this letter to Murat" I ordered.

Suddenly, her face changed colour. She weirdly looked at Begum Sahiba and I followed her sight. Then she quickly looked back at me.

"Sure, Sultan"

She took the letter and went from there.

I placed all the letters back and went back to the Royal court to proceed with the hearings.

I started walked back to the court and walking through the gallery and then suddenly a male attendee came running to me.

"Sultan, Sultan"

He was one of those who were aware of how much Vishaka was important to me.

"Sultan, Murat... Murat..." He was struggling to breathe badly as he came running.

"What happened to Murat?" I asked thinning my eyebrows.

"Sultan, Murat killed Vishakha," He said finally.

"Are you out of your mind?" I asked.

"No Sultan, I have seen with my eyes," He said always falling on his knees.

"What the hell? But why the hell Murat killed Vishakha." I asked.

"I don't know, Sultan Please, I don't know what happened." He said in nervousness and fear.

I quickly turned my steps towards her chamber. I didn't know what happened but if it was true I won't be leaving Murat anyhow.

I reached her chamber and I stepped inside. The sight in front of me shook me to the core. Vishakha was lying dead on the floor covered in blood and then my sight fell on Murat whose cloth was also stained in all blood.

"Murat!" I screamed.

"How dare you? Murat!" I asked instantly grabbing her neck and pushing its head.

"Sultan, Sultan... I got this letter from you," he said in a shivering tone and I couldn't believe what letter he was talking about.

"What letter Murat!, I only sent you a letter just a moments ago"

He was shivering with fear and crying aloud.

"Sultan, This letter" He gave me a letter and it was also stained in blood as he was holding it for a while.

I couldn't believe which letter he was talking about. I quickly opened it and the rug swept through the floor.

Dear Murat,

This is to inform you that there is a slight change in the plan. We are not sending Vishakha anywhere because she has become quite harmful for us too. We don't need her anymore. We are searching for a better venomous girl than her. And it's my order to you to kill her right away. I don't want any moments to delay after you receive this letter.

I couldn't believe it had a royal stamp stamped on the perfect place, the handwriting was similar and it was something that actually written just as I write. But, who the hell was he? Who the hell tried to bring misfortune in my dream again.

And without needed to waste any moment, I realised who it could be. There was only one person here who was that much daring.

I quickly moved back to my chamber and only I knew how badly my blood was boiling. I wanted to kill her right away. She was one who was in the middle of my success.

I stepped into my chamber and my sight fell on her sitting on the edge of the bed. Just as she noticed me entering the chamber, she stood up.

I quickly moved to her and my hand grabbed her neck automatically pushing her against the pole of the bed while roaring.

"How dare you?"

Her face turned red as she was unable to breathe because of the pressure applied to her neck. I heard her bangles giggles when she was trying to get rid of my hold.

I went a little more closely and my voice was out of order.

"How dare you? Gulaab"

A tear fell from her eyes and I saw her eyes getting closer, she was about to pass out. I left her neck in a jerk and she started coughing badly.

"Why the hell you are after my success? You know very well it's my dream. I want to become the king of Hind and your small frame. How the hell you dared to send him a letter?"

She stopped coughing at looked at me.

"If your success's road goes through my brother's life. I would never ever in my consciousness let you succeed. What you think, why did I marry you? I am your biggest misfortune sultan. You lost the Hind the day you thought to marry me. It's better that you forget Hind and live your life peacefully and let me live mine too." She said in rage and I could see the same kind of anger in her voice too. I didn't know it before that she could roar like this. I didn't know that she could be that much harmful to me. I couldn't think that she could plan such a thing. I thought she was a simple, foolish girl.

"Shut up, Begum Sahiba. I will win Hind someday and you will see that clearly." I said.

"Of course," She said.

"For now, I won't leave you like this. You deserve punishment. You are a very mannerless girl. You know, I just want to kill you right now. But No, I want you to see your brother dead and me enjoying success." I roared back near her cheeks.

I could feel her shivering and getting scared but her power did not seem to be affected. I grabbed her waist and pushed towards the couch. I turned her hand towards her back and she cried in pain.

Her cries made me feel relax for a moment and then she said something that hit me really hard.

"You have lost it already, Sultan"

"And it's all because of you." I roared leaning into her ear.

"You are very beautiful, right? You think yourself a Queen of somewhere. I will ruin your beauty just like you spoiled my light of hope" I said.

We were so close in the situation. I was almost hovering her standing in front of her. She seems scared but not afraid of me.

"I am not afraid of you and neither of anyone, not even of death" She muttered and I could feel her blood rushing to her cheeks.

Honestly, I was attracted to her. I liked when she backfires me but this time she really hurt me moreover I understood that my fight was with her before his brother. I had to make her loose before making her brother.

Suddenly, when I figured out what punishment I wanted for her. I called.

"Nagma..." My voice was extremely high and I saw Nagma came running within a few moments.

"Ji Sultan," She said in a shivering tone.

"Call the Barber Nagma!" I said looking into Begum's eyes.

A tear fell from her eyes and she lowered her gaze.

Nagma left without saying anything and within a few moments, The barber was present there.

"Listen, Carefully. Shave her head" I said and my anger was dripping badly from my tongue.

"Sultan," The muttered.

"Do you have any problem?"

"No, sultan," She said.

Nagma had sent the lady barber and that was sensible of her.

To enjoy the event I peacefully lied on the bed holding the glass of alcohol in my hand.

My sight was fixed on Begum Sahiba whose eyes were dripping tears continuously and then she sat on the couch in front of the couch walking slowly. I drunk the alcohol as It was going to be difficult. I really used to like ladies long hair and I saw her very long braid. But, I wanted to see it.

She sat facing the other direction and then she slipped her veil. My sight fell on her huge hair bun and then on her revealing back. My sight again fell on her black mole and I lowered my gaze.

"Open your hairs, Begum Sahiba" Barber said.

Following her direction, she slowly pulled the hairpin out and her huge, voluminous hair fell down till earth. I was finished at that moment. My eyes stuck open and my mouth hung open. Her hairs were shiny and slightly curly at the edge. A thought instantly hit my mind.

"Unki zulfe khuli kuch is qadar...

Ki jese dariya me sailaab aa gaya ho,

Unki ek ek lat hazaroo me bikhar gayi...

Jese koi tufaan ka paigam aa gaya ho,

Hume laga ki us dariyan ko sukha denge...

I was awestruck at the moment, I honestly never saw her open hairs before but the moment I registered what was in front of me. My world stopped. For some moment, I had no knowledge of anything other than her heart.

I was attracted, amazed, awestruck and what not. Then, I realized that the barber was about to touch her scalp with the blade.

"Stop!" I said instantly standing up from the bed.

"Umm, I mean I will do it myself," I said snatching the blade from her hand and continued.

"You can go"

She left instantly and I looked at Begum who stood up and walking away from me. I quickly grabbed her hand and pulled her closer. Her hairs waved beautifully.

"You are very bad," She said and I could see her teary eyes.

I grabbed her waist and forced her to sit on the couch. I hovered over her and grabbed her neck.

"If you ever tried to do this again I won't be leaving you"

My lips were just a few inches away from her and I was still angry with her.

"If you ever again tried to kill my brother again, I won't be stopping."

The moment she said my sight fell on her lips muttering. My lips touched her in anger and then my teeth bit her lip with harshness. She cried in pain and her hands started were pushing me again and again. I tasted her blood and then there was no stopping.
