Sultan is Madly in Love

Gulaab POV

I woke up when I heard the light snoring of him. I lifted my eyelashes only to notice that it was early morning.

I tried to move my head but it was hurting a little in my neck. A slow cry escaped my mouth when I lifted my face to look at Sultan.

He was sleeping soundly, his hand still holding me. I diverted my gaze to his hand that was touching my waist. His tanned hand having light hair looked so huge in comparison to mine. I touched his hand only to move it away from me.

But he moved slightly over me in deep sleep. He kept his heavy leg on mine and I froze for a moment. His hand raked from the waist to my shoulder unknowingly touching my bosom in middle.

My heartbeat raced when he kept his heavy arm over me and kept his face closer to my neck.

I looked at his sleeping face from the corner of my eyes and I dared not to move even a bit.

He unknowingly pushed his midriff closer to me and groaned lightly.

What the hell is he doing?

I closed my eyes when he moved one more time and I realized that he opened his eyes. I kept my eyes close as I was feeling nervous a lot.

He moved his hand first, might be realizing his mistake and I took a breath of relaxation. He also moved his legs away from me and turned his face to the other side getting back to sleep again.

I opened my eyes and stepped down from bed slowly not to disturb him.

I looked back at the bed having shrunk bed sheets and a heavy Sultan lying over the bed.

I noticed my hair falling over my shoulder and remembered how he loosened my braid last night. I didn't know but I saw a very caring and beautiful sight of him last night. Even yelling at him so many times, he didn't do anything. I realized how patient he was.

I smiled reminding his actions of last night and walked away slowly from there to do my morning business.

I went to take the bath quickly.

I entered my Hammam and sat inside the pool. The warm water soothed me but the cold breeze was making me shiver to no extent. I poured the water over my hair and washed them softly. I didn't know but I was missing him again so much. A smile appeared on my face as I reminded how he was playing with my hair last night.

I reminded all his touch on my skin. It felt beautiful but I shook my head to clear all my thoughts.

He is just playing with me? He doesn't want anything with me.

I reminded myself again and completed my bath quickly.

I came back to my chamber and changed into a yellow attire.

I tied the long, heavy skirt neatly around my waist. It had the red roses embroidered on the border beautiful on yellow color. I changed the blouse and tied all the strings behind my back.

I opened the box of my jewelry and my sight fell on a red beaded neckpiece.

I tied it around my neck peacefully and looked at myself. I muttered.

"beautiful,"

I wore my bangles, anklets, toerings, rings, and headpiece after that quickly.

I got ready and loosened my wet hair bun to air dry them. I feathered them lightly with my fingers and left them like that. I placed my dupatta on my shoulder and tied a corner of it on the opposite side of my waist.

The other side was lying on the ground calmly.

I moved to get out of the rest part of the chamber and came back to the bedroom.

The Sultan was still lying over the bed half-naked and resting on his stomach.

I walked closer to him and looked at his sleeping face.

His hair was messed up and his lips were looking more beautiful now. I smiled looking at him and moved to my table in the corner of my chamber.

I applied my perfume and reminded the last night. When I smelled him. He was truly giving me hard times last night.

I came back to the bed and thought of waking him up as it was morning completely.

I stood beside him and called him softly.

"Sultan,"

He didn't move as he seems to be in deep sleep.

I called him again and he moved a little this time.

He lifted his lashes and looked at me adjusting his gaze with the light.

He took a deep breath stretching his body and turned on his back.

"Get up, don't you have work today," I asked him.

He looked at me again and started feathering his hair.

"I slept really well here," He said calmly with a hoarse and rough voice.

"Of course, after irritating me you must have got good sleep,"

I said teasing him.

He chuckled a little and said looking at me with a sharp gaze.

"Looking beautiful today,"

My words hung in my throat for a moment and lowered my gaze.

He got up from bed throwing the comforter aside and walked slowly closer to me.

He stood against me and I noticed how beautiful and tanned his skin was looking.

His finely grown body was something that always twists my stomach in a bad way.

He slowly forwarded his hand towards me and collected me in a hug. I was taken off-guard for a moment. Couldn't understand what was he doing.

I tried to close my eyes as he placed his palm on my head softly patting and snaked his other one around my waist.

He kissed my head and muttering.

"Please forgive me for the last night,"

A wide smile appeared on my face as he said.

He slowly released me from the hug and muttered.

"You smell hits my brain," Was this the compliment or insult.

I thinned my eyebrows not understanding him.

"Now, I should go. Have some work. Thank you for last night." He said slowly and I felt butterflies in my stomach.

I nodded, not able to answer something sensible and he went from there.

Suddenly, I reminded that I had to meet Ibrahim. He was going to teach me some more today.

I quickly had my breakfast and asked Nagma to send my message to him.

And, I also remember that Sultan permitted me to see his library.

When Nagma came back she told me that he was going to have breakfast with Sultan. He would join me later.

I nodded listening to her and asked.

"Nagma, can you take me to Sultan library"

"Library?"

I nodded.

"Okay," She agreed and I stood up from there.

I started walking with her and she took me to the Library crossing the various galleries and chambers.

"This is Sultan's Library," She said stopping against a huge door.

The door was dark brown in color craved in wood. It had the designs of skulls and roses carved in it.

Nagma pushed the door open and I stepped inside looking around.

It was filled with darkness and I took a few steps inside with nervousness.

Nagma moved quickly to light the few candles and I was able to see now. She opened the few windows and the cold breeze hit me with sunlight.

There were a few red-colored couches with a table in front and the whole place was filled with wooden shelves.

The table in middle was a small one having a lamp over it.

The sofas around were huge and comfortable to sit in. It was peaceful and beautiful at the same time.

I looked over my head and realized that it also had a round roof with a beautiful design carved in it.

One thing I noticed too was that it was so clean. I wasn't even able to see any particle of dust there.

The carpet on the floor was so beautiful too.

"What types of books you are reading?"

I shivered as I heard Ibrahim saying while entering from the door.

I smiled.

"I am not reading anything now," I said.

He nodded and said.

"I was looking for you and one of your attendees said that you are here. So, I came here too."

"Ohh," I said and asked him.

"Can you suggest to me some poetry books?"

He nodded and we both started exploring the library.

It had so many books to read. I didn't read that much in my life. But, it seems like Sultan was a decent reader.

I looked at Ibrahim who handed over me a bunch of books to read.

We both sat on the couches after searching the books and started discussing the Arabic words. (Urdu)

He told me so many words and I tried to memorize them. Although, I knew what they say when they greet when they meet and so many more.

The time passed in reading with Ibrahim in the library and he didn't leave any chance to make me laugh most of the time.

The brightness in the places seems to be reduced as the sun sets in its direction almost.

I looked outside the window and it was evening almost.

"Ibrahim, I think we should go now." I tried to say.

"Ji, Bhabhijaan"

He said and I took his permission to leave.

I moved back to my chamber and it seems peaceful.

"You are back Begum," Nagma said looking at me.

She cleaned a chamber so much and I said sitting on the couch.

"Yes, I learned a lot today," I said smiling at her.

I had my dinner and walked a little after that.

I didn't know but I was missing Sultan again. I reminded how we fought in the morning. How he teased me last night.

I smiled reminding all this and lied over the bed.

I woke up early this morning and that's why my eyes were feeling heavy. I drifted into sleep and the night passed like that.

I woke up in the morning and got ready.

Sultan didn't come last night to meet me and I was slightly missing him. I thought that everything was going normal but it didn't seem like it. I was feeling upset again.

Ignoring that I went to meet Ibrahim to continue what I was learning. We again spent the whole day there and No doubt I was enjoying learning the new language.

He was speaking so well and today I tried to speak to him. The day was easy to pass but I was missing Sultan in the evening.

I came back to my chamber and asked Nagma.

"Where is Sultan? He didn't come to see me."

"I think, there is something going on in the palace. He went to meet Zeenat Begum, Ibrahim Sultan and there was some discussion with Badi Ammi too."

"Ohh," I said hoping everything was okay.

I lied on the bed after finishing my dinner waiting for Sultan to come and see me. But he didn't come.

I woke up in a jerk reminding that Sultan didn't come last night too. It was morning and I looked around.

My chamber looked so empty without him.

I got ready to meet Ibrahim. I have heard that he would be leaving for his state tomorrow.

I chose cream-colored attire for today and completed my look with green beady jewelry.

I went to meet Sultan first.

I entered his chamber and saw him getting ready and seems like he was in hurry.

"Sultan," I said and greeted him.

He looks disinterested in me and kept doing his work.

"Is everything alright?" I tried to ask.

He lifted his gaze to look at me and said with a cold-hearted tone.

"Yeah, Don't worry"

He said and left me there walking outside the chamber in hurry.

I felt bad seeing him like that. How could he behave with me like that?

Ignoring that I went to meet Ibrahim. He was a nice guy for sure. His behaviour was almost soft towards me, unlike Sultan.

But Inside, I was missing Sultan a lot. I didn't know why it seems like he was angry with me. And I could feel as if he didn't like me meeting with Ibrahim.

But, if that was the case he could have told me. Right?

The day came to an end after the discussion and I learned a lot today too.

I went back to my chamber and had my dinner.

I was looking at my door for Sultan but he didn't seem like coming.

I didn't know why but it was eating me inside. How could he ignore me like that?

I had to see him if he was not coming to see me.

I stood up from the couch and went to meet Sultan.

It was late evening and the moon was shining a lot. The cold breeze hit me when I came out of my chamber.

I knocked on his chamber and he said.

"Come in,"

I pushed the door open and looked inside of it.

The chamber was filled with dim light and I looked at Sultan who was sitting on the couch alone.

I called him slowly.

"Sultan!"
